One of the best!!
This was one of the best experiences we've had. Jeff called us the day before to see if we needed anything, had any questions, and to make sure we had his number. He then checked on us the day of our travel to let us know that if we tried to reach he might be out of contact so leave a message and he will call back, but he also came to check on us when we got there to introduce himself, make sure all is well, and gave us some options of things to do. We asked about a bike trail, he didn't know of any, but the next morning I received a text of where to go. I would recommend this to anyone who loves peace and quiet after a long day.

Nice property, small but efficient. Sitting area (couch) in unit “B” was very uncomfortable when trapped inside due to rain storm. View is great and the cabin itself is efficient, clean and to the point. About 6 miles from Eagle Cove Marina.

Stayed here several nights. It was very clean and everything needed was provided. Jeff was very friendly and quick to respond to any questions. The place was quiet and peaceful and had a nice area for the dog to explore. Will definitely return to this place.

Thank you Jeff for allowing us to rent your property. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The view from the porch is spectacular. You were very attentive, and very helpful when I had any questions. Worked out perfect for us, pet friendly. Our dogs had fun running around. The cabin has a beautiful view. Quiet, peaceful place. Jeffrey is very easy to deal with, involved, answered immediately, very friendly. The place was clean, very well equipped with all the necessities. There was only 1 problem, we didn’t want to leave. We will definitely plan to go back for a whole week.

Perfect getaway
The cabin & view were absolutely beautiful. Jeff was a delight to deal with prior to, during and after our stay. The cabin was stocked with all needed items from pots and pans, dishes, towels, toilet paper, etc. My husband and I stayed here for an extended weekend getaway while we did some hiking and boating at Dale Hollow. We are already discussing making this a yearly trip and staying at one of Jeff's cabins! Also, if you are lucky, you will get a visit from a friendly basset hound from up the street <3

Perfext little cabin
Jeffery was very nice! We arrived a little earlier than estimated and he was still cleaning the place up a bit when we pulled up. It gave us the chance to talk to him a little bit. He was extremely quick to respond to messages which was super nice. My friend and I brought our kayaks along and he told us of an amazing little hidden gem of a place to put in. It was only 5 minutes from the cabin. The farmer that lives behind the property also stopped by one day to make sure that we knew of that spot which was very nice. I loved watching the cows in the distance while drinking my morning coffee. Will definitely be staying here again!

A much needed pause
It exceeded our expectations. The 4 mile road it is on is a little curvy and narrow pulling a trailer, but I got used to it. The Host went over and above to make sure our accommodations were fantastic. If I could give it 10 stars, I would.

Peace and Quiet
Our family of four had a wonderful and peaceful vacation while staying in this home. The view from the porch was beautiful and perfect for day dreaming and napping. Jeff is an amazing host! He is friendly, kind, and full of knowledge regarding places to experience and explore! We took our kayaks and found many, many places to drop into the water and paddle. Such a peaceful place to stay! We will definitely return to this little piece of heaven!

Jeff was the most gracious host we've met. He went the extra mile in every way. We have never seen a cleaner place and well stocked with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The view from the cabin was beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The location is close to everything we needed and wanted with regards to the lake and town. Beautiful get away location
Great place to stay at if you’re looking to be away from everything. Very small town just a few miles from the cabin makes it feel amazing when your used to the big city rush back home. Rodger was great to work with, very helping and informational. Neighborhood dog stopped by on our last day was great and oh. The homemade biscuits and jam on the first morning were amazing. Great place to stay, you won’t be disappointed. And it’s right close to Dale Hollow Lake so bring your fishing pole and relax and unwind. Thanks Rodger!!

Heavens Hide Away
Roger was excellent. Homemade biscuits and jam for breakfast was awesome. Great place to stay. Room for truck and boat trailer. Easy to get in and out. Will definately stay here in future.

Amazing hospitality
We had an amazing stay and was able to disconnect from our “screens” so we could truly enjoy our time at the lake. The owner was super hospitable and was very accommodating. Highly recommended!

Great family getaway
We had a nice mini vacation at cabin A. Cabin was simple and peaceful. Our kids loved the back porch and bunk beds and our dog loved the yard. Roger was very kind and brought us homemade biscuits and jelly our 1st morning and fresh tomatoes from his garden the next day. We wanted to rent a boat and he told us of 3 nearby marianas. We ended up driving a little further to Eastport because they allow dogs in their rentals. He also told us of a nice spot the locals like to go to on Dale Hollow just a few minutes from the cabin. People were dropping their jet skis in that location and we brought inflatables to float across to a little quiet beach area.

Perfect getaway!
Great for 2-3 people! We brought our goldendoodle who had LOTS of room to run. Minutes from a beach and secluded fishing spot! Owner is quick to respond and very hospitable. Wood provided for firepit by cabin. Window ac units keep it nice and cool. Pillows, towels, and kitchenware all provided. Was well worth it!

Beautiful views of mountains, close to Dale Hollow Lake marinas and relaxing, quiet atmosphere!!
From the time we got there, Roger made us feel welcome, and right at home. The homemade biscuits he delivered the first morning were sooo good!! My mother and I enjoyed 10 days at this “slice of heaven”. From incredible views, sitting on the front porch rocking our cares away, and Roger’s downhome, friendly hospitality made our stay amazing. Not to mention my two dogs would agree, it was a doggy slice of heaven too. They had plenty room to roam, and made a friend with the neighbor dog Rufus, who is friendly, sweet and affectionate!!! The dogs loved him coming by to say hi and enjoyed running and playing with him. Thank’s Roger for everything!! My mother and I thank you for your hospitality! If you want to get away from it all, this is your “slice of heaven”!! I will definitely be back!!!!

