'My husband and I stayed here for a week with our small terrier; it truly felt like our little home in the woods. 'First, let me say that the pictures do not really show how nice this house really is! It is a beautiful home perfect for that mountain getaway! We had a great time at our teacher retreat enjoying all of this space. The view is absolutely amazing! Getting there is a bit of an adventure (very narrow and winding roads and a very sharp turn on the road that leads to the home) as you are truly in the mountains away from it all, but the town of Black Mountain is not far. 'This was so easy, simple, and the cabin made the stay very memorable. Everything we needed was available and just far enough from Asheville to be "in" town. The town of Black Mountain was very quaint and provided a good walk through the town with lunch on our Saturday- restaurant recommendation the "pure & proper" thanks for opening your cabin - "we'll be back"'

'We enjoyed our stay. It was very nice to be so close to Black Mountain, one of our favorite towns. The hot tub was nice, but might want to check the chemical levels. Just a few minutes in and we were both itching, maybe the chlorine was too high. It's probably time to upgrade the couch and chair in the living room area. The leather or vinyl is peeling and the support system is sinking a bit. The place also really needs a deep clean. We have 3 pets ourselves, which we did not bring with us, so...

'This mountain cabin was perfect for our family. We had plenty of space, games and movies inside and fun trails on the property that allowed us to explore with our kids. Coffee on the porch overlooking the pond was a nice quiet morning bonus. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. Our family rates this cabin a 10 out of 10. We hope to be back in the near future.'
