Block Island historisch pand in de 'Old Town', oorspronkelijk gebouwd rond 1850, dit pand huisvestte de General Store. Volledig gerenoveerd in 1985 door de eigenaar, voorzieningen omvatten harde grenen vloeren en nieuwe keuken en bad. De slaapkamers zijn een queensize bed, een full-size bed en een futon slaapbank in de woonkamer om nog 2 personen te slapen, plus een eigen ingang en bad. Voorzieningen zijn onder andere een volledige keuken, gasgrill, airconditioning, draadloos internet en buitendouche. Ligstoelen opgesteld onder 2 esdoorns voor buiten zitten.


Sleutelwoorden: Dit historische pand (1850's) is volledig gerenoveerd en ligt op ongeveer 1,5 km van de stad en de stranden. Het huis heeft in totaal 3 units, bestaande uit 5 slaapkamers, 3 badkamers, queensize bank en 2 futonbanken (elke unit is geschikt voor maximaal 6 personen en de studio biedt plaats aan nog eens 4.) Voorzieningen zijn onder andere hard grenen houten vloeren, tegels bad, schotel TV, buitendouche, airconditioning, keuken van het apparaat. Kan gehuurd worden van zondag tot vrijdag (2-5 nachten) weekend-vrijdag-zondag (minimaal 2 nachten) of wekelijks (maximaal 7 nachten).

Excellent House and Host

Quaint 2nd Floor apartment

Charming, old fashion charm. A few spiders in the corners. Beds were not the most comfortable and you can definitely hear the people in the other apartments, above and below. Basics kitchen items provided. Overall, we were satisfied :)

Quiet and Cozy

Was a great place place to stay for a weekend wedding! Arnie was super helpful and personable and the place was comfortable for 5 of us (2 couples and a single)! Would definitely stay again when back on the island!

Good place to stay.

We were offered an early check in time but did not need it. You need to set up a time to arrive to meet Arnie. No remote check in. Air conditioning is not in the bedrooms. Keeping the windows open at night brought street noise in which made it hard to sleep. The bedrooms do have fans. You can walk to the airport for breakfast/ lunch but you need a car/ taxi to get everywhere else. I think the listing says that a car is not needed. You can hear the people upstairs moving around and apparently they could hear us talking since they came downstairs to ask us to quiet down. Mind you, we are women in our 40s who were just talking. We were there for 2 nights and it served our purpose of just sleeping there. It was nice that the rental does not require a week’s commitment. No late check out but Arnie said he could store our bags in his barn if we needed that. The kitchen is well equipped if you do want to cook. Outdoor shower was great! Plenty of towels to use at the house.

Our host was super friendly, they made sure we had everything we needed. They even let us borrow a book on the history of Block Island. We enjoyed reading it in the morning. Super clean and comfortable place to stay. Will definitely stay here again.

Great vacation

Our family had a wonderful stay at Arnie's center road apartment. Apartment was as described in listing. We found space to be bigger than it appears in pictures which was a plus. Great location. It is on the corner of a road so you do hear traffic but it was not bothersome to us. Apartment was clean and well stocked with supplies, beds were comfortable. Outdoor shower was a plus for the kids. Arnie was very pleasant and available if we needed anything. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here with my wife and children for our annual Block Island quick get away. Apartment was clean, has 2 private bedrooms and a Futton in the living room. Plenty of space for us. Conveniently located about 5 minutes from the ferry. Arnie was a great host and gave me advice on where to take my sons fishing. He has a wealth of Block Island knowledge! The outside shower was great. Would definitely stay again.