Perfect Getaway!
This was the perfect getaway for my family and me! Roger let us know where the highlights were for fun, dining and entertainment. The cabin was the perfect size for 4 people. Roger provided free firewood and awesome biscuits and jam. We had a great host, a great place and a great time. Roger's price is beyond reasonable. The location is quiet and serene and close to everything there is to do in the area. If you book this spot, you will be glad you did!

Great getaway
This place was perfect for us. We don't spend a lot of time in a cabin since we like to be on the water, but being able to bring our furkids and having a place for them to roam was great! The owner is the sweetest, takes great pride in his property and definitely serves as a great host.

Like a rustic yet modern tiny house in a country meadow!
It was nice, kind of like glamping/camping! There were plusses that outweighed a few minuses. We were 2 adults and 2 kids and a small dog there to enjoy boating on the gorgeous Dale Hollow Lake. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was small but adequate as was the kitchen. There is no sofa, just two comfy chairs. So 2 ppl had to sit on wooden kitchen chairs of an evening. And we could never get the AC very cool in the "living room", but the bedroom temps were fine. Those very minor things were the only negatives. It was a pretty and quiet setting, and we enjoyed our stay dispite it! I would have brought more food to cook rather than trying the local places, had I more time to plan before the trip. But Rogers biscuits and jelly were tasty, and a very sweet gesture the first morning. We had a great 3 nights in the cabin

Exactly what we wanted
Roger and his cabin rentals are awesome. The cabin was just what we wanted, clean and cozy, very comfortable..the country view was so peaceful and relaxing..Roger was more than accommodating when it came to our comfort and needs, even to allowing our cat to stay with us,and the biscuits and jam were out of this world. My grandson can’t stop talking about the biscuits..care to share recipe Roger? If the need ever arises, we will be sure to book with Roger..Thanks again Roger

Beautiful, peaceful, restful, easygoing
Roger makes the best biscuits, hands down! The cabin was super cute and clean, and a nice, cool refuge from the summer heat. We had everything we needed, and Roger was great about stopping by to tell us what was going on in town and where the closest swimming holes were. He even secured a life vest for my son. My dog was welcome, and he enjoyed ranging around the farm. The view was lovely, especially at night under the light of the full moon. We were very close to the lake, marina, and various put-ins, but not so close that we had to deal with things like parking lots and noise. I needed a place where we could just be ourselves and relax, and this was definitely the place. When we get some time to get away in the future, we’ll be checking in with Roger first.

Three great days at Heaven's Hideaway. THANK YOU ROGER!
The cabin was neat, clean, and stocked with all the basics. Water access is just down the road. The rural scenery was beautiful. Our host Roger Schindler was a great guy who offered us insights on the area and provided breakfast our first morning. You will have to look far and wide to find a better host than Roger.

Fantastic

Great secluded place!
Great place to stay to get away from everything, but close enough to activity if you want to take part, as the boat rental is just miles away. Roger was a great host and even brought us homemade biscuits and jam one morning. Definitely a place that my wife and I will frequent often!

awesome quiet getaway from the grind. cabin has everything you need for comfortable stay all you need to do is stock your fridge. Roger is a great host and makes you feel at home , not to mention the wonderful biscuits you wake up to on first morning , never tasted anything like'em.. if you want a quiet getaway with a wonderful view and close to dale hollow boat ramp , without being right on the lake , you can't get much better. we highly recommend !! looking forward to another stay. Great location and very clean!
Heavens Hideaway is in a great location just minutes from Sunset Marina. The cottage is spotless and just big enough for our group of four, along with our dogs. Roger takes excellent care of the property and responded quickly to any questions we had. Overall, an excellent first trip to Dale Hallow.

Peaceful and Perfect!
We enjoyed a few days in the "Slice of Heaven" and it was just that! The view from the front porch is spectacular! Really enjoyed our biscuits and jelly! We were there to enjoy a few days at the lake and this was a perfect location. Plenty of room to park our boat when it wasn't in the water. Dale Hollow Lake was as beautiful as we remembered it from 25 years ago! Great trip with my son and daughter-in-law to celebrate my 65th birthday! Thanks for making this beautiful place available to be enjoyed by all!

Great location for boating on Dale Hollow Lake!
We had a great time on our vacation and Roger and Sharon were wonderful hosts. The cabin we stayed in was comfortable and clean and had all of the essentials including air conditioning, plenty of hot water for showers and satellite TV. Our dog, Coco, loved the place too, especially sitting on the porch and watching the deer and someone's kitty who tried to torment him! Our only complaint is that the gas grill (which is absolutely fabulous) could undergo a good cleaning. Thanks Roger and Sharon for being such good hosts and good cooks. Relaxing in the country but playing in the water!
After driving for several hours, we called to let Roger know we would be arriving soon. Although it was very late, he met us on a main road and led us all the way to our cabin. With so much space, parking the boat was no problem. Roger is probably the nicest man you will ever meet! He gave us a quick tour of the cabin and then arrived a day later with hot biscuits and homemade jam. The cabin was as cute as can be, very clean, well-stocked, and felt like home. We especially enjoyed the front porch, complete with rocking chairs and beautiful scenery, and a grill for the evening meal! We brought our dog with us and he LOVED having all the land to explore. It's a beautiful and peaceful place to relax. We were only about 10 minutes to Dale Hollow and of course we spent time on the water as well. One night we ordered pizza from Sister's Pizzeria. It was pretty good! Roger is a wonderful host and within minutes of arriving, you will feel like family. :) We miss it already!

Great place to stay!
We enjoyed our stay! The cabin is so clean and nice. Roger was very helpful and friendly. We felt like we stayed with family with all the privacy of a cabin in the woods. Best of both worlds!! The biscuits and jelly were delicious and we took home a bag of veggies from the garden. We will definitely be staying here again!!!
