  • Dit lichte appartement boven de villa is perfect voor diegenen die centraal Schotland willen verkennen. De nabijgelegen Erskine-brug geeft toegang tot Loch Lomond en de prachtige westkust, terwijl de M8 Glasgow, Edinburgh of de mooie dorpjes van Fife's East Neuk, op een klein eindje rijden ligt. Great location for exploring Glasgow and Loch Lomond

A great place for our family. Quiet and easy to take one of the frequent trains into Glasgow. Easy to drive to Loch Lomond and even further north. We enjoyed a day out to Glen Coe. Overall, a wonderful place to stay and easy to communicate with the host.

Beautiful House and Surrounding

We spent a very relaxing holiday here. The apartment is spacious, cosy and equipped with everything you need. The train station is less than 5 minutes' walk away. The train to Glasgow takes 15 minutes. The coast and the national parks are fantastic. We would gladly come back anytime!

Quick visit to Bishopton

Rental was located near the airport and train station, very convenient. All beds were comfortable. We had a little difficulty with getting hot water for the shower sometimes. Perhaps a note to explain to renters? Overall, everyone enjoyed their stay. There were six of us.

Excellent stay

The house was perfect for what we needed. Plenty of space to hang out, lots of sleeping space. The location is excellent too, 2 minutes from the station for easy access into Glasgow and the west coast (ie golf!). Nice selection of amenities too...the Post Office across the road has a breakfast counter and is ideal for snacks. There's a good bar for food and drink 5min walk away, plus a very nice Indian restaurant. And Sainsbury's is 5min away too. All in all, everything was spot on!

Bishopton is a small village about an 8 minute drive west of the airport. Apartment is on quiet dead end street so no continuous car traffic. On property car parking. Train station short walk. Groceries also a short walk past the train station. We rented a car for travelling further but when going into Glasgow we used the train. The house was built in 1860 and has by my guess 14 foot high ceilings. Solid construction. We would definitely return in the future.

Great home close to Glasgow central

We have stayed in many rentals and this is up there with the best. Lovely apartment within a house. Train station into Glasgow very close by but no noise. Great for airport and also areas such as Loch Lomond. Rooms are big, light and airy. Beds very comfortable. Lovely kitchen area with everything you need. Thanks for the tea, coffee, etc. On arrival. There is a large lounge area which is good for relaxing. Having 2 separate bathrooms makes a big difference particularly for mixed groups. Would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend this homely apartment

As a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children) we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and very spacious apartment. The apartment was clean and felt like home to us, made special by the little extra of a welcome pack on arrival (which was handy arriving late at night). The bed in the double room was extremely comfortable and all of us had a fantastic nights sleep. The apartment is ideally situated for touring Scotland and is also a convenient 10 mins drive from the airport. We chose the apartment as our daughter was competing at the British Championship at Tollcross, which was only a 25min drive via the accessible motorways. It was lovely to escape Glasgow back to this quiet, relaxing place at night. Bishopton itself is a lovely quiet village and has a Coop plus some great restaurants if you fancy a meal out. The owner recommended the local country club restaurant Palominos as a place to eat, which did not disappoint. We would highly recommend this wonderful place for seeing the sights of Scotland and we would definitely rebook for whenever our daughter competes at Tollcross in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Home from home.

Second time to stay here and it was every bit as good as the first. Ideal house for travelling with kids. Everything you could require is there. Beth the owner very kindly provided us with a stroller at my request. The house is extremely clean and spacious. Very convenient to the train station and motorways for sight seeing. We would highly recommend this accommodation for families or small groups. We will be certainly be back again the future!

Fantastic place to stay..........highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay here in July 2018. This villa is superb in every way, situated on a quiet road, it is spacious, airy and very welcoming. The decor is stunning and the entire house was spotlessly clean. Linens supplied were fresh and plentiful.The kitchen is well equipped and is bright and well laid out yet very compact. The private garden at the back of the property offered a pleasant place to enjoy breakfast and many a coffee outdoors. Private off street parking was also an added bonus. The location of the villa was perfect for our needs with local shops, all within a few minutes walk. The train station is literally a few steps from the house. Bishopton is a lovely little village, a perfect spot for touring local & surrounding areas. Lis was most helpful as was Debbie when we required extra bedding at short notice. All in all we had a truly memorable stay here and would highly recommend this property.

Holiday retreat

Lovely Property, conveniently located close to the local rail network for ease of access to the city. Met at property with a warm welcome, everything explained (no stone left un-turned) down to a supply of tea coffee etc. to get us started. Plenty of space for all the family, rooms all well-appointed, ample parking. Flat had everything required to keep all amused and catered for. Beth and Family polite courteous and good communicators putting everyone at ease making the move in very easy and it felt like home for the period of time we were there. Would recommend it to all great base for a West coast break also with easy link over Erskine Bridge to Loch Lomond.

Arrived on 4th July with 2 very sea sick children and contacted the owner asking to get into the property early. This was no problem at all and we were allowed immediate access. The pictures don't really do the house justice as it is a very spacious welcoming flat. It was immaculately clean and there was a very much appreciated packet of shortbread, tea, coffee and milk. Towels, bed linen and bath mats all supplied and were pristine and plentiful.The apartment is well equipped with everything a family would need for a holiday even down to plastic crockery, toys and books for children. When required the heating was easy to operate and the flat extremely cosy. My 2 children took great advantage of the swing and garden. I can't recommend this apartment highly enough. The owner and her mother were so helpful and approachable. Will definitely be back again and have recommended this property to a number of people already.

