Traveled with my mom to a gospel show! When we got there we had a bit of issue with check in. The hotel staff were very pleasant though & the rooms were clean for the most part. There was a spot of the doorframe to the bathroom where we could not differentiate between it being old dried blood or just wasted food that may have been dropped and splashed onto the wall. Also, the hotel is in a little secluded area and it’s secure with locked doors all the way around so that’s a plus. But the areas across the street & only a few blocks down were very sketchy & it was not safe at all. They were people hanging out outside of the restaurants around the hotel when trying to get something to eat so we left! And upon check out the guy at the fromt desk told us he would reimburse us for the half cleaned room but he was supposed to be in contact with us because we paid with cash! He never followed up or gave us our money back! Other than that It was a decent hotel stay for 1 night! I would revisit just next time check my room before I put my stuff down and pay where I can be reimbursed immediately should I have any issues.

The bathroom needed to have been vacuumed better. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was fine. Breakfast quite decent. Decent value for the money.

Room was dirty, lights were broken, toilet seat was broken, food was on the wall and lampshade, found previous occupants’ personal items. Clearly the room was not cleaned or even serviced before we checked in. Unacceptable.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed here for a swim meet. I would do it every time we come to Birmingham. You can't beat the convenience to the Crossplex. The only negative is the breakfast is limited. There are warm options - waffles, eggs, sausage. But that was it. It probably had to do with the hotel being full from a track and field meet and a swim meet. There was always food just a lack of options. Overall very satisfied with my stay.

Be on time
The staff was friendly. They greeted you every time they saw you. The breakfast was on time. If you waited 5 or 10 beforehand, you were lost. I do like even though the attendant gave guests a small scolding, she did her the muffin. I dare not asked. It was understandable because of the ration the hotel have to do. And the weekend, a holiday weekend was here.

Well worth it! Clean, comfy, and good value.
Found this place on hotels.com at the last minute while traveling with our family. So glad we did! Super comfy beds, yummy free breakfast, clean and friendly. I only wish breakfast went till 9:30 am instead of 9. We got in around midnight and could have used a bit more sleep.

My sheets were dirty and had this mucus like thick stains on the sheets both at the bottom and top. We stayed two days and the trash wasn’t emptied at all but the kind lady at front desk gave me sheets and a large trash bag.
