'Breakfast was excellent! House was quite. Only issue was that we didn't know that kitchen was open to guest on the first day. That is where the homemade cookies, muffin, and coffee is!'

'They could not find their maintenance man to unlock the pool, apparently he had the one and only gate key to the pool. At breakfast the served link sausage that looked raw and just generally nasty. The tub in our room was dirty, apparently housekeeping does not scrub the sides of the tub, the tub had a water leak and was also slimy where water stood.'

'The Retro was a nice place to stay. The only thing I would change would be to have another trash can under the table and put down something in the bottom of the tub. The bottom of the tub was very slick when trying to shower. It would have been nice to have some fruit and protein for breakfast. We had to go buy breakfast to get anything healthy. 'The hotel is quiet at night. It's in a great location. The only issue was the hot tub. The first night it was working but the second night the jets weren't working. As we were leaving the following morning someone was working on the hot tub. So not sure the issue but hopefully it got fixed quickly. Staff is very friendly.'

'First of all. Don’t judge this hotel by the pictures on Expedia. There is a reason there are not many. The building and facilities are not updated or well maintained. If you’re looking for a cheap hotel where quality matches price. This is the place for you. If you stay here-do not use the cheaper non refundable rate that is offered. I made that mistake. 'The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had some hot items, biscuits each day, and sausage or eggs depending on the day. The pool was perfect for what we needed. I've never had such a great hotel experience at such a low price. It was perfect for my son and me and I'd absolutely stay here again! '
