"Very bad experience at Hotel Viaje Downtown Caïro Upon arrival, we were given an “upgrade,” but the room was completely unfinished: no air conditioning, no wardrobe, and nothing like the photos. The next day we were moved to another room, which was acceptable for the price and location. The staff were friendly though. However, our stay was completely ruined by a serious safety issue. During our stay, several personal items (make-up) went missing from our room. At first, we thought it was a mistake, but it kept happening. This made us feel very unsafe and uncomfortable. We reported this to the manager, who promised an investigation and compensation before our departure. On the day of check-out, he was not there, and after that we never heard from him again. To this day, there has been no response and no resolution. This situation overshadowed and ruined our entire vacation. In addition, the photos of the hotel are misleading, the lift is extremely small, and the building feels unsafe due to poor stairways and abandoned areas. Most of the written reviews also do not match our experience at all — they seem like they were written for a completely different place. Conclusion: friendly staff and good location, but poor rooms, lack of safety, and no proper service. Absolutely not recommended."

"Wij verbleven van 6 t/m 11 april in het Ramses Hilton Cairo en ons verblijf was fantastisch. De kamer was schoon, comfortabel en dagelijks goed verzorgd. Het eten en de drankjes waren uitstekend en al het personeel was vriendelijk en professioneel. We voelden ons overal welkom en veilig, mede dankzij het beveiligingsteam. Een hotel waar gastvrijheid, comfort en service samenkomen. Absoluut een aanrader!"

"Beautiful hotel and rooms overall. Breakfast is outstanding. Very well maintained. In short very good experience. One downside was that, other than we expected in such a high class hotel, some of the cleaning staff used the same manipulation as people outside at the street to ask for money and was even close to harassing my wife every time he saw her. We reported this and hopefully the management will follow this up because for the price we paid this kind of behaviour is unacceptable. Otherwise we should have rated this hotel 5 stars."

"De service was uitstekend. Alles was schoon, netjes en je wordt supergoed behandeld. Je voelt je er gewaardeerd. Wat betreft de kamer: alles was netjes, de kamer is goed geisoleerd en de temperatuur is makkelijk te regelen. De badkamer is een van de weinige verbeterpunten. Die zijn licht verouderd en het duurt erg lang voordat het water uit de douche op gewenste temperaruur is. De restaurants zijn ook goed. Soms best prijzig, maar dat hoort bij de ambiance van het hotel. Kortom, niet veel verbeterpunten. Het was top! "
