Very nice location and friendly staff. They would help you when needed. Small room but we didn't need more. You can't cook there but it has a microwave. Breakfast was good if you eat everything (bread, jam, peanut butter, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, coffee, tea, kind of juice (but with something chemical?), muesli, weetabix, milk. As I am a vegan there was not much to eat for me and the people didn't wanted to put an extra effort, so I ate the same everyday or took something of my own to eat. I also asked them twice (by booking and trough Facebook) if they could help me with this, but I didn't even get an answer. At this point it was not a good service at all. If you have this social media I think you also have to use this or just put it away. We also had a problem with the lock of our door. Hitting it (not so hard) would make it go open without even using the key. So no safety at all as everyone can come in. (Door is right at a path where everyone can come in if they want). We also left our key at the reception before breakfast and it disappeared. Of course also our fault because we didn't wait for the staff to give it. We also had a really bad smell of damp in the room what made that I felt like I had a cold. I think the beds were good cause I slept like a baby :)

Te duur voor wat het is, maar wel heel vriendelijk
We boekten een superior garden room, kamer op zich was ok, maar het hotel moet gerenoveerd worden, vooral het hoofdgebouw waar je ontbijt en s avonds kan eten. Het personeel, Wendy en andere nachtbalie personeel, was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze lieten ons de kamer houden tot 20u, zodat we nog konden douchen voor onze nachtvlucht. Lekker ontbijt. Niet proper. We vroegen om de kamer nogmaals te poetsen. Dat hielp, het rook veel beter en geen spinnenwebben meer, maar de mieren, de gaatjes en vlekken in de lakens, de vuile ramen, ..dat bleef vuil

På det hela taget ett bra och trevligt boende med fantastiskt läge nära strand och marin park samt nära flygplatsen. Rent och fräscht rum. Hjälpsam men lite förvirrad och rörig receptionspersonal. Bra frukost.

Sehr freundliches Personal und schöne Umgebung. Leider ist das Guesthouse etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Mein Zimmer war etwas kühl eingerichtet und ich habe mich nicht richtig wohl gefühlt. Leider hatte es in meinem Zimmer sehr modrig gerochen auch die Handtücher hatten diesen Geruch. Ein Haartrockner wäre ganz gut, da durch die Feuchtigkeit so gut wie nichts trocknet. Die Unterkunft hat super Potenzial, hoffe es wird genutzt ;-) Das Frühstück wurde mit Liebe zubereitet, jedoch empfand ich den Preis hierfür etwas hoch. Die Unterkunft liegt super praktisch direkt am Strand und am Flughafen. Der Preis für die Übernachtung war ganz gut.

Very basic and small rooms, no TV. But the setting was fine. Irritating with planes flying directly overhead starting or landing at the airport: nowhere are you informed about that! Public beach closeby is very good.

Great location, spacious bedrooms with kitchenette, although they could do with refreshing. Nice restaurant. WiFi not available everywhere. Showers were lukewarm unless you use them during the day.

Amazing 4 days
We had room 6 with a bed and large enclosed patio with a clear view directly on to the sea. Couldn't be closer. The ladies looked after reception, cleaning and dinner service very well. The chef's chicken curry really good. Pizzas at the cute Spot cafe in the garden room section of the complex are a must for anyone in the area. The guy who controls watersports ewuipment very helpful. 4 given for condition as the sliding windows and patio entrance door of the seafront room we were in has been weathered, which is understandable. Nothing to put one off being there for that amazing position and at a reasonable price. Absolutely wonderful snorkelling within 5 metres of water directly in front. Bliss.

Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und die Lage der Unterkunft ist super. Der Strand vor dem Guesthouse eignet sich hervorragend zum schnorcheln. Auch das Abendessen im Haus war sehr gut. Beim Frühstück gibt es Verbesserungspotential. Es ist ein Traum, hier auf der Terrasse zu sitzen und aufs Meer zu schauen.

