Initially, I was a little concerned that the cottage was so close to the host's main house, but once we settled in, we might as well have been in the middle of nowhere - it felt totally private and secluded. 'We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was nicely decorated and very clean. We had what we needed to cook and be comfortable there. The back yard was so beautiful and we enjoyed relaxing on the deck. There was lots of wild life surrounding the lake - we even observed a Bald Eagle - the provided binoculars helped too. We were close to the Ohio to Erie bike path and enjoyed riding bikes into Akron. The host communicated well and we had a very relaxing time.'

I’m not sure what the previous renters on the reviews are referring too but the neighborhood was fine! Also safe! Neighbors where nice and the empty lots across the street and beside the house gave added privacy which I loved! There where waters and and some staples in the fridge. 'Overall we had a wonderful stay - rooms were comfortable, kids enjoyed the pool, and the staff were top notch in all regards. The reason I deducted a star is because the bathroom doors in the room do not lock. Not only that, the are sliding doors that maintain a decent size gap between the door and the wall that allows you to see into the bathroom. Just off putting and was the only negative of an otherwise great stay. '
