'Spruce Lake Farm' 56 hectare groot landgoed op een privé-meer van 7 acre in Catskills.

Deze ruime, elegante openhaard aan het meer ligt weggestopt op een afgelegen bergrug van 56 hectare, omringd door honderden hectaren bos en glooiende heuvels in handen van de overheid. Het huis kijkt uit op een prachtig, privé 7-acre meer waar u kunt zwemmen, boot en vissen. Nadat je je diner hebt gegrild op het extra grote dek, ga je schommelen in de hangmat en ontspan je vervolgens in een Adirondack-stoel en zie je hoe de sterren in totale stilte uitkomen. Spruce Lake Farm ligt halverwege tussen Woodstock en Cooperstown, op 5 minuten van het schilderachtige Bovina Center, op 10 minuten van een 18-holes golfbaan en 15-20 minuten van supermarkten, antiekwinkels, uitstekende restaurants en boetiekjes in Andes en Delhi. Kinderen zullen genieten van de boomhut, speeltoestel en strand, evenals de twee roeiboten, twee paddleplanken en talrijke bospaden. Draadloos internet (DSL) en satelliet-tv zijn gratis.
Hoofdniveau: Het hoofdniveau van dit huis met vijf slaapkamers en vier badkamers heeft een prachtige open plattegrond en biedt de perfecte ruimte om te genieten van maaltijden, te amuseren en te ontspannen bij de grote stenen open haard. De plafonds zijn hier 35 voet hoog met rustieke balken en uitzicht op het meer, en overhead is een ruime loft die dient als een bibliotheek, kantoor en leeshoek. Ook op het hoogste niveau zijn de keuken en eetkamer, een log-ommuurde slaapkamer met aangrenzende badkamer, een tv-kamer met HDTV en DirecTV satelliet-service, en een luchtige veranda en een bibliotheek als je het huis binnenkomt.
Boven- en benedenniveau: het bovenste niveau van het huis heeft drie slaapkamers, waarvan een met een vide voor extra slaapruimte en twee badkamers. Het lagere niveau beschikt over een enorme slaapkamer met een eigen complete badkamer en komt uit op een prachtige stenen patio met uitzicht op een bloementuin. Het lagere niveau omvat ook een ontspanningsruimte met tafeltennistafel en tafelvoetbaltafel, en een wasruimte met twee sets zeer efficiënte wasmachines en drogers.
Speelruimte: de speelruimte heeft een boomhut, glijbaan, schommel, tandemschommel, trapeze en bankschommel.

This place is exactly as advertized and definitely worth coming back to. The large rustic style house is perfect for a large family vacation or an extended social gathering with plenty of room and everything you need. The property itself is gorgeous! What a find! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week at Spruce Lake. It was beyond amazing- private property and lake with crystal clear water, meant kayaking and paddle boarding, and fishing, too. We grilled most every dinner and celebrated a family member’s birthday! Ping Pong and foosball were enjoyed by many! Each night was capped off by a roaring fire in the fire pit. Took advantage of location to go hiking and birdwatching. Being away from city lights allowed us to see the Milky Way and marvel at the wonders of our universe. Sad to pack up and leave. Can’t wait to return. Thank you, Adam.

Truly One of a Kind!

Spruce Luke Farm has become our annual family reunion spot! The house is big with space for everyone. It is perfectly situated on a beautiful private piece of land with a big deck right beside the lake with beautiful views. Wonderful place to get away and reconnect with family! Adam has been great to deal with and Heinz, the home caretaker, is also very helpful.

We have been family vacationing for 15 years and this was the best well kept property, inside and out, that we have stayed at. Everything in the house was organized and well stocked. This is a gem! Beautiful serene surroundings with a gorgeous home ! The rooms were exactly as described, the kitchen has everything you need, we were greeted by the lovely groundskeeper (Heinz) upon arrival who shared some quaint details about the property! Great elopement stay!

The stay was wonderful. The house was great to accomodate our group of 10 adults and 2 kids. The property is gorgeous and the living spaces were perfect for fires and playing games. We had a few hiccups, including the heat not working in the basement master bedroom. Additionally, we were unable to contact the property manager, despite attempting calls and texts to the three listed numbers.

Best Winter Getaway!

This was absolutely one of the best experiences I've ever had with a rental property. Adam was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He mades things seamless and easy. I wanted to take my family away for a quick winter getaway and finally pulled the trigger on this beautiful property! It was like a winter wonderland. A perfect getaway

This was our second time renting Spruce Lake Farm, the first time with an infant. The house is so spacious and welcoming...plenty of bedrooms, and other rooms so everyone had lots of space, especially our grandson who was proudly able to crawl the length of the house! We had a great time exploring the area and supporting local farms, which allowed us to prepare some wonderful meals. The Kitchen had everything we needed. We had 2 fires in the beautiful living room fireplace; last time we also used the lakeside firepit, but the baby changed some of our plans! It was a wonderful time and perfect place for us to be with our kids and grandchild. We will be back!

Beautiful Get-a-way

We loved staying here. It was an absolute winter wonderland, and our group is yearning to book sometime in the summer so we can experience both seasons at this luxurious farmhouse. Adam was quick to reply, and answered all my questions. The property itself was huge, the house clean, full of art and books, plenty of space for children and couples to spread out, beds were comfortable. The sixth bedroom is adorable, but not as spacious as the others so I would only plan on putting children or a single small adult in there. The toddlers we had in our crew loved playing in it. The big lux living room was our favorite room to be in, but as no tv so we brought a projector and screen and it worked out nicely. Would stay again 100%.

