Kom en geniet van dit unieke ruime appartement van 850 m² met een prachtig privédek van 300 m² met prachtig uitzicht op de bergen. Sporting een ruime woonkamer met 46 "flatscreen-tv, dvd-speler en videotheek, ligstoel en liefdesstoel met Franse deuren naar een prachtig privéterras met veel zitplaatsen om te ontspannen en te genieten van uw koffie of cocktail met uitzicht op een prachtig uitzicht op de bergen. Geniet van een grote BR met kingsize bed en 46 "flatscreen-tv, keuken / eethoek met tafel, grote koelkast, magnetron, broodrooster, keurig koffiezetapparaat / waterkoker, george foreman grill, (geen wasmachine / droger). Op ware grootte verstelbare bank en comfortabele love seat-zitting. Let op: dit appartement is "Niet-roken". De badkamer heeft een aparte ingang vanaf de slaapkamer en de keuken met een grote douche en een aanrecht. Als er zaken ontstaan, is er een grote werkplek beschikbaar met directiestoel. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere Spectrum TV en internettoegang, bordspellen, accessoires om gratis te trainen. Na een geweldige dag wandelen kunt u heerlijk ontspannen op het dek. Dit totale toevluchtsoord in de natuur is gunstig gelegen op slechts 5 minuten van het centrum van Black Mountain, genoemd als een van de 'Beste kleine steden' om te bezoeken in North Carolina door met schilderachtige bergwinkels, restaurants, brouwerijen, live muziek, paden, minigolf, wasserette, grote premier supermarkt, tankstation, fast food, en binnen 20 minuten naar Asheville, Biltmore, en de Blue Ridge Parkway.

Just what I needed

This was a perfect spot to start my move to NC. Location was great and the hosts, Marybeth and Tim couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. The unit was spacious and had everything I needed.

Great stay, convient location

Everything was great about our stay from check in to check out. Very cozy and had everything we needed. We loved the porch swing and beautiful sunflowers. Mary Beth and Tim were available for anything we needed. Very close to downtown Black Mountain. We loved the small town feeling. Very close to blue ridge parkway, chimney rock and lake lure! We will definitely be back.

We didn’t stay as the entry path was treacherous for my wife and I. Furthermore the kitchen did not have a cooktop or oven. Fortunately we were able to secure a room in Black Mountain and didn’t have to incur another 5 hour drive home. I have written to you to request a refund but have not received a reply.

Excellent stay

Wonderful stay at this basement apartment. Great outdoor area with covered porch for eating and working. Attentive hosts - the place was well-equipped and had everything we needed. We appreciated all the details - cooktop portable range and convection oven/air-fryer made for easy meals in, plenty of towels and blankets, and lots of reading materials about surrounding area and restaurants. There's even gym equipment and a large book and dvd collections. The only thing we didn't love was the bed - it's one of those where if your partner moves, you feel it, which didn't work for us light sleepers. But there are enough glowing reviews that make me think we are just sensitive!

Enjoyable!

We enjoyed our stay! The property was spacious and clean with a good bed, comfortable furniture throughout and a lovely deck area. It is convenient to downtown Black Mountain yet up on the hillside in a nice setting. It is also within an approximately 30 min drive to Chimney Rock, Mount Mitchell, and Asheville. The owners were very responsive with a minor problem we had. The only negative, was that the wifi is sketchy, frequently less than 1 Mbps.

Great getaway!

We had a perfect weekend getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary along with checking off a bucket list item. High Top Hideaway was very nice, roomy, clean, beautiful and convenient to both downtown Black Mountain as well as our bucket list destination of Biltmore Estate (only 20 minutes away). While we didn’t get an opportunity to meet our hosts in person, everything was in place and ready for our arrival including a nice bottle of wine (which we thoroughly enjoyed in the porch swing that evening). Black Mountain is a beautiful town completely surrounded by the mountains with a thriving downtown area complete with a number of shops and restaurants. High Top Hideaway is only about 5 minutes away but is in a secluded and very quiet spot. We would highly recommend this location for a couple looking to visit this area and all it has to offer. Our 3 night total was less than one night at the Biltmore lodging and gave a lot of other options we would not have had if we had stayed there!

Peaceful getaway

Mary Beth and Tim were wonderful hosts and the apartment was just lovely. It has everything you need for a few quiet days in the mountains, and they were very responsive to questions leading up to my arrival. Bed was comfortable, ample pillow options, plenty of space, not to mention beautiful outdoor deck and scenery. Just a few minutes drive into town for amenities, hiking trails, etc. Highly recommend.

We've been coming to the area for several years and staying at the same rental; however, it's recent sale had us searching for our next "home away from home". I'm happy to report that I think we found it!!! This place was absolutely perfect. Between the bedroom, living room and outside deck - there were plenty of options of where to "get away";. We love solitude and this hit the mark. We noticed all the "little things" like snacks, coffee pods, bottled water and excellent notes (i.e. how to operate the TV). To us, it's those little extras that go a long way I absolutely love this place and this will be my first choice going foward.

Home away from home

High Top Hideaway was AMAZING!!!!! I loved the stepping stone walkway to the deck and property, it was so inviting! Everything about this space was like being at home while being on vacation at the same time. The space was cozy and the bed was comfortable. The owners responded to my questions within a few minutes. I loved staying here and would want to stay again. The deck was so peaceful and loved sitting out there each morning and evening! Truly an amazing place to stay!
