"From the initial greeting by the hostess to the lovely kitchen personnel at breakfast, the staff were lovely!
The hotel presents beautifully and the common spaces have an old-world charm to them which was quite delightful.
Otherwise, it feels tired and seems to be in need of some caretaking to restore the details and bring the hotel up to a next level.
We’d stay again in a heartbeat, but the ear plugs provided were needed even with an inner-courtyard room, and the windows needed new or actual handles so they could be shut. But its location is perfect especially if Carlisle is simply a stopover, and the hotel would make a great simple basis for a couple days as you explore the area."
