Lovely cabin in a great location
This is a spacious, comfortable cabin conveniently located between Blowing Rock & Boone. We appreciated the nice kitchen, the views out back into the woods, and the fact that there are plenty of lights so you can sit anywhere and have enough light to read by. We ended up spending more time indoors the we had planned due to rain, so it was especially nice to have the extra space.

Amazing slice of paradise
Beautiful and quiet home very close to downtown boone. A perfect gem of a cottage with a nice little stream, a huge porch, and lots of birdwatching! Whether youre looking to see boone, or a quiet place to relax.. this is the place to stay!! 10/10

I loved staying at the cabin for the weekend. It was exactly as pictured, very clean and comfortable. I felt at home there which is rare for vacation booking. One the deck there is a babbling brook with a waterfall that is so peaceful. It is in a beautiful natural setting. I will stay again if the cabin is available when I return to that area.

Winter getaway
We enjoy staying here. This is our third trip and stay at the cottage. Very convenient location and cozy. So peaceful by a creek and easy to get to. Thanks for continuing to have your cottage available and keeping the price reasonable.

Little cozy cabin
2nd time we stayed here, This is a nice and affordable little cabin for two and a pet. Not to far from Boone and back road to Blowing Rock. It has all you really need to get buy on. Its not a 4 bed room mansion! Bathroom and bed room are on an upper loft, so you have to climb and nice little spiral stair case to get up there. But for people that don't care, Its great!! I would stay again in the future.

Wonderful cottage with great natural light and a convenient location. A word of warning: the bathroom is dated! But that’s mountain living and the price couldn’t be beat. Will absolutely stay here again.

perfect little cabin
What an awesome little cabin to stay for a few days! Perfect location between Boone and Blowing Rock - 10 minutes in either direction and you're in one of these great little mountain towns. Perfect retreat for 2 and a dog after a day of hiking and roaming cute little mountain towns, we had everything we needed...thanks Sarah, we had a great time, we'll definitely be back

Spotty wifi and no cell service
Wifi was intermittent which was unsettling since I was there with only a girlfriend of mine and an infant. Had I been there with my husband under the same circumstances I would have felt safer. But I ended up leaving after the first night because of the issues with the internet and no cell service. I contacted the owner about it and a refund for the second night, but they said the cord wasn’t plugged in completely and didn’t refund the night. My infant was not mobile so however it happened, it was a mistake on the property owner. The house was nice and it had a full kitchen which would have been convenient if we stayed. The location was perfect. Although the glass windows were nice during the day to bird watch, at night I felt invasive.

If you had let me know about the WiFi,the first day I would have come and plugged it in securely as it was just loose at the plug in.I did not find out until after you left.

Nice Mountain Getaway!
This is a great rustic cabin that we enjoyed for a weekend. Not for anyone with mobility issues, as the bathroom is upstairs. We had no trouble and loved the large windows!

Nice little cabin
Great for 2 or3 people that dont need alot, all the basics, just take your pet and chill in a smaller cabin that has your basic needs. We enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels that were staring at our dog thru the glass windows. Made her crazy lol! Gas stove , wood stove , spiral loft stair case up too bed room and plenty of wild life. Saw deers in little pasture across road playing and chasing each other. 10 mins from Boone and Blowing Rock, Nice little creek runs beside it too! Only issue IT DIDNT SNOW ❄️ but very relaxing. Thanks you Sarah for it sharing with us. Hope to come back next year!

Great location. A cozy cabin next to a babbling creek with nice views from kitchen and living room. Easy access to trails and parkway. Nice area to walk in. Well equipped rental (everything you could want).

I have never had any issues with safety as the neighborhood is very nice and friendly neighbors keep an eye out for one another

My favorite place on earth!
My son & I routinely sty at this spot & every time we enjoy our stay & create memories that will last us a lifetime. The property is nestled beautifully among nature, allowing bird & squirrel watching right from the living room. There are many trails to hike within a 5-10 minute drive, including the Blue Ridge Parkway. We are already looking forward to our next trip back up the mountain!

Love the rustic cottage
Thank you Sara for letting us stay at your cottage. We loved watching all of the wildlife out all of the large windows. And the creek by the deck is very relaxing. We live in Charlotte so this was a very much needed break from the city and to get off the "Grid". We would love to stay again!!!

Exactly what we needed
My wife, my dog and I absolutely loved our stay. The cabin was so beautiful and every night we sat out on the porch to listen to the creek and drink some local beers. We were close to the town and a lot of trails. We definitely plan on coming back again and recommend it to anyone

Not what I hoped for
The downside of alliwing pets I guess is that the living room smelled like wet dog. I guess if you bring animals it's not a big deal. The place badly needs a deep clean, no bird seed was available to refill containers and the squirrels kept banging them into the window in the early morning. Also if you like a very firm bed you're in luck. Unfortunately I don't...

Thank you so much for making this cottage available! Squirrels, chipmunks and birds were so entertaining! We loved the open window views. Slept well and Mr Coffee machine made a fine cup of my Starbucks French Roast ground. If we head back to the area again we know where to stay!

We loved being so close to both Boone and Blowing Rock. We got to enjoy both and not be in town with the crowds with our 2dogs. Nice house. Enjoyed our stay. Owner was very good about communication .

The bird feeders, great hot water supply with strong water pressure, lovely and plentiful natural light and a very responsive owner were all much appreciated. Best of all the location is near the Blue Ridge Parkway. This house felt like a work of art.

My wife and I really liked staying in blowing rock. The home is comfy and I enjoyed using the wood stove. There is electric heat too. The house is is tiny and perfect for two. Our pup Franklin enjoyed watching the wildlife through thw wonderful windows. I would recommend for anyone seeking a step back and break from from busy life. It is only half mile from sky valley zip line. Less than 2 or 3 miles from at least 3 hiking trails, fishing areas and shopping. Boone is wonderful and after my stay I am really thinking about relocating to the area. The property has a creek behind it and a small stream through the driveway.

Perfect Place
We had a great time staying here. Our family of three were celebrating our son’s fifth birthday. We skied at App Mountain which was very close (about a ten min drive) and went tubing at Hawksnest (about a 25 min drive). This place was perfect for visiting both places in the same trip. Sara was very helpful and responsive to messages. There were also little notes all over the place to help during our stay. We will be back to stay here. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

New Years Eve
Arrived the evening before NYE. Check in was incredibly easy. The cottage was warm and welcoming even though we arrived later in the evening. Kitchen was very well appointed for all your culinary needs. The cozy ambience persists from morning to evening. Our favorite part was the bird feeders that are visited every morning (sun or hail) by birds and squirrels. The location is ten minutes from downtown Blowing Rock and central to many hikes. Overall, a wonderful getaway. We were so sad to leave and hope to return soon.

A great stay!
We had a wonderful time staying at this cottage. Everything is accurate as described in the listing. The huge windows were especially awesome, we did a lot of bird watching. The location is so convenient to everything. The cottage feels very spacious because of the high ceilings and huge windows. We also enjoyed using the woodstove when it got chilly at night. I cooked a full Thanksgiving meal, there was plenty of room in the kitchen! Thank you for a great stay!
