'Amazing, specially prepared gourmet breakfasts by the host. Very fun to sit at breakfast table with other guests. The breakfast is served at 9 am so you can't just grab it and go if you're there for sightseeing. But the food is wonderful! Interesting history behind the house which the host shares. Beautiful rooms.'

'Wij wilden graag dicht bij Jamestown zitten met een Mc Donalds in de buurt. Dus kwamen we hier uit in Angels Camp. Het hotel ziet er een beetje oud uit. De kamer was wel schoon en de bedden ook.Het bed is comfortabel en slaapt goed. Er was wel wat achterstallig onderhoud. Lampjes stuk, lampekap van de plafoniere, stopcontact stuk. Al met al als je een nachtje hier wilt slapen is dit een prima hotel om te verblijven.'

'Prima accommodatie, en op oké afstand van Yosemite. Het is schoon, maar gedateerd. Personeel is aardig en alles is in orde. Alleen geen ventilatie mits je de luide airco constant aan laat staan. Ontbijt is zeer beperkt, maar wel inbegrepen.'

'Staff was phenomenal. Beds were soft and very comfortable. Heater worked well. Room was clean. Only downside because it is an older building the walls are fairly thin and you can hear louder cars and people out on the street. '

'This is a beautiful historic hotel in a perfect setting. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are charming, and the breakfast is one of the best of its kind: the owner bakes a range of delicious cakes each morning. If you plan on visiting Yosemite or the Sequoia trees in the Calaveras grove nearby, or, in fact, Sonora and Gold Country, the Gunn House is by far the best choice.'
