The apartment is considered Architectural Heritage of the city, the inside amenities are spectacular!

Get ready to stay in a truly unique and charming place! This historic gem features an original fireplace with over 400 years of history (estimated). The bathroom sink has been beautifully restored using a base from a 1950s sewing machine topped with exquisite Guayacan wood. You'll also find a collection of antique weights in the kitchen and ceilings that soar up to 3 meters, offering ample natural light and a sense of spaciousness.

The building itself has a rich history as it was once part of the famed "Alacran Theater," preserving its original architectural charm. What's more, the surroundings are incredibly safe! Located just a block away, the "Externado University" provides security guards with dogs who patrol the area, ensuring a safe environment for students and visitors alike. Additionally, the national police station at "Chorro de Quevedo," half a block away, ensures a secure experience for tourists exploring the historic center.

The best part? Everything is within walking distance, allowing you to enjoy the area's vibrant activities and cultural shows without needing a taxi. This is an experience where history meets modern comfort, promising a memorable stay in the heart of the city.

While the area is generally safe, we recommend avoiding walking after 9 pm and always keeping a close eye on your personal belongings such as cameras, cell phones, laptops, tablets, and wallets. It's advisable not to display valuable items like rings or necklaces. If you're driving, keep your windows up as a precaution, especially around homeless individuals who may approach.

For currency exchange, it's safer to do so at the airport or designated exchange houses in shopping centers rather than on the street. Although the tap water is potable and of high quality (with no lime, residues, and neutral Ph), we recommend drinking bottled water for your peace of mind.

Public transportation via Transmilenio is conveniently located just 5 minutes away at stations like 'las Aguas' and 'universidades'. While Uber is not officially regulated in the city, it's widely regarded as the safest option for transport. If you opt for a taxi, we suggest avoiding hailing one on the street.
