'We were in visiting from the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay, just a little one-night getaway for us. Conveniently located right near the aquarium, which we had visited before checking-in. The Almanette is absolutely Wonderful!!! Delicious food, fantastic service all around, clean room. Everything was great! So happy to have found this place. 'Good location, Close to beach and restaurants. There were electric bikes around the corner. I was confused about parking as I thought it’d we inside the compound. I felt safe, I had no safety concerns. I would suggest fragrance as it smelt stale upon entry every time we entered, places to hang towels to dry. And window coverings or curtains in case someone wanted it for the bathroom area. Overall I would definitely stay again! '

I wish the pool was heated or that there was a large hot tub to enjoy the pool area when it's a little cool outside. Overall it was a good value. '

'Our room was relatively clean, but it reeked of cleaning solution-so much that we could hardly stand to be in the room. Overall, the entire complex needs a good cleaning-minus the strong smell!'

'Parking was in the back of the property. It was easy to get into the house with the code. Our room was upstairs and we had no problem getting into our room. The house was clean and decorated beautifully. We enjoyed sitting outside in the shade. We were able to walk down to some shops and get a bite to eat. '

'Right next to the train tracks. Expect sleep interruptions. No check-in desk, no staff - more like an Air BnB. Shared terrace with many of the second floor rooms. No place to eat breakfast. Would not stay there again.'
