'Great room but expensive. There is no pool to the Safari Club. Next door Safari Hotel has a small pool with small deck. For a hotel at this (price) level, a pool should be a must. The complimentary happy hour, and high tea are a fun little extra. We stayed 3 nights but I believe 2 is enough to see the Victoria Falls and some wildlife.'

'Beautiful, green grounds and a spotlessly clean property. The staff were the highlight: warm, attentive and genuinely helpful throughout. Breakfast is included and it was excellent.
The location works well too. You're in Kambanji, about 10 minutes from most of the eastern suburbs, so Highland Park, La Parada, Mozambik, Ocean Basket and Upstate are all an easy drive. Mukuvisi Woodlands and the city galleries are close enough for a half day out, and Wild Is Life near the airport is worth the trip...

'This is a fantastic gated site the major problem is internet connection, it may be a regional problem, the owners have been responsive and done their best to provide internet services. The on site parking is good and breakfast is served to your room, each single lodge contains all services; fridge, kettle microwave the staff are very friendly offering a washing and ironing service for a small fee'

'The staff were attentive, warm and very engaging, from those in maintenance to the ones in the restaurant. Tendo was a rock at the front desk! She helped us get trusted drivers for transportstion when required. The property grounds were well maintained and we found the room and bedding comfortable. The location is convenient - slightly off the main road but within walking distance of town of Victoria Falls if so desired (25-30 minutes). Would highly recommend Batonka Lodge!'

'The place is decent. Breakfast had some nice options. It’s not a buffet, it’s à la carte. It’s not a 5star hotel, so keep your expectations right. Usually you are there to explore not to chill in the hotel. For that purpose it was good. The only thing is that they don’t have housekeeping signs for your door. We usually don’t accept housekeeping until is extremely necessary, however there they enter your room everyday to prepare the room for your sleep. Once we asked to not be bothered in the...
