'We visited Liverpool on one of the most expensive weeks of the year (due to Liverpool FC's parade and the May Bank Holiday music festivals), so chose to stay in Stockport, a few miles up the coast from Liverpool, where accommodation is far better value for money, and it's quieter.
If you don't want to drive into Liverpool city centre, there's a very regular railway service (every 15 minutes) between the two towns, and parking at Stockport station is only £3.95 for 24 hours when using the NCP...

Everyone at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, the garden terrace with the room looked magical lit up at night. The location is great just minutes walk away from everything, I would very highly recommend this hotel and the price was cheap compared to other places. '
