As you can see by my other reviews, I go the extra distance to maintain and improve the house and provide a positive experience for my guests. I respond immediately to guests' concerns and do my best to rectify issues ASAP, typically within an hour. 1. This guest wrote that there were “light fixtures in need of new bulbs.” I was in a store when she called about a few lights not working, and I was in line buying bulbs when she messaged, “Found the fuse box. All good. Hopefully smooth sailing going forward.” It resolved the issue and the fuse hasn’t tripped since. Full disclosure: One bulb was out in a bathroom (3 other bulbs in that bathroom worked) and I replaced the bulb when I discovered it after she left. 2. Each air conditioner (AC) is less than 4 years old (one is a year old), rated #1 on Consumer Reports, slightly oversized for each room, and very adequate and quiet. It was the hottest weekend of the summer. The guest called and asked for fans. I guided her on how to put each AC on high, which fixed the problem. I’ll GLADLY buy a new AC or issue a refund if an AC doesn’t perform properly. 3. I visited the house the day she left, noticed the toilet paper holder off the wall, and fixed it immediately. 4. The blinds were updated in the spring and the adjustment poles fell out on two. They’ve been repaired. 5. I found an odd night light that didn’t work, which a guest had brought. There is now a new night light in each bedroom and one in the bathroom near the bedrooms. A lamp in the foyer shines up the stairs and provides light throughout the house at night. 6. Guests sometimes cause damages and I therefore provide standard rental wording about related charges, but I’ve NEVER charged a guest (even though I should have in some instances). I wasn't being dismissive when she expressed her concern, but as she wrote, my "response was friendly” when I told her not to worry as I wouldn’t charge her.
