De ligging is perfect, zowel om lopend of met het openbaar vervoer. Wel gehorige kamers, nu hadden we de pech met onze overburen die 's nachts om half 4 met zeer veel kabaal en zeer luidruchtig vanaf de lift, de gang naar hun kamer gingen.

De plek was uniek. Je moet wel steeds naar de andere kant lopen ivm de entre in een van poten. Verder zeer goede bedden en goeie douche. Hier en daar wat beschadigingen en aanslag tand des tijds. Ligt geweldig in de beste buurt van budapest aanrader

Een hele goede ligging ten opzichte van het openbaar vervoer en de Hop on & Hop off bussen. Maar wat een uitzoekerij is dat. Elkaar beconcurerende busmaatschappijen maken er een zooitje van. De routekaartjes zijn onduidelijk. Onder de boog van het hotel en de buurt achter het hotel zijn veel terassen en eetgelegenheden. Er zijn dagelijks opvallend veel studenten te vinden. Voor 3 sterren is het hotel redelijk, voor 4 sterren is hij onder de maat. Het ontbijt is voldoende maar het brood kan stukken beter. Je hoeft niet vooraf het ontbijt te reserveren en betaalt naar gebruik bij de eindafrekening. Onze kamer was netjes, compleet (echter slechts 1 stoel) en niet te klein, we waren toch altijd weg. De badkamer was wél te klein. Je moet zijdelings op de wc zitten en de douchecabine is 70x70cm. De liftcapaciteit laat nogal eens te wensen over. De dubbele ramen staan op instorten maar daar wordt aan gewerkt.

prima ligging voor een stedentrip, in het centrum
Boedapest is een prachtige stad, beslist de moeite waard. Het gebruik van de hop on- hop off bus is aan te bevelen, niet altijd even overzichtelijk. Erg vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen, die bijna allemaal wel Engels spreken.

Hotel kamer en personeel zijn prima, Hotel wordt verbouwd werden daardoor s'morgens om 7 uur wakker. Na klacht hielden ze rekening met lawaai tot half 9.Ontbijt zeer slecht in het café naast het hotel. Café ziet er slecht uit, vieze plak plastieken tafelkleetjes en slecht eten.

Het hotel ligt op een toplocatie: dichtbij de winkelstraten, leuke restaurantjes en de opstaphalte voor de bussen en metro.De bevolking is erg vriendelijk. Minpunt hotel:de toilet stond totaal verkeerd ten opzichte van de douchecabine. Daardoor kon je niet normaal op de toilet gaan zitten, maar alleen vanaf de zijkant. Hier is een bouwvakker aan het werk geweest die zijn verstand niet heeft gebruikt: de toilet een kwartslag draaien zou het probleem oplossen.

Het ontbijt was karig en bevond zich in een cafe naast het hotel. Er zat geen variatie in. Soms met bedorven fruit. De hotelkamer was goed, maar we hadden in de badkamer een gat in het plafond.

prima uitvals hoek voor weekend boedapest, gelegen naast horeca en uitgaans centrum en vlakbij winkelcentrum, het hotel doet wel duurder aan door fotos, als je voor de hoteldeur staat verwacht je niet dat het goed is van binnen lijkt eerder armoedig en het ontbijt is in naast gelegen kroeg, gelukkig wordt daar niet gerookt, maar wel super goed ontbijt, je waant je wel in hongaarse sferen. als je er eenmaal aan gewent bent is het absoluut een aanrader.

Having checked in on the Monday and being sold a room upgrade to a quiet area of the hotel, I was awoken at 6:30 the following morning by the very loud lift music. Upon then attempting to have a shower, I discovered this was not working. 09:30 and I receive a call from reception stating that the hotel is being evacuated due to “air-con maintenance issues”. Then having waited around reception for several hours, and wasting a day of my holiday, I was told that I would have to spend the rest of my stay in another hotel. The new hotel wasn’t fit for purpose - far away from chosen location, no bath for my young daughter, minuscule room and a very poor child’s bed. I explained to reception that I would prefer another hotel if I had to be moved. They said this wasn’t possible. As a result, I requested a refund so that I could book another hotel of my choosing. They said I’d need to contact Expedia, but I could always book another hotel in the meantime and apply for a refund later (thankfully I didn’t do that!) Having then spoken to Expedia, they said it was up to the hotel to issue the refund. Expedia attempted to contact the hotel several times to no avail, and I have been refused a refund. I had no choice but to stay in the alternative hotel, as otherwise I’d have paid for two lots of accommodation. Very poor advice from the ARCadia staff in suggesting I book another hotel and claim for a refund later. I would still like my refund.

Myself and my partner recently stayed at the Arcadia for a 5 night city break. We chose a room with a supreme queen bed, and were amazed to see that the room was huge, almost like a suite! There was lots of space for our things, and a large bathroom too! Another thing that was great was that there were plenty of electric sockets for charging etc. The hotel is very centrally situated, with pubs and restaurants nearby, and is only a 5 minute walk from St Stephen’s Basilica. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. We decided to add on breakfast for 2 days, and it was very nice, mostly continental but with some cooked items too. There was lots of choice. I would recommend staying here, and would stay again if I return to Budapest!

I really liked the location of the hotel as the transportation is very convenient in this area. The room was always clean, however may need some renovation of the washroom. I did not like while showering how the water suddenly turned burning hot. That was hazardous and has been reported.

I had the best check in experience with Soli. He was so lovely, recommended places for me to go, gave me a nicer room and overall every time I walked into ARCadia I was greeted with a smile. Genuinely my time in Budapest could not have been better. The staff are there 24/7 and even when I’d booked a hotel room half an hour before getting there, both staff were so attentive and understanding. My room was stunning, the location was amazing. I would most definitely stay here again if I visit Budapest again. 5/5 all around, can’t thank the staff of ARCadia enough.

I ordered a single room with double bed . The guys in the reception said this is hotels.com website bug and the single room is only one single bed and not what I ordered. I had to add money to “upgrade” to big bed (the one that I ordered and paid already)
