'Third time booking this hotel. Always lovely, clean, warm (radiators are always on before you arrive so the room is lovely and warm to get easy in). A lovely lady from concierge called me today to confirm my booking and ensure we had the details for the contactless check-in (access codes for the front door and key box) as we were due to arrive after she had left. Super friendly and welcoming. Room is lovely and clean, large comfy bed, clean bathroom and shower and even a space for cooking...

'Not the first, and won't be the last time I have stayed here. Very cosy pub, good food, friendly staff and comfi bedroom with easy parking. What else could you wish for? On this occasion, I even was able to help them with a beer dispense issue (my previous profession) so a good stay all round. Looking forward to my next stay.'

'Upon arrival, the staff were very helpful. The room allocated was on the second floor. Very spacious and clean room. The bathroom was fantastic, very clean and bright. Both bathroom and the bedroom were well heated. We slept so well. The shower water pressure was not great. The hotel is very nice. The rooms need updating, and could do with some maintenance such as walls abd ceilings.I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would come back again. '

'We had a lovely stay. The facilities and staff are all brilliant. The pool and lake was a bit too cold for us in October but will be back in the summer. We had lots of little walks, family game time and enjoyed the boat in the lake. Our dog was in heaven swimming every day!'

'I am utterly disgusted that this place is even still open, arrived at 7:50pm and told we had to find food elsewhere as kitchen shuts at 8pm, then was told they were not aware we had a room booked and she would have to call owner to confirm! Said she would call us back while we found something to eat as his phone went to voicemail!!!!! We then get a call to say yes they have made a room up! I then asked if they were aware we had a full English breakfast the next morning… again no they didn’t!!...
