Mooi Cambria-huis

Afgelegen, romantisch en ontspannend pension in Cambria, genesteld in de dennen van de monterey van de gewaardeerde Leimert Estates. Dit pension ligt op de kliffen boven Moonstone Beach ten oosten van Highway one. Het huis is een prive en afgelegen een slaapkamer, een badkamer met gastronomische keuken en slaapbank in de woonkamer. De woning is privé omgeven door live oak en monterey pine aan de kust, en toch vindt u een korte wandeling op de boardwalk van Moonstone Beach en het kammen van het zand voor schelpen en maansteen.
Houten vloeren en gezellige cabine zoals interieur bieden alle gemakken van thuis. tv met groot scherm zit boven de mantel boven een gezellige open haard, omringd door lederen slaapbanken. De keuken is volledig gevuld met alles wat u nodig heeft om uw favoriete maaltijden te bereiden. De keuken is uitgerust met gasfornuis en volledig roestvrijstalen koelkast, samen met granieten aanrecht. Er is een overdekt terras aan de achterkant, samen met een gas grill voor u om te genieten van het rustige wilde leven dat voorbij komt (herten en wilde kalkoen) terwijl u luistert naar de verre golven van de oceaan. Het comfortabele kingsize bed van traagschuim samen met premium beddengoed biedt een goede nachtrust.
U zult merken dat deze accommodatie de beste deal is in Cambria vanwege de strakke lijnen, schoonheid en geweldige locatie. Dit prachtige pension ligt dicht bij het strand en dicht bij het schilderachtige en idyllische stadje Cambria en Hearst Castle en biedt toch privacy en afzondering voor een romantisch en ontspannen uitje.

The location was great, as it sits between both Cambria and Hearst Castle. The cottage was everything we hoped for with countless deers walking the property. At night, you could also hear the ocean off in the nearby distance which was relaxing. Definitely recommend this property and will be back again.

We had a wonderful stay at this Cambria cottage! The tree covered property is beautiful and conveniently located, as it is just a few minutes from Moonstone Beach and the town of Cambria. The cottage itself is just awesome. We traveled with our family of four and my parents and were so comfortable in the space. We rented the entire unit and stayed in the upstairs area, while my parents stayed downstairs. We loved having a bit of our own space and my kids greatly appreciated the alcoves in the upstairs area. My husband, who is notorious for nitpicking construction, could not find anything wrong with this place and he and my son have asked multiple times when we can return to live there. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics you may need and there are extra linens if you need them. In addition to the property, Karl is a responsive host. He reached out prior to our arrival and provided all the information we would need to check in and enjoy our stay. If we had any queries, he was very quick to respond. If you are looking for a serene stay just a quick jaunt from town, this is a great choice.

The aesthetics and comfort of the cottage—and its beautiful setting—helped offset the fact that much of the overall stay felt rather underwhelming. The host was not welcoming; while the generic information letter was useful, it lacked any personal touch, and we did not hear from him at all during our stay. I reached out about an ant infestation and did not receive a response until after we had already checked out.The amenities were adequate, but many of the small touches that make a stay more comfortable were missing. It would have been nice to have basic toiletries in the shower, USB outlets, and a functional pullout sofa in the living room. The kitchen had a coffee maker but no filters or coffee, and only salt and pepper were provided—no oil, spray, or other basic cooking staples. Even the ice trays in the freezer were empty.There were also no games, reading material, welcome letter, local recommendations, or phone numbers for nearby services. Overall, while the cottage itself was charming, the lack of thoughtful details and host engagement made the experience less enjoyable than it could have been.

Rooms were clean, and although secluded, you can hear the ocean from the rooms. Host required more choes than other VRBO hosts, including bringing large garbage bins to road and back the next day. Host did not most messages, such as when dryer didn't work. And also when we backed our vehicle into low tree stump left behind guest parking spot.

Couple of things to note:- No frills, not even a soap to shower and the one handwash inside was expired years ago. Some basics are important for this price.- Grill was a mess and uncleaned. Had bugs all over and showed there is no real deep cleaning. This was pretty sad.- Communication with manager was weak as we didnt get response for a long time and it was not helpful.- Maybe i missed it in description, but the upper and lower floor are not connected.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful VRBO in an even more beautiful setting. It's quiet, pleasant, relaxing, so close to the beach and town, we really enjoyed our stay! The ONLY issue we had was what is listed isn't fully accurate. We actually chose this place after originally having reserved another site, because it advertised KING beds in both rooms which would work perfect for two couples. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found out the upstairs, which is very roomy and large, only has a queen bed. There is also no bathtub in bathroom 2 as advertised. Also, no soap or shampoos are provided.Otherwise, this was a lovely place and we'd highly recommend it.

