We had a blast to stay at Colson House. Great place to stay if you are visiting Brighton. Everything you want is by walk distance. Accommodation is clean and comfortable. We will definitely come back if we ever visit Brighton again.

The room was fine and we were impressed that we got service on day two without requesting it. We were not really prepared to have no staff on site. It would have been good to be able to leave bags on the last day as our train to Gatwick was late in the day.

Had a lovely stay at Colson House. Very comfortable and great location for access to the beach and town centre. Billy was a brilliant host - very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

Colsdon house is a lovely little place to stay. The place was clean, comfy beds & friendly staff. Would recommend the stay there but would suggest not to park your car under the trees as it'll get seagull bombed 😀

Charming, quiet, clean, central.
Such a charming and quiet hotel. The bed was so comfy and the room was spacious And clean. One of the owners Billy was really friendly. Is central to Kemp town area. Recommend this hotel.

I loved our stay at Colson House, John is the ideal host and the room was stylish and nipping clean. John had lots of local advice for parking, shopping and bars, and map and events were available in the reception hallway. I will definitely be returning I felt safe on my return as there was always a warm welcome from John (from the balcony whilst enjoying the sunshine). It’s the little touches like this make a world of difference

Grand old hotel in convenient location!
The Colson House is a lovely old hotel (former boarding house, according the the owners). The owners/hosts offered great assistance with our stay...check in was smooth, parking passes easy to acquire (although parking on the same street wasnot available, we did find a good space a couple blocks away), and amenities were plentiful. Our room was somewhat small for two adults, with suitcases, and the bathroom, while private and well appointed, was up a narrow staircase. It was fine for a brief stay, but if we visit again, we'll be sure to ask for a different room so we can more easily access the bathroom.

We stayed in the balcony room. It was lovely to have such a comfortable outdoor space to relax. The room itself was very comfortable, with quality bedding, a comfortable seating area, fridge, and small but perfectly formed bathroom. The hosts were friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Everything was great except the bed and pillows, my partner and me just rolled to the middle and the pillows were thin polyester plus the duvet was thin . Now considering this was a “ bnb” without the breakfast then it’s about the sleep, which was “ difficult “ could be fixed with a new mattress / pillows and duvet.

The host John was very nice and helpful, messaging me on the day to see when we were arriving and wether or not we needed parking permits. The room we had was clean and very spacious. En suite bathroom was clean and the shower was good. The bed was a little soft for our liking but nothing wrong with it and we slept fine. Room had a little fridge which was nice too.

Clean, quiet, friendly, everything you need for a weekend away from the norm to enjoy the great food and nightlife in the city and on the sea front. Check in was friendly, helpfull, and painless. Will definitely be visiting colson house again!

Its so seay to settle in & establish some routine Brighton life at Colson House that it felt like more than just 2 days. A lovely break with breakfast out, the front & the Pavilion a stroll away.

Our host, John, was tremendous. The location was very convenient for getting into the town center and Lanes area in Brighton. The en-suite facilities were adequate if a little too cosy (small). There were plenty of electric points and reliable & fast Wi-Fi. The electric fan was so useful during the hot weather.

Weekend away
The check in was good texted when half an hour away and friendly and efficient. Parking was on road managed to get parked in next road. 10 pounds f0or 24 hours had to be paid in cash on arrival. No parking available in our road the whole time were in our room so dont hold your breath for a parking space. Most cars have been parked there for months. The stairs are narrow and steep so dont bring a big suit case. The room was ok nothing special. The bedding was clean and pressed but had a 5 inch hole in the seam. The whole place was spotless clean and owners friendly and helpful.

John is a super host, texting me on the day of arrival to organise our parking permit. Welcomed us and offered great tips on where to eat, visit and so on. Room was lovelly and clean and was suprised at its size as we had the small double Host were lovelly and the parking permits are a must as parking is limited but permits also worked on neighbouring streets We bumped into host on last day and it was nice to thank them in person Only downsize was shower was small😉but did have plenty of power to it Also the windows were locked shut But a lovelly stay was had by us both

Had a great 2 night stay. Communication with John beforehand was fast and efficient and answered any questions i had. Lovely property nicely decorated and close to the town centre. My only problem was of my own doing as i booked the room at the top of the building and thats a lot of srairs so worrh remembering if you have mobility issues. As i say that was my wrror. John was lovely and woukd definitely stay here again.
