We highly recommend guests carefully review photos and descriptions of rooms before reserving anywhere in the world so that they are satisfied as possible with their lodging.We apologize about the TV remote. You notified the staff of this issue on the morning of your departure as you stated that it was the first time you had tried to turn on the TV. As we weren’t made aware of the problem previously, we were not able to rectify the situation and provide the remote. Usually remotes are already in rooms and this was an unusual situation. It may have been removed to change the batteries and then never placed back in the room. Unfortunately, something like this is possible. We apologize for the oversight and we certainly would have fixed it had we had the opportunity.Strangely, you requested to stay an extra night on the evening before your check out. Our staff could not confirm availability with you at that time and you reserved elsewhere. It is unusual for someone to be so displeased with one of our rooms but then want to extend their stay. Hello. Thank you for your review. We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay. Because of our location, we do get noise from local businesses. This is a part of offering a convenient location. We do provide fans in the rooms that can be directed to your sleeping area if you do not want to open the balcony doors. Few places offer air conditioning in Boquete as it is generally not necessary and we do not advertise on any booking platform that we provide air conditioning. We apologize for the noise from other guests. Unfortunately, not everyone follows the rules. When you alerted us of the problem, I offered to speak to the guests and try to prevent further issues. However, you dismissed my offer and told me not to bother. Regarding check-in, we will speak to our staff about check in as they are supposed to explain all the pertinent information on the board to guests when they arrive, as well as show them the building. Our staff primarily speak Spanish but important information is written in English as well. Generally, we, the owners, are available in the evening and often throughout the day if any guest needs assistance in English. We also send a message in Spanish and English upon receiving any booking with information about our place and our policies. Regarding the city treated water, it is not "bad" water. It is the same water that the entire town receives. If guests are concerned about drinking locally treated water, there is the option to boil water or buy bottled. As for toilet paper, this is a rule explained in our email to guests. Most septic systems cannot handle toilet paper and this is not uncommon in Panama. We do not offer disposable shampoo, etc. as we strive to be more eco-friendly. Also, we have found that most guests bring their own toiletries. We do have several hair dryers that can be requested. I do not believe we received such a request from you. For these reasons and more, we send a very detailed email with all of our policies to each guest upon booking. This way a guest can be informed on all of these topics and choose to cancel if our lodge is not a good fit for them. We are one of the most economical places in town for what our guests receive. We are clean, new, and friendly. If a guest wants a lodge that offers more bells and whistles, we surely understand that and hope that they choose an appropriate lodging option for a higher price point. There are many beautiful lodges in Boquete. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your travels throughout Panama and found more appropriate lodging for your needs. Saludos desde Boquete!

Hello. And thank you for staying with us. We're glad you enjoyed your stay but sorry you did not receive stellar service. We will speak to our staff about welcoming guests. Please note that many guests arrive without bags as they park and leave their luggage in the car until they have checked in and have their key. So this is not out of the ordinary or a sign of poor customer service if that staff member had not checked you in. Also, tap water is drinkable but many foreigners choose to filter water or boil it. Out of an abundance of caution, we usually let guests know this but it is not necessary as all locals drink tap water. Saludos desde Boquete!
