Gezellig familiehuis
Compleet appartement op de 1e verdieping. Eigen opgang, waar ook een invalide(zit)lift aanwezig is. Gebruik van terras. Gezellig ingericht, compleet. Alles is aanwezig, ook in de keuken. Het huis was schoon en netjes. Het was fijn "thuiskomen" na een dag in de stad. Wij verbleven hier met twee gezinnen, 8 personen. Gezellig restaurant op de hoek, 7-eleven aan de overkant. Verbinding met downtown Boston is goed. Metro op minder dan 10 minuten lopen, bus stopt voor de deur. Nette buurt, veilig gevoel, ook 's avonds. Badkamers zijn klein, maar voldoen. Eén badkamer heeft een douche in het bad. Nadeel is het douchegordijn dat aan je lijf blijft plakken... Parkeren kan voor de deur (op straat), maar er gelden op bepaalde tijden parkeerverboden. De borden die er staan zijn niet heel erg duidelijk. Maar verbod geldt dan alleen voor één kant van de straat, dus auto verplaatsen is eenvoudige oplossing. Eigenaresse is vriendelijke dame die ons gastvrij ontving en van alles vertelde. Als we weer in Boston zijn, zullen we hier zeker weer willen overnachten!

Great Stay
We love old houses, so things that would bother some were charming to us. There were plenty of beds for everyone, most of them were very comfortable. We were thankful to have coffee stocked and ready for us. Our only complaint was how hot it was in the house.. 75* for sleeping was not fun. There were no instructions on the heat and A/C unit, so we opened the windows to cool it down, but the outside noise was very loud to try to sleep.

My family of five stayed here on a trip to Boston. The neighborhood is great and although we had a car, we didn’t need it to explore the city. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Nice Location in Boston
We enjoyed our stay here. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Parking was on the street, but it was free and easy to find spots nearby. My kids were delighted when they discovered a bin of toys in the sunroom!

Spacious Apt and great location
My family and my cousins family stayed here for a few days while visiting Boston. The apartment was roomy enough for all 8 of us. Location is perfect, 12 minute walk to the T, easy to find for Uber and there are several stores and restaurants within walking distance. We really enjoyed the Jamaica Plains area. Only consideration is that it is an upstairs apartment so your noise levels need to really monitored in the evening. Thank you for letting us stay during our visit.

Lovely old Victorian apartment.
Mrs. Booth was very helpful and did everything she could to make us feel at home. The area the apartment is in was so different from our own there were young families with children everywhere. The neighborhood has whites, blacks, and Hispanics. Everyone we meet were polite and if we had a question about a place to eat or place to park toke time to answer our questions. There are numerous places to eat near apartment from Topas to Scottish to neighborhood dinner. WE loved the liveliness. It was fun!

Excellent Architecture Roomy 2nd Floor Jamaica Plain
We loved our stay in Lita’s truly lovely and roomy apartment. We were a family of five with a friend and her adult daughter. The layout of rooms with three common spaces — kitchen, separate living room with adjoining Sunny reading nook were great for spreading out. The kitchen had all the implements we needed for the simple breakfasts we made. The beds were extremely comfortable. Lita has placed fans in each room. We had great weather and enjoyed being able to open our windows for the breezes. The street noise was a murmur; the neighbors were quiet. The stairs to the apartment are steep and made a bit narrow by a chair elevator. But we managed. The apartment has many beautiful original architectural elements which make it a delight to be in. The apartment has great access to Jamaica Plain Pond and the Olmstead Park for walking, running and biking. We found Whole Foods and terrific neighborhood eateries just 1-2 blocks in the other direction. On street parking was easy to find. I’d love to have an excuse to stay here again! Thank you so much, Lita, for sharing this space with us!

Good place for larger group
The place was excellent for our family. The size was just right as we had 4 adults and two teenagers. Parking was very easy; many spaces were available right in front of the house on the street. The kitchen table proved to be a great place to congregate to catch up in the mornings and plan for the next day at night.

A Fall Weekend in Boston
What a perfect spot to gather with my five college friends. The house had plenty of space for us to feel very comfortable. We loved having our morning coffee in the little front sunroom. And the kitchen was a comfortable space for eating and playing games. The neighborhood was great with a variety of restaurants and the arboretum within walking distance. The host thoughtfully provided coffee and basics and the Whole Foods was a short walk away. This house fit our needs perfectly.

Conveniently located, vintage feel, lots of character.
Conveniently located near beautiful Jamaica Pond that has great trees, fields and a walking trail. Across the street from a 7-11, next to a restaurant, near other eateries and shops and easy access to downtown Boston. Creaky floors, one clawfoot tub with shower fixture, typical for an old house. One bedroom is actually the former dining room with a small, but adequate en-suite bath and drawers and armoire for clothes. Very clean. Furniture is on the older side, but it adds to the charm. We had a lovely time staying there. No issues at all.

Convenient location to subway to go to downtown.
Free parking on street could be a challenge…or if get home late. Noise from busy intersection could be problem if you’re a light sleeper. Bring own soaps, shampoos. Second bathtub has high wall and small so could be hard for older people or small kids. Mattresses are firm and plenty of towels. Short walk to subway to go to downtown.

Owner very pleasant and responsive. Apt. nicely furnished. Convenient for Head of the Charles regatta weekend w one rower, Mom n Dad, and two coaches. Whole Foods one short block away plus full kitchen made for easy meal prep in apt. but also noticed plenty of restaurants in neighborhood.

Great Location
We had a great stay at this property with our elderly parents. The chair lift for the stairs was a life saver for my mom and her bad knees. The location was perfect and just a short Uber ride to downtown and Fenway. There were also many restaurants and a Whole Foods within walking distance to the property. The owner was very reachable throughout our stay as well.

Wonderful property and location
The house was perfect! My daughter got married nearby and I’m so glad I chose to stay here for several nights with family members. It was spacious and beautifully decorated, with plenty of room for 6 people, plus additional family who stopped by throughout our stay. My 4 coworkers and I stayed here for 4 days recently for a conference and let me tell you...the area is quiet, the residence is clean with all of the amenities and THEN some such as seasonings for any food we may have wanted to cook plus a healthy snack basket was present with little pick me ups in it! The old victorian feel is just what we were all hoping for it to be as well in that it was a different vibe and feeling after a long day at the conference. A 7/11 is directly across the road which makes quick purchases a breeze. I would definitely stay here again and anyone I come across going to Boston I will strongly recommend staying here.

Lita's house was perfect for our group of 7 including 5 adults and 2 small children. The location was very convenient to the Orange Line for a fun trip into Boston. We chose it because it had 4 bedrooms (2 with a queen bed, 2 with 2 twins each) and was close to family in Brookline. It would work for any family visiting Boston. Very clean, kitchen was fully outfitted (although you could use some bigger mugs), easy to find street parking, less than 1/2 mile to Stoney Point T stop. We found a lovely shady playground near the T on Boylston with a splash pad for the kids.