This cottage is beautifully adorned with granite countertops, tile showers, and new furnishings. It’s off of the beach a little bit, but you can hear the waves in the morning. The cottage is nestled in amongst acres of trees. The first morning while we were having coffee, we saw nine deer walk right by us eating acorns. The property has a private gate to enter, and acres and acres to explore. It was really relaxing, not to have neighbors like when you stay in a hotel.

Since I can’t fit all I want to say here are the highlights -This is two SEPARATE one bedroom units. They do not connect from the inside. Do not be mislead like us and lose a bunch of money-The owners house is right next to the cabin and can see directly inside -No soap/shampoo/conditioner -Told to bring trash cans out & back among a long list of other things yet you’re paying a massive cleaning fee-Must squeegee shower doors after every use??We were VERY mislead when booking this property. Traveling with a 1 yr old & looking for a 2 bedroom cabin, so we were shocked to see the setup when we arrived. Since we couldn’t leave our 1 yr old alone in his own unit, we all had to sleep downstairs. That meant my husband & I slept on separate (uncomfortable) pull out couches so our son could sleep in the room. When we told the owner how frustrated we were he told us we could leave that day & be refunded for the next 2 days, so we agreed & quickly booked a new rental. Turns out we were refunded 473 of a 1,317 trip. So we paid 845 to sleep on pull out couches for 1 night. When we confronted the owner he said we’re being refunded for the nights and not the fees. When I explained we would have never been ok with that & agreed to it if we knew how much money we were losing he asked me if I “really thought I would be refunded 2/3 of the trip” &went on to tell me the cleaning fee needed to be paid and he “figured I would have thought that through and weighed my options and stayed.”

Loved this cozy cottage. It was nestled among beautiful trees. We were visited in the morning by mama dear and her babies. They came around most mornings. In the evening the turkeys came by. It was close to shopping, golf and wineries. Moonstone beach is beautiful and very close. I would recommend to my best friends.

Peaceful stay - really enjoyed the separate floors personally to provide added privacy and quiet. The upstairs is very large and can sleep plenty if need be. The location was wonderful - right off Highway 1, but quiet and peaceful property. Only 12 minutes from Hearst Castle and 5 to downtown Cambria and coastal boardwalk. Directions and check-in/out instructions were clear. Really enjoyed our peaceful stay here. Only note of advice - don't rely on anything being provided. The property didn't provide soap or shampoo, so make sure you bring 100% of what you need.

Wonderful stay as always!

We were thrilled to stay at Karl’s cottage and had an amazing time as always! We were able to see deer and turkeys throughout each day and enjoy the tire and tree swings on the property with our kids, and the upstairs is perfect for running and playing when it’s too windy, rainy, or cold. The house is perfectly located near Moonstone Beach, the playground, Fiscalini Ranch, and the town. We look forward to visiting again!

Loved it there!

We loved this property. Its location is perfect - close to the beach, Hearst Castle, cute stores, bars & restaurants. We traveled to Sensorio from there - it was an eaay 35ish minute drive. The home is cozy and has everything you need really. Bring Kuerig coffee pods, or grounds for their small coffee maker. There wasnt any body soap or travel toiletries provided but we managed :)Do note that there are 2 seperate entrances for the main two bedrooms. Both areas are great but they have completely separate entrances. The property is beawith well maintained huge oak trees. We felt very safe & comfortable here and would go back. We had a hiccup with our entry to the property but the owner quickly helped us and all was good! The issue was with VRBO actually, not the owner. Otherwise - everything was great! Thank you Akrl for a greatplace to stay!

Needs a few up-grades

It was very nice but we did have some problems.1.Key safe on front wall very hard to operate; took some time to get open, then it was impossible to put the key back in, I had to leave it not completely secured.2.No grill pan for oven and no instructions on use.3. No instructions on outdoor gas grill, May have been low on gas; the flames were barely there.All the rest of the cabin was very nice .I would visit again if the upgrades and other things were fixed. Thanks Donald and June Grover4.Needs ADA assist for stairs to lower unit and an ADA height toilet.
