'This is a long overdue review. We booked this as a goof, thinking it would be some wacky disaster that might lead to a good story. Instead, we were blown away by how awesome it is. The cabins are small, so don't ignore the descriptions. They're a place to sleep and keep your stuff. That's by design. 'My husband and I stayed here with our pup and had a wonderful time! We wanted a break from the city where we would be in total peace and seclusion, and this place really delivered. The home is so thoughtfully decorated - it was the perfect blend of modernity and classic log cabin. The kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you need, including spices and kitchen staples. 'Cabin is well stocked with EVERYTHING you could need for a river trip and cabin vacation. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were games hiden all over the home as well as a full basement with washer and dryer. The yard was stocked with kayaks, canoes, and wood for the camp fire! The host was patient, kind, and accommodating on every level and I would move in there in a heartbeat. I cannot wait to book again next summer or even maybe for a winter stay!'

'August 9 - 16Extended family reunion. 18 adults and 2 children staying in 4 cabins on the property. Plenty of rooms and beds for all to sleep comfortably. Well equiped kitchens. Limited kitchen facilities in club house, however we had most of our group meals in Eagle Manor. 'We had a wonderful stay! The house is great for large groups, we had 7 people and had lots of extra beds. The guest house is perfect for teenagers that want to feel a bit of freedom! We came from NYC so our teenagers loved having the space. The kitchen is well appointed and the house is clean and cozy. The property it’s self was stunning. 'We had a great stay! For the price, you can't beat it having lake front rental with kayaks. Nice views of the lake. Very peaceful. 15-40mins away from great hiking. It was private; sometimes we heard neighbors, but rarely. House on a main road and would hear road noise, but if no cars passing, then it was quiet. We used the kayaks, and I brought my paddleboard. "Terrible place to stay, hallways dirty, boxes and other rubish was scattered troughout the hotel. Firealarm was beeping loud in the room, and was hanging from the wall. The room smelled horrible. Went down to check-in and got another room. Smelled a little better but stuff was dirty, dust everywhere. Only superficial cleaning done. This was the only somewhat affordable hotel around but you better drive those extra 25 miles! Never again. "
