An easy stroll on the private trail leads to the covered dock where you can swim and store your boat for fishing, lake touring, skiing, or tubing. Over 700 miles of trails can be accessed by boat into Great Smoky Mountain National park or one can tour by boat over to Tsali's famous mountain bike trails. One can arrange for boat rentals at one of two local marinas. Two kayaks and a stand-up paddle board are provided for complimentary use.
The Bryson City area has been described as the most beautiful pristine lakefront wilderness areas in the southeast. Access to 30-mile-long Fontana Lake is limited in that 96% of its 236 miles of shoreline is federally owned, bordered by the Great Smoky Mountain National Park to the north and the Nantahala National Forest on its southern shores.
