Cottage in mooie Noord-cornwall dorp dicht bij Port Isaac, Padstow, Rock

Tynedale, slaapt zeven mensen in vier slaapkamers en is centraal gelegen in het vriendelijke Noord-Cornwall dorp St Teath. Het is de perfecte uitvalsbasis voor een buiten- of gezinsvakantie. Tien minuten van de glorieuze Noord-kust van Cornwall om te wandelen en de zee. Het ligt dicht bij de charmante badplaatsen Port Isaac (bekend van Doc Martin), Rock, de geneugten van de fijnproevers van Padstow, Polzeathand Widemouth Bay om te surfen, het ruige landschap van Arthur Tintagel, het South West Coast Path, het Poldark-land, Rosamund Pilcher-pad en vele andere pittoreske en historische bezienswaardigheden.

Het gebied is rijk aan goede restaurants en vriendelijke pubs, het is binnen handbereik van het Eden Project (45 minuten) en veel van de andere attracties, zowel natuurlijke als door de mens gemaakte die Cornwall te bieden heeft. Het bruisende stadje Wadebridge ligt op twintig minuten afstand, met zijn drie supermarkten en interessante speciaalzaken.

Het huisje heeft twee gezellige woonkamers, elk met televisie en houtkachel. De vier comfortabele slaapkamers en de ruime en goed uitgeruste keuken / eetkamer maken het ook ideaal om gewoon te relaxen. Gratis wi-fi is voorzien, samen met een goede selectie van games en een Wii. De beschutte patio met barbecue en tuinmeubilair biedt een ontspannen ruimte om buiten te eten en te entertainen, en het pand beschikt ook over een charmante onderhoudsarme voortuin.

St. Teath verwelkomt zijn bezoekers met een winkel / postkantoor / off-licentie ("open alle uren"), slager die lokaal geproduceerd vlees verkoopt, een kerk uit de 14e eeuw en een hond- en kindvriendelijke pub met uitstekende en goede maaltijden, allemaal binnen 200 meter van uw voordeur. Het gebied is een paradijs voor kinderen en we verwelkomen maximaal twee goed opgevoede honden.

Lovely stay, perfect for a family

We had a lovely holiday. We loved the house and the log burners. The two reception rooms were great with the wide variety of ages we had. Perfect enclosed courtyard for dogs. Great communication from start to finish from Christine. Good amenities just a few doors down - cafe, pub with food, butchers (although this was closed during our stay). Thank you for a great holiday!

Good sized cottage, very well equipped and conveniently located for local attractions. Local pub close by, and fine for a basic meal and a drink. Comfortable beds, large kitchen, patio dog secure garden.

St Teath with my doggy

Loved my stay with my dog Ralph who loved the beaches. Had a slight issue with connecting to the internet when I arrived but that was sorted and Christine was on the phone to assist as well. The downside is that parking isn't great and I didn't fancy leaving my car in the road outside the house but I always managed to get a space in the square opposite the pub. The pub was only 50 or so metres from the house so no problem with the worry about drinking and driving and the food was very good.

Gemütliches Cottage mit guter Ausstattung und geschmackvoller Einrichtung. Geräumige Küche mit großzügigem Essbereich - gut für eine fünfköpfige Familie geeignet. Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen.

Wonderful holiday stay

Owners were so welcoming and the community in the village were so kind and helpful. We loved the cottage and had some amazing days out at local beaches. Local cafe and pub are amazing. They serve fantastic food and all at very reasonable prices. Everyone was so friendly.

Very cozy house!

The house was super cozy and, apart from the weather, we had a very nice holiday. Above all, the kitchen was very good, except for the blunt knives that just weren't fun to cook with. Unfortunately, the digital equipment (fast internet and Amazon Prime) was far too good... Our children could hardly get out of the house. The house is located in the middle of a little town, which has the disadvantage that you really have to do everything by car. Due to the narrow local streets, this usually took a relatively long time. Shopping in Wadebridge (Tesco) quickly took two hours and more. If you like hiking and aren't afraid to use the car more often, this is a perfect house in a quiet, tourist-free little town. However, apart from a pub, a cafe and a post office, there is no infrastructure for daily needs. To do this you then have to drive to Wadebridge (approx. 15 minutes). Apart from a very small courtyard, there is no garden, which didn't bother us much given the bad weather. Overall, a very individual, beautiful house in which we felt comfortable.

Nice quaint cottage, fully equipt kitchen, comfortable lounges. Ideal for 5 adults and two dogs. Quiet location with an excellent pub, serving lovely value for food and a good pint. Overall well worth the 8 hr journey down and 10hr return to Essex.

A week in Cornwall

Nice property well suited for our needs, lots of space to spread out. Did short trips from the property which were great, Bodmin, Port Isaac, Padstow etc. Two small items, need a few more kitchen towels, and new pillows they were awful. Parking in front of the house you take your life in your hands but always found a place around the clock tower 2 minutes walk away. All in all a very enjoyable stay, thanks.

Enjoyed everything about the house & its surroundings & highly recommend eating at the White Hart Pub next door. The only thing about the property that I would change are the bed mattress they where without a shadow of doubt the most uncomfortable things to sleep on but I understand that to others they may be perfect but in these days of memory foam this is the way too go to replace old spring mattress.

Great Stay

The property was easily large enough for three adults and 3 children. A great location for lots of north Cornwall attractions and beaches. The pub is 50m away and has a good playground and serves good food. My only real criticisms of the property were the kitchen was missing a couple of family sized dishes and the house was in need of a little tlc. However these were minor criticisms.

Fabulous

The photos certainly don’t do this place justice. The cottage was charming and more than adequate for 6 adults. The biscuits and flowers left on the table were a lovely touch after a long journey. We will definitely be back again. The village is quaint and very peaceful and we were fortunate enough to be visiting in Carnival week too. After holidaying in Cornwall for over 50 years I can truly say this is one of the nicest places we have stayed in, such a cosy, homely feel. Well worth a visit!!

Great cottage in the heard of a lovely village

We had a wonderful stay, the cottage was lovely and very spacious. Very well equipped especially the kitchen. Quite creaky but otherwise very peaceful and St Teath is a lovely village.

Reunited with family and friends

We were altogether 7 adults but although Tynedale doesn't have big rooms we didn't feel cramped and all loved the large kitchen table. Near many beautiful spots and walking distance of a nice traditional pub.

Clean, quaint, quiet cottage

The cottage was beautiful, the inside was very quaint and cosy! Very large inside, so plenty of space for our whole family. Only downside was the shower head in the main bathroom is slightly broken, it won’t hold itself up. But overall the stay was perfect!

Comfy and good size
