Vroeger een oude stal die nu smaakvol omgebouwd tot een lief klein huisje in een prive-gated terrein van de eigenaren van kleine bedrijf midden in de ongerepte uitzicht op het platteland. Hosting een open keuken / woonkamer, een slaapkamer en een badkamer met krachtige douche met lef van warm water, wastafel en w. c. De keuken bestaat uit een koelkast, fornuis en kookplaat, wasmachine en wastafel. De slaapkamer heeft een kleine kledingkast, een kaptafel, twee eenpersoonsbedden en een nachtkastje. In de woonkamer is er een t. v met ingebouwde dvd-speler, slaapbank en een eettafel. De woonkamer heeft openslaande deuren naar een eigen achtertuin patio met tafel en stoelen met uitzicht op uitzicht op het platteland. Het huisje wordt compleet geleverd met een gratis welkomstpakket van thee, koffie, toiletartikelen en beddengoed en handdoeken om uw verblijf nog comfortabeler te maken. Stel een mijl van de dichtstbijzijnde pub voor lekker eten en twee mijl van het dorp, dat een slagers, dorpswinkel, een postkantoor en twee pubs gastheer. Omgeven door prachtige wandelingen en fietstochten in Cannock Chase. Aparte fietsenstalling en fiets- en speelruimte inbegrepen. Tal van bezienswaardigheden en dingen om te doen in de buurt. Bezoek het nationale arboretum in Alrewas, de kathedraal van Lichfield of rijd naar Ashbourne. Veel voor de kinderen zoals Go Ape, Drayton Manor, Alton Towers allemaal binnen 30 minuten rijden.

Home from Home

Poppy cottage is comfortable both inside and out. The owner was lovely . Loads of information on walks in the surrounding area. Perfect location for our visit to Abbotts Bromley, to visit the ancestors. Will definately book again when back that way. Thank you Tracy and Darren for letting your beautiful Poppy Cottage. xxx

Loved it!

We had such a wonderful stay at Poppy's Barn. The property was exactly what we were looking for - beautiful setting, very comfortable, quiet & welcoming. My daughter spent ages enjoying the grounds, building special places for the fairies to visit. The host was absolutely lovely - I hope we are able to stay here again someday. Highly recommend!

Lovely location

A wonderful property which was already decorated for Christmas, my two little girls loved the cosines of it along with the sofa bed! Seeing the animals wander by kept them captivated with the odd walk outside to talk to them all in amongst playing with their Christmas presents. A wonderful get away in the great countryside!

Holiday home bliss!

Myself and my two granddaughters ( aged 7 and 5 years) spent six nights at the property. We were welcomed so warmly and shown around the property. I was made to feel that if I had any questions, at any time, than I could ask them. My granddaughters were very interested to see the sheep, chickens and fish. It was a perfectly safe environment for them due to the entrance gates. Also due to the layout of the property I knew if they needed me at night then I would beable to hear them. The location of the property was so peaceful day and night. Also beautiful countryside views. There are many visitor attractions in the area so no need for a dull moment. I would highly recommend staying at this property. You will not be disappointed.

Away from it all.

This is a lovely cosy cottage away from it all. Perfect if you want to escape into the countryside. Leave behind noise, breath fresh air, hear chickens and not the ping of e mail. The bed setee is ok but the bedding cannot tuck in so it disappears overnight. A sleeping bag would be better. The shower is superb and the hosts friendly and on site if needed. Perfect for a get away from it all break.

Lovely self-contained property

This is the second time we have stayed at Poppies Barn, this time for 4 nights. Tracy & Darren are perfect hosts, very friendly and keep the property in very good condition. We are left to ourselves and not bothered at all but know they are in the farmhouse on site if we need help with anything. We’re already booked to go back to Poppies Barn twice next year as it isn’t very convenient for when we take part at the Curborough Sprint Circuit. Chris & Maggie

Perfect little cottage for our family of three!

We booked this cottage for our family trip to Alton towers. Tracey greeted us on our arrived was really pleasant considering we got stuck in traffic and arrived rather late. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect little cottage for our stay, and when my partner forgot his toothbrush and thought we were going to have to find a convenience store closeby, we actually looked under the sink to actually find a toiletry set which included a toothbrush! Will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Stoke, thank you so much!

Amazing stay

Great little cottage- hidden gem

Small cottage with everything you need. Friendly owners and even more friendly dog and chickens. I kept finding things.... pack of cards, binoculars, colouring pencils...... we were lucky with the weather but theyve thought of things to keep you entertained (as uf the chickens weren't enough..... oh and their eggs). I would happily recommend staying here, we loved it.

Small but perfect fit for our little family of 3. We were welcomed by Tracy and a bowl full of fresh eggs from the chickens. Our daughter loved the daily visits from poppy the dog, looking at the fish, seeing the newly hatched chick and playing in the games room. We loved it and will be planning another visit.

2 night stay in a cosy converted barn

We were given good info how to find the farm. Darren was there to greet us and show us round. The property is small but has been well designed so you don't feel claustrophobic. There was a hiccup but I'm sure it will be sorted before the next guests arrive.
