'Just got back yesterday from Riverview Cottage. Just lovely! Very comfortable and clean, it had everything that we needed. Pub across the road, garden to sit in with lovely trees to look at. Near the Manifold and Tissington trails for walking and cycling. We had a lovely time and were sad to leave.'

'Hi This is a lovely, quiet little cottage. It was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and has very effective heating (we visited in November). We appreciated all the guide books and large collection of books and games.The stairs might be a bit steep for some, but otherwise the cottage was excellent and we would be happy to stay there again.'

'If you are looking for the perfect stay stop looking ! After driving up from London to explore the Peak District we were delighted to arrive at a very new, designer appointed lovely home ! Sitting at night and watching the birds on the canal was so peaceful and relaxing. While being close enough to Lyme Park and Lyme House - (Jane Austen would approve) and Chatsworth etc the truly grand homes we shopped and cooked as there was everything we needed to stay in and enjoy our stay. 'Behind the black iron door there is a lovely well equipped cottage. The best thing is that it is right in the middle of Cheadle and at the same time a quite retreat, the best of both. We are not the absolute nature lovers, but made trips tot Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool. Close enough for a days visit. But we explored the Peak district as well. We did Buxton and Ashbourne and Leek too. We find the cottage very cosy. We didn’t miss a thing. Everything was there, including good Wifi.'

'Check in was easy and the cottage clean and warm on arrival. It is small, but was perfect for 2 of us with everything we needed for 2 nights. Shower was hot and powerful. Sofa was a bit uncomfortable to sit on but not a problem. There is a public footpath that runs past the front door but we only saw one person all weekend. We did spot a deer through the kitchen window which was lovely to see. We did some lovely walks from the cottage. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend or stay again. Thank you'

'A lovely little hut in a perfect location. Check out time is 9am so if we were to return, I think it would have to be for a minimum of two nights as 9am is pretty early so we didn’t even have time for breakfast before we had to clean up and check out. Considering the price and the small space, I think a complimentary addition of bits in the fridge would be good. Lots of places I’ve visited for the same price (and less!) on Vrbo have added in fresh bread, butter, orange juice and even Prosecco...
