Affordable, yet decent. The courtyard is great. The people are friendly. I like the new wooden floorboards- better than carpeting.

This was our second stay here. It's a nice older hotel. Our rooms have always been clean and comfortable. My 2 minor complaints are the ice machine was broken but the lady up at the front desk was able to get me ice.The room we were in the shower head is very low. There are s shaped shower arms that would raise the shower head up. I am 5'7" and I had to bend down to wash my face and wash my hair. This gives you an idea of how short the shower head was. Don't let these minor issue make you stay away from this place. It's a great hotel and we will continue to come back.

It is an older hotel on the outside but actually pretty cool, lots of greenery, trees and flowers. A cool little courtyard with bbq grill and tables a really cool little bar called Sleepers that had excellent food. Wife had a very good BLT and Sleepers chili was excellent. Our room was behind the property so it was quiet and peaceful. Very clean, newer king size bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing...nice tile and LOTS of water and pressure. Older but nice wallpaper and a nice sink area. We would definately stay here again if passing thru!! Breakfast was skimpy (oatmeal, cereal and bread products) but good enough for us at this price point, it was a great value overall and actually way better than we expected. Thanks Sleeper!!

The exterior of this motel definitely leaves something to be desired, but the rooms are nice and well maintained. It just feels like the last time there were property updates was the early 90s. Staff was very nice and the bar attached to the property made for a convenient evening. It’s a little over-priced for the condition, but we would stay there again.

This is such a nice and cute little spot, especially for the price! We got a free room upgrade, and i highly recommend a room facing the woods or garden. Definitely check out the bar at the hotel! It's also very easy to Uber or drive downtown from this location.

We love this place! A funky, retro vibe. A little off the beaten path but that's what we like. Rooms are a bit small but clean and comfortable. Easy access via Walnut St or the bypass to anywhere you want to go. Friendly staff. Now have a decent continental breakfast. We will continue to stay here anytime we are in Btown!

Nice, clean, updated rooms. Love the little bar attached... great food, great service, good entertainment, no cover. Only bad thing is if you are a smoker... smoking areas are out back.. kinda shady. Plus if you leave a butt they charge you for it. Otherwise really cool place.

What a great place to discover, a real diamond in the rough. I love how they have modernized some things in the room but left the cool old school feel and decorations. It was cool to go down to the bar at the hotel, and have a drink. I know some hotels still have bars, but not like this. You walked in and you knew back in it's day this used to be a happening place. (The only negative about the bar is the drinks are crazy expensive) If you are over 50 years old you probably remember when hotel bars were the thing long before clubs or whatever. Our room was clean comfortable and the towels were soft. I have paid more for rooms and they weren't as nice as this place was. I hope they continue to update the hotel but not loose any of the charm. We will be returning when we need a weekend getaway. They should offer customers loyalty rewards because we would be one.

The room was well maintained, clean with thr amenities. Ample room for parking and my check in and check out experience was quite smooth. The staff were friendly. The location was convenient as it was close enough to the IU campus as well as restaurants and gas stations.

It was really outdated and in need of repairs but it was cheap, clean, and the staff was quite friendly. I wouldnt have made this choice for an extended vacation stay but for a single night, it worked just fine.

Very LGBTQ friendly: This was the first hotel I've ever been to where the desk staff offered to change the name on my reservation from my deadname to my chosen name. Transportation: It is quite a walk to the nearest bus stop (which is even more difficult when it's the cold of February), but that's something for the city to improve. Most of the food in the vending machine right now is expired, and one of the coffee mugs in the room had residue from the previous guest, but the breakfast was great, the bed felt amazing, and I felt to be myself during my stay. Next time I'm in Bloomington I will definitely be staying here again.

Our room and the property interior was great. Clean, really nice breakfast area and the best coffee i have ever had at a hotel. Rate was reasonable. Custom great looking omelettes were available in the morning for a reasonable fee. Outside is a bit tired and misleading. The inside experience was great! I would definitely stay here again just for the coffee, lol. Just to clarify this is an old building that clearly has conscientious management and I get the impression renovations happen as funds allow. It is not a new chain hotel type of thing.
