'The house met all of my expectations. Plenty of towels were provided and extra linens were available as well. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and make coffee. The house is exactly as pictured. The neighborhood is a nice quiet neighborhood, I felt safe. There was soap left behind in the shower from the person that stayed before us but that wasnt a huge deal. The communication was good when I was trying to book but when I was trying to move my booking over a day, I never heard back...

'My cousins and I very much enjoyed our 2nd stay at the Matteson’s rental cabin. It’s the perfect home base for a trip to Old Forge. It has everything you need - comfy beds, a nice bathroom with shower, kitchen with fridge, microwave, and regular coffee maker, and a fire pit. We were grateful for the air conditioning too. Bridget is a kind and responsive host. We hope to come back ASAP! :)'

'The home is in great shape with a beautiful view of the lake. It is a little challenging to actually use the lake from here.'

'Beautiful cabin in a rural NY setting. Lindsay was an excellent host, with a rapid turn around response for my inquiries. Due to car trouble we needed to stay an extra night, which was available! The cabin was clean, the fire pit was wonderful, there was lots of birds and I also saw 2 toads. Would absolutely stay here again.'

'Less spot, was fine for us for the two nights. We didn’t spend much time at the house since we were in town for a wedding and had a lot of festivities surrounding the event. We ran out of toilet paper the first morning I reached out to the host and didn’t get a response for hours. So we had to go out and get our own toilet paper to last us the rest of the day. The stairs are very, very steep to get to the bedrooms, if I had children, I would be more concerned with them. But it was fine for us...

'We were initially hesitant as the property had no reviews but that's only because Pat is just starting to rent it out, so definitely don't let that stop you. In fact, book now before the word on this hidden gem gets out. The house is immaculate and modern but designed with a lodge feel and many cute details throughout. 'Perfect place for 2 couples to stay the weekend while in town for the Boilermaker races. Great location. Home was very clean and tidy and kitchen had all the utensils you would need. Common areas were very spacious and the central AC is always nice in the summertime. The full bathroom was a little small for 4 adults to share, but serviceable over just a weekend. It would really be nice if there was a washer/dryer included, to wash those sweaty running clothes after the Boilermaker. But, we...
