'The property has character. It is charming, clean, and ideally located in a quiet neighborhood . We were able to get to Walmart and Big Y for some snacks and toiletries and to Mohegan Sun for dinner. It was stocked with the necessities and has plenty of space for everyone. We all had a great time. The host was very responsive to all my questions before and during our stay. We would stay there again.'

'My husband and I were exploring a number of birding hotspots in the quiet corner and decided to try the treehouse. We woke to the dawn bird chorus (without any ambient road noise). Just dreamy!'

'Hosted a bachelorette trip at this property and it was fantastic. The kayaks and paddle boards provided plenty to do along with a firepit to sit around at night. The house was cozy with plenty of space to sleep 5. Had a great time! '

'We had a wonderful stay. Very peaceful, quiet, beautiful views. We also really enjoyed Hopeville Pond State Park which was only a 5 min drive. '

'This is a cute, compact 1BR, 1 Bath cottage with great lake access with just a short walk. Good communication from the owner, easy access to Storrs and neighboring towns, and very clean. Loft area has limited space, but the main bedroom is quite comfortable. The only challenges were unrelated to the property (loud neighbors, disputes both nights) and sulfer smell in the water (easily fixed with a Brita pitcher)'

Frank the owner came out to greet us and show us the ropes. What a truly amazing couple him and his wife were. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. 'We very much enjoyed our stay at this property! It is newly renovated and beautifully furnished. Our young children loved finding all of the “silly” frogs featured throughout the home, and we loved the historic maps of the area. The owners really thought of everything when stocking the kitchen, and added touches throughout to make your stay more comfortable. 'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. This is truly an estate. Unfortunately we had rain so we were not able to enjoy the beautiful property. The house has many cool and unique decorations. There is plenty of room to sleep a large crowd. We had a celebration at the house (approved by the owners) which was great. There is plenty of space for guests to spread out and the kitchen is very functional to host a nice buffet dinner party. There is also plenty of parking. A true gem if you are...

'What a wonderful home! This house was huge! There were plenty of rooms for our family, but 3 of my relatives did not make it.The first floor had a bedroom right near the main floor bathroom which was perfect for my 82 year old parents.My husband and I stayed in the upstairs master suite.We were there for Friday and Saturday night.My daughter's wedding was in Union which was a short 15 minute drive.Unfortunately with all the prep at the wedding venue, we were hardly at the house at all.We...

'Great 3 night getaway with my friend. Relaxing time in nature. The cabin was in really good condition and clean. It was also well stocked with extras. The host family were very nice and welcoming. Beautiful area on the pond in the woods. I loved the wood fired sauna. I am definitely looking forward to going back in the future. '
