'Owner was very nice and stayed late to check us in. I will be honest and say we did not feel safe at this location. The room itself was clean and basic. We were only there 12 hours. Area and ppl around it were sketchy and questionable. It is close to the beach, def a walk but not hard. We would not stay here again. Traveled with husband and 2 kiddos and was happy to leave. No amenities at all.'

'The bed was clean and comfortable. My room was on the back side of the motel and quiet. As it turns out, the previous occupants wet wash cloth was hanging on the shower head. Several areas had hair (not mine) and a few dead bugs on the bench. Other than that, it was a good price for the room.'

'Overall, a great place and Astoria is charming. Be prepared for rooms without air conditioning though. The sea lion barking on sure was incredibly and the location makes it walkable to good restaurants. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.'

The staff is friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself could use some updating. If you like boxy, chain hotels that are cookie cutter from town to town, this is not the hotel for you.
