South Coast Big Sur; Peaceful Retreat met prachtig uitzicht

Ontsnap aan de drukte naar de zuidkust van Big Sur! Kom en verblijf in onze rustige 8 hectare grote retraite in de buurt van Gorda, Plaskett Creek Campground en Sand Dollar Beach ongeveer een uur rijden ten zuiden van Big Sur. Gelegen op ongeveer een mijl op een verharde onverharde weg, toegankelijk voor de meeste voertuigen (4WD VEREIST IN REGEN DOOR SPOREN EN SLIPPERY ROAD). Het is bereikbaar via snelweg 1.

Het huis ligt op 800 meter boven de Stille Oceaan met uitgestrekte uitzicht op de oceaan en de bergen vanuit elke kamer. Als je door de poort aan het einde van de oprijlaan gaat, passeer je een klein redwood-bos dat leidt naar de 1600 m² buiten het roosterhuis aangedreven door zonne-energie en propaan met vers bronwater. Onlangs gerenoveerd, dit prachtige huis beschikt over gewelfde plafonds met veel ramen om de schoonheid van Big Sur binnen te laten. Inclusief beperkte internettoegang, een 55-inch tv voor dvd's, een vaste telefoon op internet voor korte noodoproepen en een beperkte ontvangst van Verizon mobiele telefoons vanaf het dek. Elk van de twee slaapkamers heeft een nieuw queensize bed (2016) en beddengoed. De twee volledige baden zijn mooi ingericht. De keuken is volledig uitgerust met alles wat u nodig heeft voor uw verblijf. Het dek heeft een tafel met 4 stoelen en 4 ligstoelen en propaan BBQ met propaan voorzien. Het huis is omgeven door Big Sur-tuinen die met de seizoenen veranderen. Het huis heeft on-site conciërges die de oprit delen en in het conciërgewoning wonen, ongeveer 150 meter van het hoofdgebouw, achter een privacy hek.

Binnen een schilderachtige 60 minuten rijden van ons huis, kunt u via Highway 1 naar Esalen Institute, het iconische Nepenthe Restaurant en Gift Shop, Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, McWay Falls, rustieke Deetjen's Restaurant, Henry Miller Library, Hawthorne Art reizen Gallery, Ventana Inn and Spa, Post Ranch Inn en Big Sur Garden Gallery, evenals Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, River Inn en Andrew Molera State Park. Amazing experience

Amazing views and the house was exacting as pictured. The house was spotless and all of the comforts were there. Good quality cookware, knives and dishes, everything provided was top notch. Beautiful landscaping and nothing but peace and quiet. The owners were quick to answer any questions I had and the caretakers, Daniel and Melissa were so nice and were more than happy to help with all of our needs. It was a perfect vacation.

That view!

Took a short holiday road trip with the wife and dog and the house was exactly as listed. The road up has the potential to be a little tricky in very wet weather, but it wasn’t bad in the December drizzle. The house was stocked with all the basics you might need, but come prepared, it’s a long way back to civilization. And it’s all about that incredible view from the deck!

We celebrated our honeymoon here and it was breathtaking! Everything in the home is thoughtfully placed, from games and cutlery to extra toiletries in the bathrooms. And you seriously need a 4wd to get up here, it was gorgeous and worth it.

Beautiful and unique—be ready for an adventure!

We stayed at this lovely cabin as part of a big bucket-list trip for my parents. They had never been to Big Sur, and we wanted to give them an experience they wouldn’t forget—and this delivered!! The house itself is absolutely lovely and has everything you need for a great stay and more. Being so high above the ocean offers a chance for incredible views—as long as there are no clouds, which, sadly, there were many during our stay! But it did eventually clear up a bit, and it was SO worth it. You can catch the view from almost anywhere in the house, and the best place is, of course, the upstairs deck. Just amazing! Do heed the warning about the dirt road up to the property, though—we were very glad we did, and we made sure that our rental car had AWD before we got there. We had a little trouble getting up the road because we weren’t sure which way to turn at one point (turns out that left was the right answer!), so we slowed to a stop, which made it tough to gain traction again. We were in a minivan, which did make it up there, but a Jeep or truck would have had a much easier time! We chose to bring everything we needed up there with us so we wouldn’t have to leave, and that felt like the exact right way to do it. The cabin is comfortable and so pleasant, and it’s a wonderful place to rest and relax. We got to meet Nicole, one of the owners, who stayed to make sure we were able to get up the road and in the house okay, which we really appreciated!

Wonderful honeymoon!

We had a fantastic honeymoon week here and would love to stay again! This place is in an incredible location. We were able to do some day trips into Cambria but also just spent a few days at the house enjoying the view. We had no trouble with the dirt road in our Subaru Forrester. The caretakers were friendly but respected our privacy. We enjoyed sitting by the fire on foggy evenings. Looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful but a challenge

We were at the end of a very busy vacation. The "easy" part we thought! Lol In a Jeep or Crosstrek I'd have had fun on that drive up to house but in a big truck it was not. The views were mostly of the top of clouds but we did get some peaks of beauty. Would go again if woth a feiend and staying a week

First time family trip to Cali

This was our first time traveling to California, coming from the east coast. We found everything we were looking for in our trip to Sunshine Alley. Relaxation, adventure, and memories that will connect us to this place forever. Our hosts were instrumental in setting us up for an enjoyable visit. They were diligent about sharing travel information to their house and ensuring we had all the knowledge needed to prepare us for our trip. The house is in an amazing location, where we found the solitude very relaxing, while we also had the comfort of having the caretakers nearby should we need anything. We enjoyed the curated natural surroundings and our teen daughter remarked it felt as if we were in a fairy tale. We had everything we needed at the house for our stay; cooking meals, family game time, or catching a movie. We easily took day trips to various beaches, waterfalls, and local towns. Each day presented us something fantastic. We even got buzzed by USAF Fighter jets one afternoon while sitting on the deck. Even though highway 1 was closed to the north, we still had tons to do and see.
