Word wakker met een prachtig uitzicht op de bergen en het geluid van een beekje buiten uw raam of prachtige stroken van onaangeroerde sneeuw. Geniet na een dag skiën of wandelen van onze fantastische jacuzzi-hot tub of open een van de vele vuuropties terwijl u naar de zonsondergang kijkt. Activiteiten zijn talrijk in zowel de zomer als de winter en omvatten skiën van wereldklasse / snowboarden, langlaufen, mountainbiken, raften en wandelen direct voor de deur of slechts enkele minuten op de weg.

Ons huisje is uitgerust met alles wat u nodig heeft om een snelle snack of een gastronomische maaltijd te bereiden. Mooi glaswerk, serviesgoed, linnengoed, kookgerei en serveerstukjes stellen je in staat om net zo veel van deze vakantie te genieten als je eigen huis. Er is ook een Weber houtskoolgrill en een gasgrill op het uitgestrekte dek dat de achterkant van het huis omhult. Met 2 open haarden en een aangenaam decor, maak je klaar om te ontspannen en veel te glimlachen. Het is echt een speciale plek.

Mountain retreat

We had a great stay in Blue River. The view from the balcony was fabulous and peaceful! House was very well equipped. Easy drive to Breck with lots of hikes, waterfalls, lakes and great food!

Private, quiet and beautiful views!

We enjoyed our stay and were very happy with the layout of the house. PROs:- beautiful mountain home- quiet and privateCONs:- getting out of the driveway was challenging with an AWD SUV after snowplows cleared the road following a 4" snow. - Discovered there was no body wash or dishwasher soap once we used shower and dishwasher for the first time. - Ask for the house rules prior to your stay. We had to leave the property by 6am to catch flight at DIA and were instructed to have all towels and bedding washed and dried. Given the TOD, we were advised to use the speed wash which takes 15 minutes, something my minor germophobe tendencies doesn't embrace as a new guest.

High Altitude Getaway

It was very cozy little house and in a beautiful mountain neighborhood setting. Home was spotless and very well kept and supplied and was so much better than a hotel! I didn't realize how high up the home and town were! So if you aren't in good physical shape or have breathing issues I wouldn't suggest renting there. It was only 12 minutes to town so close enough to do a few times a day. Got to watch My Eagles Win their 2nd Superbowl there and was great starting at 430pm vs. 630pm back home. Highly recommend this home and love to see in summer! Owner was very helpful when ever needed.

Great place

Everything was clean and the place was spectacular. We did have an awd vehicle and had to be pulled out of the drive way by a tow truck since we couldn’t get up the hill but that could be due to a rental car not having the best tires. But the host was very accommodating with a recommendation of who to call and very helpful. Would stay there again without a doubt.

Enjoyed the home!

A very nice home, maintained with care by the owners. We enjoyed the view as well as the nearby mountain stream. Dawn was readily available when we had a minor problem, which was quickly resolved.

Lovely Escape

We had a great stay at this cozy, charming little home! It is nestled in a pine forest in the mountains just south of Breckenridge, which gave us an opportunity to enjoy the busy town when we chose to, while also feeling like we had a true mountain escape in the wilderness! The views of mountains and a babbling brook from the wrap around deck are amazing and the hot tub is roomy and pristine! The kitchen is well stocked and larger for this size of home. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever experienced in a rental, complete with quality linens. Great hiking and gorgeous sight-seeing all around the area. Owner was helpful and easy to communicate with. We would stay here again.

Amazing stay!

We enjoyed every bit of our stay, and this was the perfect home base. It was easy to get into town for dinner, but also easy to escape for adventures. The neighborhood as a whole was quiet and relaxing. A great escape from ‘normal’ life.

Great little place! We stayed in March and went snowboarding, it was absolutely beautiful. Tons of snow! The driveway is a little steep so make sure you have a vehicle that can handle ice/snow!

Great location for remote activities.

