Je persoonlijke retraite aan het meer wacht op je in The Far Out Cottage, een charmant studio-appartement in Camdenton voor 6 personen. Met toegang tot een gedeelde bootstrook, 2 dokken, een omheind verwarmd vissersdok, biedt dit stenen stenen huisje aan de oever een onvergetelijke uitje langs Little Niangua Arm, gevoed vanuit het meer van de Ozarks! Sla op water gebaseerde activiteiten over en krijg zicht op de inham van een wandeling bij Jackson Hollow.

Studio: 2 tweepersoonsbedden, tweepersoons slaapbank

Rust begroet u op het moment dat u aankomt bij het kleine stenen huisje dat aan het meer ligt. Binnenin is 'The Far Out Cottage' ontworpen als een studio met 2 slaapgedeeltes gescheiden door een badkamer voor privacy. U vindt er een slaapbank, een elektrische open haard, een goed uitgeruste keuken en zes zonnige ramen - waarvan er 4 uitkijken op het meer.

Buiten biedt het huisje een gedeelde scheepslip, 2 aanlegsteigers, een afgesloten verwarmd vissersdok en een ruim terras met een gemeenschappelijke vuurplaats en zitgedeeltes.

Vroege vogels zullen uitkijken naar een vers gezette kop koffie op de picknicktafel op het grote dek. Wanneer u klaar bent voor avontuur, kunt u direct vanaf de bootstrook een persoonlijke of gehuurde boot nemen of in het water springen voor een verfrissende duik.

Op regenachtige dagen kunt u uw favoriete films bekijken op de flatscreen-tv met satellietzenders. Zonnige dagen nodigen je uit om een barbecue te starten terwijl je kijkt naar de pelikanen, kraanvogels en eenden die rond de kustlijn waggelen.

Als toetje, rooster je marshmallows rond de gemeenschappelijke vuurplaats waar je de lokale bevolking of andere vakantiegangers kunt ontmoeten! Sluit uw avonden af en kijk naar de zonsondergang boven het meer voordat u zich terugtrekt voor een goede nachtrust.

Als u niet ontspant op het dek, moet u de omgeving verkennen met een verscheidenheid aan buitenactiviteiten! Er zijn ook watersportwinkels te vinden, waar u een boot, waterski's en jetski's kunt huren voor plezier in de zomer.

Het Ha Ha Tonka State Park beslaat 3.700 hectare beschermd land en mag niet worden gemist. Wandel naar de beroemde stenen ruïnes van een 20e-eeuws kasteel en leer over de geschiedenis ervan.

Museumbezoekers willen een bezoek brengen aan de Bagnell Dam en de musea van Camden County. Als u op zoek bent naar avondentertainment, bekijk dan de vele nachtclubs, restaurants en de wijnhuizen, waaronder de Golden Rock Winery.

Als u in de buurt bent, maak dan zeker 15 minuten rijden naar het centrum van Camdenton. Ga spelunking in Bridal Cave, plons in Big Surf Waterpark of maak een foto met Natural Bridge in Arikok National Park.

Weekend away

It was the perfect little get away for my 2 best friends and myself! It was cozy and peaceful! There was a power outage when we arrived from a storm, I contacted the property manager who was unaware but she kept me updated on the situation and even checked in to make sure when it came back on we were okay! The neighbors were also VERY friendly and were the ones who informed us about the outage and kept us informed as well. We were close to town but not to close! It was a very peaceful experience and a perfect view of the lake! Would definitely recommend and would come back again!

The place was exactly as described cozy. It was very quiet, peaceful, and serine. The view of the lake was beautiful and sitting on the fish house deck on the water was so relaxing, i wish i could do it every morning. I would definitely stay again.

Quaint little cottage

Not a bad little place. It’s lakeside but built further back from the water than the two houses on either side so you don’t get a fully unobstructed view of the water. Still nice enough view though and the included citronella candles came in real handy for the bugs. Communication back and forth with the owner a little bit slow but didn’t cause any major hiccups. One thing that could be made clearer is which docks you actually have access to. They’re not designated on a map anywhere so the first dock we tried walking down to that seemed most direct from the cabin to the water turned out to be the neighbor’s dock and we got chased off of it by the neighbor informing us we were trespassing. Hadn’t heard back from the owner yet so we found a guy a few doors down that pointed us in the right direction. Overall the place isn’t bad but with some minor changes it could be improved easily. An electric keycode door lock would be an inexpensive and great improvement. We kept fumbling with the old school realtor style hanging lock box to access the cottage keys when we first arrived. First code wasn’t working and we weren’t sure if it was us or the lock. Found a second code and it worked. Not a big deal just sort of frustrating upon arrival. The place shares a charcoal grill with another cabin. The grill needs replaced. Falling apart. The cabin itself had all of the amenities we needed to make it through the weekend. Would stay here again if we came back to the area.

