'This is such a gem of a place. The service was impeccable and the staff are so lovely, it made our stay even more special. There loads of activities that travelers can choose to do as well. The pool and area surrounding is so relaxing, tropical and tranquil. There are a plethora of amazing birds and other species to see on the property itself or just a short walk! You can also rent bikes and head into Puerto Jimenez which is lovely and special too. What an amazing property and spectacular...
'Our stay at Lapa Rios was unforgettable from the moment we arrived. Staff were waiting for us as we got off the ferry in Puerto Jiménez, and after a scenic drive to the lodge, we were welcomed with tropical drinks and warm, personal greetings. 'The view from absolutely everywhere is stunning. We had the chance to see a plethora of birds and monkeys from our little pool in our balcony. The drive there is a little challenging but the location makes it all worth it. Taking a shower indoor/outdoor is one of a lifetime experience. '
'This resort provides an authentic "forest" experience while at the same time making sure all one's needs are taken care of. Dining is surprisingly good (my husband is a gourmet chef so he should know) as is the service! We couldn't ask for more but got it thanks to the friendliness of the owners. They are ever present and offer great advice (as well as conversation) for a fulfilling experience.

'John and Annie don't have a no for an answer, rooms are small but comfortable, and clean, a little outdated, good wi fi, no tv, ac is a diamond in the area, no restaurant or breakfast but evermore l everything is walkable, ride from San Jose is 6 hours, going towards the Corcovado park or Carate beach can take 2 hours more in an 4x4 car. You can take a plane from San Jose $140 and get there in 25 minutes. There is not Ev charger in the area, somehow John manage to get me electricity to use...

'Surfhouse pavones is located steps from the beach allowing several surf sessions a day. There is a cafe restaurant next door with unreal smoothies. A little market right up the street has it all. The rooms at the surfhouse were clean and the kitchen has everything including a view of pavones. A lot of woodwork and art at the surfhouse and plenty of room for surfboards. The owner is laid back, accommodating and knowledgeable to make the experience unforgettable.'

'Our stay at Pavones Point was perfect! The location is right at the top point of Pavones surf break. Walk right across the road and paddle out…or walk a little down to the right for a bit less intense wave. The condo was clean and spacious…had everything we needed. Clean towels, comfortable beds, coffee maker, toaster, blender. No salt or pepper and no trays if you plan on making bacon or roasting anything. And no full length mirrors but the location makes up for that!'
