'This was our second visit. We had a marvelous time. We just love the house, it has all the amenities that we need. It's like a home away from home. However, the TV in the living room only offers five local channels to watch, but we utilized Netflex. Also, it would have been nicer if the grass had been cut prior to our arrival so we could have enjoyed being in the yard. They came to cut the grass the day we were leaving. Otherwise, it was an excellent stay.'

'Wr had a wonderful time. The house was so spacious we could spread out and not feel like we were piled on top of each other. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds and baths were clean and comfortable. We were close enough to town to walk to restaurants and shops. This is a quiet neighborhood in a small town, but we spent a day in St. Louis, only an hour or so away. And the eclipse, what a bonus! 'House and property were awesome! Little hard to find first time in the dark and raining but Brittany talked us right to it. Bring your own hangers. We loved sitting on the back porch watching the wildlife in and around the lake.'

'Our only regret was that our trip was so short! Check in and check out was seamless. The house was very clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the equipment one might need. We enjoyed the quiet and seclusion of the location. Having access to a private lake was a very special thing. My husband and son enjoyed kayaking and using the pedal boat and I loved the screened in deck where I could take it all in and read a book. The fish in the lake were active and we saw some interesting birds and...

'We loved Black Bear Cabin and would definitely stay again! The place was absolutely spotless and had everything we could need, plus some extra touches like K-cups and creamer for our morning coffee. There are games and books, and the game room has tons of fun things to do. Miranda was very responsive and even had the AC going for us when we arrived on a 90-degree day! We will stay again.'

'Four of us stayed here for the eclipse. The place was perfect for our needs. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were a lot larger than I was expecting. The nearby trains can be a little loud, however the host was prepared with earplugs for sleeping and we all slept well. It is an easy walk to downtown and restaurants. I recommend La Fuente, or Joe's Pizza. My only suggestion would be for more comfortable chairs in the living room.'