Overall, it was a fine place. Being in the woods, you will fight bugs and they were able to get in to the little cabin around the door, the air conditioner, etc. The deck was amazing, but there must have been a bad storm shortly before we arrived as the deck had not been swept, and everything was covered in debris

Stayed here while in the area for a wedding. Great fishing dock, it was a little to early in the spring to catch much but still had a great time. Bring supplies for Mosquitos and bugs... it is on the lake after all. Overall great relaxing stay.

This was the first stop on our trip and we did have a good time however we left with bed bug bites all over us. Needless to say I would never go here again. The outside could have been cleaned up also for us to enjoy the out side but was not. Not a happy customer that’s for sure.

Far Out Cottage

Cabin was in nice location, comfortable and clean. Power out when we arrived, left message for assistance with no return call. We figured it out and had power up and running. Cabin not winterized, so we had to cover window AC unit and gaps in windows. Kitchen sink had a good leak, texted to have fixed, but no response. We bought some buckets to use. Overall a nice stay, just frustrated with lack of response to calls/texts.

Not the best place we have stayed

Unfortunately the property was not quite as it was described. We encountered bugs including a cockroach during our stay. The sink and/or toilet leaked so the bathroom floor was always wet. Once we pretended we were camping instead of staying in a "resort" we did fine. Thankfully lots do to outside so we mainly used the cabin for sleeping. The air conditioner did work really well which was a plus for the extremely hot weekend.

The cottage was just as described, super cute. I would add a map of the docks, boat ramp and be more clear as to where to park. We brought our boat and got lucky because the cottages next to us were vacant, so parking worked out. Also, the heated boat dock was locked and we did not have the code. The sign said it was for residents as well as paying customers. That would have been fun to utilize while we were there. I would also recommend that the mattress on the bed by the door be replaced. There was a significant dip in the middle. All in all, the view is beautiful, location is great and the shower is hot!! Good times!!

Cozy Cabin

Great spot on a beautiful lake, so relaxing to spend time on the deck, although the neighboring cabins are all pretty close. There was no running water for the first night and half of the second day, but the owner was courteous and communicative and had a plumber sent out as soon as she could. Overall a cozy spot with great views to spend a couple of days.

Upfront the deck view is amazing and was exactly the reason we stayed here. Gorgeous views, friendly wildlife, and relaxation galore. The plastic Adirondack chairs were comfy, but cracking. The shower was hot with great water pressure. The beds transferred movement from one partner to the other and I would recommend bringing your own pillows. Simple check in, decent WiFi, and even satellite TV....although really you should be out enjoying the view. Light switches were a bit hidden and we had buy our own hand soap, but Wal-Mart was just down the road. We cooked each day with the provided equipment and it was fine. Judging from the pictures, versus the in person experience, this basic is being upgraded a little at a time. We look forward to our next stay.

Great Place!

Stocked and clean. Proximity to the lake was awesome! Loved the fishing dock and launched my son’s kayak from the boat ramp. Tiny but perfect and affordable for just my son and I.

Far Out Cottage

When we got to the property the dock wasn’t easy for us to get to. It was down a large hill so if you have kids you need to be careful getting down. There was no ladder on the dock so you can’t get out of the water. The pictures on the site weren’t accurate with everything. We had numerous ants that ate a lot of stuff we purchased. There were several mosquitoes and bugs in the cabin & when we contacted the property manager, she said “go to dollar general and get bug spray”. There were not enough towels for our family & the floors were dirty and gritty. We had to wear our shoes the time in the house so we didn’t get our feet dirty. The property manager was not helpful because she was 2 hours away and couldn’t help us. The beds were dirty when we slept in them. The coffee maker didn’t work and she advised us to make instant coffee so we had to go to a local store to get coffee. We loved the Ozarks but wouldn’t stay here again.

Perfect getaway!!!

I booked this cottage for a weekend getaway to celebrate my daughters 11th birthday. My expectations were far excited! Check-in was a breeze once I figured out how to open the lock box for the key lol. Our place was clean and fully stocked with anything we may need (except food, which we brought), even Clorox wipes! Our deck had the perfect view and we enjoyed watching the sunsets and playing Jenga (there were a bunch of games in the room!) A fishing dock and a swimming dock were right outside and very convenient. I highly recommend the Far Out Cottage to anyone looking for the perfect lake experience!

Very peaceful

The courage had amazing views. The deck is stunning as it over looks the lake. Gerrie-Ellen is an excellent host. She was very informative and thoughtful. We can't wait to visit again with our boys 😊 definitely manageable for a couple and two children. The driveway to the entry way of this cottage is definitely handicapped accessible in e athe for Walker or cane use.

The docks are amazing! We loved it. So relaxing and the perfect place for a get away. So quiet and beautiful. Had a couple run ins with spiders inside, but they were quickly removed. :) all in all, we loved it!!