Good "Glasgow" Base

We stayed for a couple of nights celebrating a local family occasion. The property was well positioned for an exploration of Glasgow and the surrounding areas with excellent road links and exceptional rail links! The local store was really handy and well stocked. We found the property clean and well maintained. We would return to this property and are considering this for further exploration of the area. Just need to change the Scottish licencing laws to enable me to buy a bottle of 80 shilling beer when I arrive into Glasgow airport at 5 minutes after 10!!

Perfect

From the moment we were met at the driveway and welcomed to the property up until the time we left, our stay was perfect. The property is gorgeous, clean, well maintained, and light and airy. The owners have thought of everything for you. Our bedrooms were just lovely, try and snag the main one with the walk in wardrobe and ensuite, its luxury. Liz who initially welcomed us and then left us in peace gave us lots of tips for restaurants, shops etc. My elderly parents loved staying here and it is central to everything. We would not hesitate to stay again. In fact I am booking for next year.

Fab apartment!

After our recent stay at the Bishopton apartment, I'm very happy to say that we loved it! My daughters (17 months and 3) both appreciated the use of the toys provided - they totally forgot about the toys we'd taken for them! We loved the high ceilings and space that the apartment gave us. The kitchen is small but well equipped and the rooms are all cosy and clean. I would definitely recommend this as a good base for a visit to Glasgow.

Superb Apartment!

What a superb apartment! This apartment was exactly as described on the website - in fact it was better. Excellent location - convenient, not far from the city, very close to train station, but in a lovely residential road and very quiet and tranquil. The Apartment was very spacious, with lovely high ceilings, large rooms and very well appointed (beds and sofas comfortable) with all the amenities you would need for a comfortable stay. Even toys and books if children were staying, and books and DVDs in the lounge. Spotlessly clean and cleaner did superb job once a week. Owners were just lovely. So helpful without being intrusive - nothing was too much trouble. (even when we locked ourselves out on the second day of our stay!!) We stayed here during our time in Glasgow, volunteering at the Commonwealth Games. Long working hours and consequent tiredness were made so much easier knowing we were coming back to a home from home. Can highly recommend booking this apartment - you won't be disappointed. Good value too. Thanks Beth & Lis for a brilliant stay.

Outstanding

Really enjoyed our week in this apartment. Liz was so helpful, over and above the normal, even taking us to the supermarket so that we didn't get lost. So close to the station (you never hear the trains) it was easy to go into the centre of Glasgow or further afield by train, so no need to take the car and worry about parking. A good base for touring by car too with many attractions within easy reach. Can really, really recommend this apartment.

Perfect!

We stayed for three nights in November and the flat was exactly what we were hoping for. To sum it up, our four year old son said "if we could get a house like this, it would be really good"! Everything we could have needed for a stay with children and adults was there. A room full of toys kept the children entertained for the whole trip, they were vexed whenever we went out and we never even opened our own bag of toys. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and even had plastic plates and cups for children. We were going to be bringing my parents but they stayed elsewhere. However, if they had stayed there would have been plenty of room as there are effectively two living spaces with the huge lounge and then a seating and Tv area in the kitchen. There is a lovely back garden with a swing and plenty of room to run around. It is perfectly located only a stones throw from the train station to get into Glasgow or 5 minutes by car to Erskine bridge and the M8. The owners Mum was extremely helpful and friendly and telly added to the experience. We would definitely return and frequently. It is a fantastic flat for a family holiday.

A Lovely Weekend!

Stayed here with our in-laws. We all had a wonderful stay. Apartment is lovely, spacious and well presented. It's situated on a very quiet road, yet only yards from the train station if you fancy leaving the car at the apartment during your stay. Wish we could stay there longer :)

It is a pleasure to recommend this property. We stayed at this wonderful apartment for 5 nights (2 + 3 children). The apartment located in a very convenient point allowing fast access both to the local train (we didn't use?) and the motorways (used alot?). Within a few minutes, and without any significant traffic, you'll be on your way to the A82 leading to Loch Lomond or wherever you want to go. It is equipped with all the necessary amenities such as dish-washer, washing machine, dryer, kitchen equipment, 2 TVs (+ dozens of DVDs (thanks Beth!), w bathrooms? Above all, the attitude of Beth was marvelous! We had a problem with our luggage that didn't arrive with us on the same flight, and thanks to Beth the matter was solved (thanks again!). If we ever have the chance of visiting this wonderful country (Scotland) we'll definitely return to this property!

Fantastic place!

We stayed at the apartment for a long weekend with family and absolutely loved it. The flat is enormous, with high ceilings and lots of natural light. It is beautifully decorated and very clean. The beds were comfortable and had great pillows and duvets and the kitchen was well stocked (with milk and shortbread as well as tea and fresh coffee). It is a great location for exploring the parks nearby and very close to Glasgow airport (about 15 minutes drive if that). Lis, the owner's mum, was there to meet us and was very welcoming and friendly, even bringing a baby towel and toy for our baby. We all had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this to anyone wishing to stay in the area. Thanks very much for a great stay!
