'Great cabin close to several areas. We spent time in Boone, Damascus VA, and Bristol TN. This was a perfect home base for 3 days. Enjoyed mornings and evenings on the porch. Everything in the cabin is as described. Joseph was a thoughtful host, keeping in touch the whole time. '

'This cabin worked out perfectly for our visit! Close to both Boone and Blowing Rock. Only minutes from a truly beautiful section of the Blue Ridge Parkway! Neat and clean. Everything we needed. Great communication, and the host graciously offered us both an early check-in and late check-out! Would definitely stay here again'

'We had a wonderful time at Elk Knob Nook cabin. Nicely located on a hilltop overlooking pastures with horses and cows, along with amazing views into the mountains and valleys nearby. Very quiet surroundings, with little to no sounds of civilization. Sunrises and sunsets from the porch were a nice way to start and end each day. While this is a "tiny home" we never felt cramped. "One night stay here after staying at their sister hotel in Raleigh. The property itself is fine but no atmosphere compared to Raleigh. Easy parking, clean and comfortable room. Not much to do within walking distance, except a burger takeaway. We tried to walk to a nearby microbrewery. It should've been a 5 minute walk, but we found it impossible to cross the 6-lane highway in front of the motel so gave up and went back to our room. Maybe, as Europeans, we're not used to the American way of driving everywhere, but to visit a brewery, walking would seem a safer option. Pleasant enough motel but not sure we'd return."
