We are disappointed about this review, as we work hard to ensure all guests have an enjoyable stay at Alpine Escape. In communicating with you, you had nothing negative to to say about your stay until it was brought to your attention that several concerns were found upon your departure. 1. There were 3 bed comforters that had to be professionally cleaned. 2. There was also a broken large vase smashed all over the hardwood kitchen floor. 3. It was revealed by neighbors you had brought two dogs into the cabin for your stay. Our cabin specifically states no pets are allowed. At no time did you inquire about bringing dogs. When I politely brought these concerns to your attention after your stay, you not only deflected all questions, you brought up false and personal claims. As for your concerns regarding the cabin. Even though we have never had any mold concerns or musty odors, we have since had a professional company inspect the cabin. There has been zero signs of mold detected by this company. You contacted us about not knowing how to work the mbr shower shortly before your checkout. I responded to you within two hours. I also had someone come out to inspect it. We just had all of our wooden decks professionally sanded and stained. Since your weekend stay was a rainy one, not all the furniture was put out for you. We have a grill and extra propane tanks in the garage. Our cabin has child gates at all of the stairways. It is always suggested to keep a close eye on your children and not let them go into certain areas unattended. As with many vrbo rentals, the only single surveillance device we have at our cabin is outside. It is for security protection and is vrbo approved. We’ve never had complaints about the showers, furniture and carpet. I’m sorry they were not up to your standards. As you can see from our dozens of other reviews our guests are happy with our cabin and we take great pride in our stellar rating and being a premier host.
