Perfect Place To Stay for our Spring Break Gettaway!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cabin. The pictures do not do it justice. It is a gorgeous property with privacy and lots of things for kids to do. The downstairs area was perfect for our kids to play and watch movies. They loved the fooseball table, assortment of games, and arcade game. The adults enjoyed the fire pit area and we sat around it every night. The beds were super comfortable. We had 5 boys ages 4-8 and they loved the bunk room. We also enjoyed the hot tub and explored the woods. We hope to return one day when the weather is warmer and enjoy some water activities. During our trip, we visited the Bear Claw Winery and the Toccoa Swinging Bridge. Matt was a great host and the cabin was very clean.

Fabulous Spacious Getaway Spot
We had a group of 14, adults and children and had a wonderful time relaxing by the firepit, in the hot tub, playing with the kids in the basement, and using the well-stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds and bedrooms. Close to the lake and Aska National hiking trails and we love downtown Blue Ridge, shops and restaurants. Will return!

Wonderful house, responsive owner
This is a great house for a group of families looking to get away. The basement with the bunk room, TV set up and foosball allowed our teens to have fun time away from the adults upstairs. The kitchen was very well equipped and the owner responded immediately when we had a question about getting the temperature up on the lower level. The master bedroom is gorgeous. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Communication
Very pleased with this property and the owner. The cabin could use a deep clean, but I understand many people are busy with the holidays and that may not be feasible. Other than that, very welcoming, child friendly cabin & thanks to Matt for answering all of my messages!

Beautiful home away from home.
it felt very warm and cozy from the moment she entered the house. We did not have neighbors right on top of us which is exactly what we wanted. If you have a large group going with you like we did you don’t feel like you’re right on top of everybody, there was plenty of room for everyone. We would certainly rent this property again.

We had great time! The property is closed to town and food stores. If I could change anything it would be the kitchen needs new pans and the master bedroom has nowhere to put your clothes.

Just what we needed
Being in a neighborhood was a different experience then we ever had, but turned out to be a great idea. Having access to the lake and kayaks brought the teens endless hours of fun. Between hiking, foosball touraments, smores by the fireplace and relaxing in the hot tub, this place has it all.

Amazing
The house is beautiful and has all the amenities and space we needed for all four families and young children. Bedrooms are spacious, house was very clean, kitchen has everything you need to cook, everything in the listing was in working condition, the outside fireplace is awesome. We went kayaking, hiking, tubing, winery/brewery, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will come back!

Spacious property
We had a large group with teenagers. This place gave everyone adequate room. The basement was nice bc the kids spent most of their time down there. The bunk room was great for the boys. The kids enjoyed the hot tub as well as the kayaks. It should be noted that the lake entrance is too far to walk with the kayaks. We had to load them up in my suv and drive them down. We saw lots of deer in the yard but no bears. The drive to town was easy. I'd stay here again.

Great for a family vacation
Wonderful home for a large family gathering. The house was very spacious and everyone had their own space. The outdoor space was great for the kids to run around and have outdoor fires. The owner was great to work with. We had a slight issue with the hot tub and they were very quick to get it solved. I would definitely recommend the house and Blue Ridge in general.

Thanksgiving 2021
My family, (12), spent the week rocking on the porch in afternoon after having gone into Blue Ridge to enjoy the activities and restaurants. Morning peaceful walks in the beautiful neighborhood with the view of Lake Blue Ridge or just watching Movies j. The living room with a fire going we’re just done if the things we did during our stay. Having bought corn at the Co-Op in town Ed fed the deer and watched them come to the tree stumps and eat not mornings snd nights. Wonderful family memories were made at your home.

The cabin is nice and big, good location and easy access but it needs more TLC and cleaning. Area rugs were dirty, blinds and lamps were dusty, shower curtains had mold in the lower half. The mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced.

As a vacation rental, we do our best to keep it clean, refreshed, and updated. As our 10 years of reviews show, we are successful with that, but not perfect. We've taken a look at some of the cleaning practices and ensured that we've tidied up. While mattresses vary by a person's taste and comfort preferences, they have been recently updated, and are protected and unsoiled.

Great place for a family vacation
Lovely cabin! Our family of 5 had a great time, kids had so much fun! 4 more family members joined us half way through the week and there was plenty of room for everyone! Close to everything, shopping, dining, grocery store, boating, rafting, hiking. Home owner responded very quickly to a question we had about the hot tub.

Comfortable and Relaxing
We (3 couples) had a very peaceful time after a big family wedding. The location is great as it is just a 16 minute drive to Main Street in Blue Ridge, but you can have peace and quiet at the cabin. I appreciated that Matt was always very prompt with his communication and replies.

I don't recommend older people to use the downstairs indoor steps they are very steep. I used the outside steps, which are much wider and fewer of them. The hot tub says no seniors, but I got in and out just fine. 8 year old threatened to call the cops so I only went once. Everyone else thorougly enjoyed it. The kitchen is spacious and equiped with plenty of silverware, pots, pans etc. We had one problem that occurred right before we left. Mattt assured us he would have someone in to deal with it after we checked out. I'm assuming this is no longer an issue.

Yes, the stairs are a little treacherous. Both those to the lowest level, as well as to the master level. The matriarch of Hid 'n' Timber is in her mid-80's and I caution and help her with the stairs as well.

The cabin was perfect for a multiple family stay.
This was perfect for a multiple family vacation. We did not go out to eat at all. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and dinnerware for a lot of people. It was close enough to downtown, apple orchards, and hiking. The property manager was quick to answer any questions that I had. My only complaint was the access to the water with the kayaks. We didn’t use them because it was to difficult to get to the water. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Sibling Reunion
We had an amazing time at Hid n Timber. There was plenty of room to spread out, the kids loved playing tether ball and fooseball together. The owners give you all the info you need to have a fun and sucessful trip. The view was great and we even got to see snow!