Quiet neighborhood and beautiful view. Seemed to be so remote but actually very close and convenient to Breck and all that goes on there. We back country skied and snowshoed in the valley. This is the perfect location to get to Quandary Park and Hoosier Pass.

We really enjoyed our stay. Cabin had everything we needed. Hot tub was great after hikes. We saw moose at the property which was a special treat. We highly recommend the property as it is close to hikes and 15 min to town.

Picturesque views

Location was perfect for our summer getaway, easy access to hiking trails & town (when needed). Full of amenities for cooking/grilling. Loved sitting out on the deck in the evenings with the fire pit star gazing & listening to the mountain stream. Beautiful setting, exactly what we were looking for in our vacation rental! Grateful that we could bring our furbaby along for the adventure!

Wonderful cabin with a view

This was a wonderful cabin slightly off the beaten path, in a quiet neighborhood. The deck was fantastic along with the views. We were there in late June and the stream off the deck was more like a creek with all the runoff. It was great listening to it. We liked that it's very updated. The kitchen had everything you could want and more. The living room had beautiful views. And the owners were prompt in communicating which we always appreciate. The only negative was that the two couches were hard and uncomfortable. I realize that this is just one couple's opinion, but it seems like some softer cozier furniture would make a big difference. We would stay here again though.

Quiet, quaint… Our Family of 4 enjoyed the mountain experience (Quiet, Quaint, Beautiful trees, Great View, tons of snow, Wildlife, etc.) Owner was great - Definitely need a 4wd & the desire for a remote experience - Fit the bill for us.

We absolutely loved our stay. The location was perfect, not too far from town and the lifts. Quite neighborhood and visits from the local Moose and fox were a real treat! Dawn is very responsive and accommodating! Highly recommend this location.

Beautiful setting

The house was all done up, inside and out, for Christmas. Really made it festive for us. This was the best equipped property we have ever stayed in. We were able to cook a full prime rib dinner with all the fixings. Beautiful place to walk at night, the sky was so clear and full of stars. Wish the part about needing 4 wheel drive in winter was more upfront on the listing.

Great Location, Easy Access, Perfect for the Price

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our 10 day stay! The house is small-ish but well laid out, and has everything you could want. Great value for the money! The deck with hot tub was awesome for soaking and/or admiring the views of lower Hoosier Pass. Internet was strong, location nicely spaced between Alma and Breck and less than a mile off the highway, excellent kitchen for cooking. Words of caution for future guests (but not complaints): the site is built down into a hill and is not flat, so not great for those with mobility problems. If you're traveling with dogs there were not great options for runs...be prepared for walks, but you'll enjoy them. This house has been smoked in, probably many, many years ago, something you may not even notice...if you're uber-sensitive to that, just be aware. Personally, we had zero complaints!

Secluded Perfection

Our stay at La Barranca was excellent!! It was the perfect size for our family of three, well equipped and in a fantastic location. Dawn was lovely to work with and it was so nice to be able to travel with our dogs! We ended up leaving one day early, and all of us were sad to go. We will absolutely be back!!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The deck was great with the hot tub and beautiful views. The only negative for us was the sofa and throw pillows did have pet hair which got on our clothes when we sat. Thanks so much for a very pleasant week.

Perfectly beautiful mountain retreat with great amenities!

Our family enjoyed this property very much. We were able to use it as a base to enjoy the surrounding activities. We rented bikes for riding trails, hiked, enjoyed some local restaurants, and got in some shopping at the outlets. We did have snow during our stay at the end of May which was strange for us southern Californians, but it was a beautiful sight across the trees and mountains. Our favorite part of this home was the hot tub! What a luxury especially during some chilly days! The Keurig and other appliances were great also. One thing to note if you’re new to high elevations like we were—the elevation here is above 10,000 ft, and we had altitude sickness for most of the time until we would descend into the cities🥴. Drink lots of water!!