Fantastic Family Getaway

This property in the Catskills is the perfect family mountain vacation. The house itself is spacious with lots of sleeping rooms. The furniture and artwork were amazing. The kitchen was equipped with just about everything needed. The large family room overlooks the lake providing beautiful views. We spent most of our time at the property: canoeing, paddle boarding, sunning on the dock, swimming and fishing, ping pong, puzzles & games. We did day trips to Cooperstown & Woodstock (each about an hour away). Don't miss the farmers market and little town of Delhi. Pub in Delhi was a great place for the one night we went out to eat. Young adults went ziplining at Hunter mountain. We all loved this property and hope to return some day.

Amazing!!!

The property is absolutely perfect for a NY state get away. The house itself is Beautifully amd well designed, to entertain guests at an upscale level. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep. As well as plenty of room to hang out, for instance the friday night we were there it poured but we had no problem because we sat in the beautiful grand living room and watched a divine thunderstorm light up the sky and forest, epic! The giant yard with lush grass lawn leading down to the lake is perfect to play games and enjoy with the family (football, baseball, cornhole, etc). And finally the 6acre pond is a absolutely perfect place to teach a kid to fish or swim and enjoy. Not to mention hiking around the propety itself is a great experience too! Adam the owner was very nice and very easy to get in touch with! I will definitely be looking to rent this property again!

House needs attention

This property has a lot of great reviews but we were disappointed with our stay. The house needed a good scrubbing as many floors and surfaces were sticky. It was also very hot on the main floor without enough screens in the doors and windows and a few doors taped shut for some reason. The house has terrible air flow and no AC. There were also a few maintenance issues such as a broken back door which needed to be replaced and many large potholes in the driveway. We brought up some other issues with the owner and he was responsive and helpful .The place has a lot of potential but overall it needs some work to be a 10 out of 10.

A Perfect Getaway at Spruce Lake Farm

Our stay at Spruce Lake Farm was amazing. Nestled in the heart of nature, this 56-acre mountain-top log estate offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The private 7-acre lake is a stunning centerpiece, providing breathtaking views and a peaceful ambiance. The home itself is well maintained and well-appointed with everything you may need during your stay. The spacious great room with its soaring ceilings and panoramic windows was the perfect place to sit down and relax after a long day. The artwork at the location provides a source for endless conversations. The grounds are impressive, with plenty of space for outdoor activities. We enjoyed hiking, and even a bit of swimming in the lake. The setting is idyllic, with lush greenery and the occasional sighting of local wildlife. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals for our group. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the home, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, Spruce Lake Farm is a fantastic place to unwind, get away from the grind of daily life and reconnect with nature.

Beautiful property

The house is very large and with our party of 8 adults, we never once felt crowded. The view from the windows facing the lake is gorgeous and relaxing. We all enjoyed walking around the property and exploring the pine forest area. We even saw the large snapping turtle in the lower pond. The younger people used the row boat and paddle boards and most of us swam in the lake a bit. It’s so secluded and private that we never had to worry about noisy neighbors. We enjoyed the ping pong and football tables as well. We took a couple of day trips into Delhi and Hobart and we drove over to Putt Putt Van Winkle, all of which were great. We even visited Cooperstown, which was about an hour away. The kitchen is nice, but there a couple of things we didn’t find, like a baking sheet or enough storage containers for leftovers, but we made do. The weather was very hot during our stay, and without air conditioning, the house was also very hot. We could definitely have used more fans. We spent more time outside because of this, which was fine as it was nice place to be outside. We were asked to bring our own towels, which we did, but we neglected to bring wash cloths, so bring some along with you. All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay. The hosts were very nice and communicative.

TROP BRUYANT - séjour de 3 mois (mars-mai)Logement propre, confortable, imbriqué à d’autres logements, en bord de route hyper passante, dangereuse et bruyante de véhicules non respectueux de la vitesse qui font claquer une plaque d’égout à leur passage. Pas d’isolation thermique et phonique, chauffage d’appoint insuffisant, porte d’entrée en bois/verre non isolante avec espace au sol laisse passer la lumière de l’extérieur, le froid et les insectes. Pas de doubles rideaux en chambre, simple vitrage, persiennes ajourées laissent entrer la lumière extérieure et le bruit. Bruit permanent dus aux travaux de construction d’un immeuble de plusieurs étages en façade avant travaux du voisinage du lundi au samedi inclus et parfois même les dimanches aboiements constants des chiens de jour comme de nuit et ce, même en présence des maîtres, la propriétaire dit qu’à Madère c’est ainsi. Impossible d’aérer car environnement trop bruyant et obligation de parler fort et monter le son de la tv car manque d’isolation phonique, concentration difficile pour un travail administratif, logement trop froid. Le vis-à-vis, la proximité, le passage incessant des véhicules, les travaux permanents, le bruit en général ne permettent ni d’aérer ni de s'assoir dehors. Uniquement draps dans les lits, il y a une machine à laver, pas de sèche-linge seulement 2 petits étendoirs et la météo ne permet pas le séchage rapide du linge. Si vous souhaitez venir vous reposer à Madère, ne privilégiez pas ce lieu.