Blue Ridge Mountains Getaway
Nice place to get away to for reconnecting with family in a very relaxing atmosphere. Plenty to do on site and close enough to town for those who like to shop. The fire pit area was a nice place to just chill and chat while enjoying a nice wood fire. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking at the cabin of which we did a lot of. The outside deck went completely around the cabin which made it very easy for gramma to take her daily walks for exercise. The entire family had a very pleasant and relaxing time at Hid 'n' Timber.

Highly recomended! We had plenty of outdoor activities close by. Don’t skip tubing ;) it was an amazing experience with an amazing scenery, we’ve actually been twice during our stay :) Downtown is just a short drive away from the cabin. We had a blast! We were in love with the fire pit, spent most of our nights outside. Also, Matt was an excellent host.

Woodsy retreat- Epic fun!
We really enjoyed our week at this cabin. We had 7 kids/teens and 4 adults. Sleeping spaces were plentiful. Everyone was able to enjoy the different activities: video games, hammocks (we brought), board games, deck for visiting and meals, tetherball, full kitchen. Very scenic drive to get to the cabin, NECOWA rocks! We also enjoyed the kayaks and water time, but it wasn't clear where to put in the kayaks/tubes. Would have liked newer/less springy beds for adults and more space for eating inside, but these are definitely after thoughts. This was a really fun location and trip. It was close to a ton of outdoor adventures. Thank you! We all agree we loved it!

Great home for connecting with family
The house was plenty large enough for our family to enjoy visiting with each other. It was very well equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of linens, and a nice hot tub for relaxing evenings. We had plenty of outdoor activities nearby with rafting, tubing, hiking, and horse back riding. Never a dull moment! It was nice to have a place where we could cook and stay away from large crowds! Would definitely stay again!

Family Fun Mountains
We really enjoyed our stay at Hid-N-Timber. We had four adults and six kids and there was room for all. The cabin is clean and updated. Wonderful kitchen for cooking meals. Great common spaces. Fabulous outdoor fire pit to relax at night. We experienced two full days of rain during our trip but the kids enjoyed playing games, building puzzles and having a foosball tournament. Matt was absolutely wonderful to communicate with throughout the rental process. I would highly recommend this property to families looking for a getaway in Northern GA.

Perfect Friendsgiving Weekend
Three families (13 people) gathered here for the long Thanksgiving weekend and it was simply perfect. The cabin is spacious, clean, well-furnished. We had no difficulty preparing our feast in the well-stocked kitchen. We dined comfortably inside and out, on the wide porch. The 7 kids happily reigned over the basement. Thoughtful touches everywhere - we made use of the extra folding table and chairs, cornhole, kayaks/life jackets, extra towels and blankets. The outdoor space is idyllic - set on a hill, view of the lake, amazing fire pit under the stars. The owner, Matt, was extremely available and helpful both before and during our stay. Would rent again, in a heartbeat, and highly recommend for your family or large group.

Blue Ridge Paradise
We have stayed a few times in Blue Ridge and the surrounding area over the last few years. This year we brought the whole family - nine people total. It was an awesome family vacation. This cabin was everything we had hoped for. The kids loved the downstairs area for entertainment. The entry level bedrooms were perfect for grandma. It was very clean. It had everything we needed for cooking after a day exploring. We utilized the awesome fire pit every night for family gatherings. We would definitely rent this cabin again.

Highly Recommend
This was the perfect place for 9 adults in my family to gather for a long weekend. The fire pit in the evening and large covered wrap around porch provided a great place to sit and enjoy being outdoors. Inside, the living room and bedrooms were comfortable and beautiful decorated and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The cabin is nestled away in a beautiful forest yet the drive into Blue Ridge was only minutes away. One minor issue was the lack of good lighting in the living and dining area, even in the day time. Not a big deal at all but something to improve upon. Overall it was a great place and I hope to have the opportunity to return for another stay.

Beautiful cabin in the woods with wrap around porch in treetops & gorgeous fire pit patio lower leve
Beautiful log cabin on a semi private lot in a very nice neighborhood. Great for a couple or multiple guest with roomy bedrooms and bathrooms on each of the three levels. Master is large and has a private balcony with a view of the woods. Main level has one of the nices fireplaces we have seen with unique stone work and "The Great Wall of Fire" rack. Spent a lot of time on the wrap around porch, reading and dining in the tops with the birds, doing puzzles and playing corn hole. Lower level was great for football games and movies, foosball tournaments and the room is so large we even had a dance night. With this being our first family vacation in the woods, some of the best memories were made around the firepit talking, playing games, roasting marshmallows for smores and Deer watching. Matt is a great host and very accommodating. Our family had such a great time we were already talking about doing it again. Nicely decorated, fully stocked kitchen, large variety of games and movies and good library of books for both young and old.

It could not have been more perfect
This cabin is perfect. It looks exactly like the pictures. The downstairs area with the bunk rooms and games could not have been any better for the kids. All of us get going on and on about what a great cabin it was. I highly recommend this property.

Great family vacation
The cabin helped us have one of the best family vacations we have ever had. The wrap around porch on the main level was perfect for our dogs and we played cards and board games on the porch until we couldn't see at night. Our young adult children loved the bedrooms on the lower level. No windows meant sleeping late. The fire pit was a great gathering spot for evenings and some of the ladies used it to get some sun one afternoon. We used the kayaks one day and enjoyed the lake which is beautiful. Blue Ridge is a great town and we will vacation there again.
