In the middle of nowhere
Ik had nogal impulsief geboekt en daarom gedacht dat het hotel korter bij het centrum van Cambridge zou gelegen zijn. Dus de naam Cambridge in de titel is nogal misleidend.

Groot hotel, parking volop, prima verbindingswegen
Je voelt je er snel thuis, ruime kamer met douche en bad, gratis krant, koffiezetten op de kamer, weinig te wensen. Alleen mag wat mij betreft bij het superontbijt het hot food en de koffie ook echt hot zijn.

Great hotel
The Belfry is a very good hotel. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast and good restaurant. Gym, Spa, all very good actually.

The hotel has a good parking lot and friendly staff. I was glad to leave because the house perfume was horrible ,it had a vanilla sent that was to overpowering and invasive ..

The staff were excellent and the room comfortable. Unfortunately we got very little sleep due to a birthday party that we were not warned about with loud music and leavers until 2am. Then the fire alarm malfunctioned at 5:30 am leaving us very tired ahead of a long journey home. An unfortunate set of circumstances but it rather spoiled the visit for us.

We turned up and checked in to a cold room, the bar service was poor, with young people with no care about the service or the food and drinks they were serving, no leadership so they cant be blamed. A heater was put in the room 1 hour before check out.

Unfortunately the room we stayed needs updating . We could not use the pool as very busy with swimming lessons . Book to eat at the restaurant as we were planning to have cocktails . The waiter said they were not serving cocktails which was disappointing for a Friday night. We then saw a group entered the restaurant with cocktails in their hands . We asked the waiter again to confirm and he said yes that’s what he had been told. I then pointed out to him that the group had cocktails . He then came back to say he had got it wrong . So overall not great experience as we decided to eat at the hotel as wanted to have cocktails and have a quiet night .

Good value great stay.
Great stay overall. The junior suite we had as a family room was fantastic. A great layout perfect with separate room for the kids and also enjoyed the spacious spa bath. Especially liked the fact the free mini bar items were included. This made the room feel like good value and the items were much appreciated and a very nice selection for all the family. A mix of beer wine and soft drinks and a reasonable quantity also. The swimming pool was nice if not a little busy as half term. I wasn’t as impressed with the amount of water all around the changing area and the fact the changing area was so cold in comparison to the pool, (small issues only). The staff were all fantastic and we eat a lovely pizza in the bar area and was a nice environment to sit and relax in. Everywhere was nicely clean and in order and we would definatly stay again if visiting the area.

Overall a very pleasant stay, staff were polite and helpful, restaurant food was very good although the service could have been better, we were left for over 20 mins waiting for the bill and although plenty of staff were about seemed poorly coordinated, tables left uncleared etc, the same for the bar which was understaffed. The spa and pool were ok although changing rooms very small and showers were cold with several out of action.

Overall: Very Satisfied and would likely book again and recommend the hotel to friends. Conceirge Staff: Professional, polite and friendly. Rooms: 5 star! Perfect size room. Super comfy bed with clean sheets. I may suggest adding pillows though. Nonetheless, the room was clean and well kept. Restaurant: The Sri Lankan curry was superb! I highly recommend! I asked the staff if they can make the dish mild and not spicy and they delivered perfectly. I enjoyed my dining experience at the hotel. Parking: Safe and convenient.

could have been better for the money.
On arrival the first thing we noticed was the litter all around the entrance and outside by the tables by the pond. It was quite busy and possibly not enough staff to do any tidying/cleaning up. For the cost of the rooms it was very disappointing to have almost no toiletries in bathroom, 1 tiny bottle of shampoo and the same of body wash for 2 people. breakfast Monday morning was a bit of shambles, no crockery, coffee machine not working and seemed like staff hiding in kitchen as they seemed overwhelmed . Spa was nice although pool not very big, but enjoyed the Jacuzzi.

Modern and well kept with efficient check in/out and a great gym too. Bedroom was well appointed and very clean. Unfortunately, the bar was not well supervised and the guys in charge clearly had not been trained. A fridge in the bedroom is great, would have better if had at least one complimentary bottle of water in it. Also, no EV chargers hence environmental has been marked down

Booked for a one night stay. It met our needs in this respect. We did not use the facilities. The service from the breakfast staff was outstanding. There was no air conditioning and room was quite hot on the night we stayed.

Don’t hope to have hot water in the evening!
Nobody on check in when I arrived. There was also a lady waiting to speak to someone too and complained about having no hot water. I found the receptionist at the bar. Checked in fine but then I find out I also have no hot water! Not ideal after a long day working and travelling. Reception couldn’t care less. When I checked out, again they couldn’t care less and didn’t offer any apology never mind anything else. Hotels.com customer service were also useless offering me a tiny credit in USD! We are in the UK! Bed was fine, room was fine. Probably no worse off over the road at the Holiday Inn Express for less money!

Dear Matthew,Our apologies for the lack of hot water, we had been experiencing some issues with the system, doing our upmost to cause as minimal as disruption as possible, I'm sorry the reception team were not as forthcoming with an apology as they could have been,

Positief: Personeel en service
Not overly happy.
The overall stay was ok. Some nice facilities but in poor order. Cleanliness needed to be improved across all areas but in particular the Spa. Many things needing repair in this area. Overall the rooms wS ok but again needs attention as looking tired with wall paper coming off and carpets looking tired and dirty. Poor value for the money i paid. The good thjngs was staff were great and very helpful.

I'm sorry to read of the cleanliness issues raised around the Spa and leisure areas, something i will take up with the team as a matter of priority. We are in the final planning stages of having refurbishments starting around the end of this year.I was however pleased to have read you were well looked after during your time with us.I hope we can welcome you back again,