Face à la mer, une route à traverser,pour se baigner ,un masque, un tuba et on est dans un aquarium. Mais il n’y a que ça à faire…si on n’aime pas trop la mer, il vaut mieux éviter. La cuisine du soir est répétitive. Dîner à 19h… Tout est assez vétuste, mais tout fonctionne ! Même la Clim. Lunette des toilettes cassée et recollée.. plaque de cuisson datant des années 60. Le personnel est charmant et aux petits soins. Il y a des oiseaux qui vous mangent dans la main . Si on est pas exigeant sur le confort c’est le paradis.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The place is infested with ticks and cockroaches, with stray cats living in the roof above the kitchen. The first night I was here I woke up in the middle of the night with my eye bleeding because a tick that had attached itself to my eye lid, from the bedding. The room I stayed in had an ant infestation in the bathroom, there was black mould on the shower curtains and there were also giant cockroaches in the room. I asked for another room at checkin but was told this is what I’d paid for! I tried to get help one evening after i found a massive cockroach, but this place closes at 9pm, and despite the website saying there is reception & security there was no one at all available. I phoned and text every number I could find, and rang doorbells, but you are completely on your own here between 9pm and 8am. I also got sick after eating lunch here. The manager and the director are both aggressive, and when I complained he asked me how I should fix his roof, or what other pest control I suggest he use, like this was my problem to fix. I was told as I’d booked a cheap room I got what I paid for!!!! And they wouldn’t refund me because I’d probably still write a bad review, like that’s the reason you should refund someone in this situation. Speaking with some locals after I check out they alI confirmed it’s a super old hotel with many problems, don’t be fooled by the apparent charm of the pictures.

We tried to communicate with you and offer you compensation but you have threaten us many times that if we do not refund your whole stay you will write very negative comments on us and this is what you are doing now. Rest assure that we take feedbacks and comments of our guests very seriously and it is never pleasant to have an unsatisfied guest for us aswell. We are sorry that you coul'nt enjoy your stay. Mauritius is a beautiful place and chantauvent is a very quiet guest house located on Blue Bay one of the best snorkeling spot of the Island. Our guest house exist since 50years and this give it all the charm we are sorry that Chantauvent did not meet your expectations. Val The Manager

Sehr sympathische schöne Unterkunft. Total naturverbunden mit vielen Bäumen, Blumen auf der Terasse und man blickt direkt auf das Meer. Das Personal ist super lieb und zuvorkommend. Wir fühlten uns wie im Mauritius Paradies angekommenen. Ich empfehle ein Zimmer mit Meerblick. Wir waren 10 Tage hier, haben von dort viel unternommenen und genauso waren wir viele Tage einfach in dieser schönen Unterkunft und haben es dort genossen. Ganz klare Empfehlung für diejenigen denen das Ambiente wichtiger ist als ein klassisches Hotel.

Dear, We are sorry to read your negative comment and sad that you could not enjoy Chantauvent. We understand that the weather conditions were not good during your stay and we tried to do everything we could to compensate. We organised games with free pancakes and tea/coffee. We did a torrential rain alert that night and very unpredictable rains. We acted as we could to divert the water or move our guests if water was coming in the rooms. This was a very abnormal situation. And usually we have sun and all is good. We always receive very good comments on our staff and I can assure you that we have regular training and meetings. They are very friendly and we try to make an atmosphere of guest house. We are always very happy to provide explanations of what to do around or respond to the clients inquiries. We will be happy to host you soon. Best regards

I loved it here. 😍😍 Friendly staff.. The view was Spectacular 👌👌👌Food..excellent 👌I was hooked on the fish 😍.. Over all it was Excellent.. 👌👌💯 WiFi.. Close to to beach.. Restaurant etc. Thank you for making us feel welcome. Ps even the dogs made us feel welcomed 😅♥️

De passage une journée entière et une nuit avant de reprendre l'avion car à 15min en voiture de l'aéroport. Arrangeant car vol de bonne heure et plateau de petit déjeuner prévu Très bon accueil, cadre paradisiaque Il faut savoir que les chambres côté jardin sont de l'autre côté de la rue mais cela ne pose pas de soucis. Seule déception dans l'annonce c'était mis navette aéroport gratuite mais à l'arrivée nous avons payé le taxi !!
