'Staff was very helpful and room looked good for the price '

'Lady at the desk refused my reservation saying she told them she wasn't doing the online reservations anymore. repeatedly. Stayed anyways as I needed a room. Room smelled a little odd, not bad, but something scented for cleaning? and towels and toilet paper were low grade and no shampoo or conditioner, just a single soap bar in the bathroom.'

'I thought the concept of individual cozy cottages was great. Everything was so neat and tidy. The decor of the cottage was just adorable, and the pool/fire pit area was just as clean and welcoming. I sent pictures and videos to my friends and highly recommend this property!'

'I stayed one night with my children for a basketball tournament. The check in process was not bad. I have a pet peeve that when I hand you something in your hand, I expect you to hand the item back to me in my hand and the person checking me in placed my items on the desk. That is so rude. Other than that the staff were ok. The tv in the room did not work throughout my stay. They sent someone to fix it but it never got fixed. I guess they expect people to spend most of the time on the boardwalk...

'Spent one night in wildwood hotel was close to everything. Various reastuarants close by and beach two blocks away.'

'Couples weekend. Perfect for us. Oceanfront room. Room was clean. Bathroom was weird. Very small. Approx.6” step-up to get into it. Tub was small. Location was great. 2 blocks from start of boardwalk. Bike rental Nextdoor. Beach entrance across street, and a boardwalk out to ocean to sit or eat lunch. Will visit again.'

'Beautiful place... We went for our anniversary trip, Very peaceful and had all you needed. Staff was very friendly and nice. Other guests were friendly as well. Pretty clean and tidy. I would stay again!'

'Room is small with no phone, No pool on property. service is bad. I needed towels, which i asked for a number of times, It was left on a chair outside my door later in the day. When i left on my last day i forgot my power plug for my computer and I called the office and was told no one is around and they can't go in the room. I asked office manager to knock on the door, and she said it was not there.'

'Location was great. Staff was great and helpful. Didn't like that there were ashtrays everywhere. But would stay again because of location.'

'On arrival our first room had dirty sheets so we asked to be moved. The second room has filth floors so we asked for them to be cleaned. We came back to the room after they "serviced" it, it only took a few minutes for all of our socks to be black on the bottom. The room was damp the whole time because the AC units are inefficient. The "clean" linens are kept outside on a cart with a tarp over them in the humid beach air.'

'Do not stay at this hotel. The pictures online are old pictures when someone else owned it and it was nice! Does not look the same. Property is dirty. Shower drips all day no matter how hard you turn the old, rusted handles. Outdated and small bathroom. Tiny. Not very clean. There was a long piece of hair on my shower wall. TV didn't work, had them come in, she clicked her remote and left, it still didn't work. Ice machine stopped working on our third day there. Our first room was a corner...

'The room was VERY small. The queen sized bed took up 90% of the room. There was no night stand or end table. No carpeting, which was probably not the worst idea, as the shower water creeped out into the main room. Only two bath towels, no hand towels or washcloths. No cups or ice bucket for ice. The parking was terrible.'

'There was a housekeeper but she didn’t clean out room during our stay. I went to the front to ask for towels and the lady at the front said she’d text the housekeeper but we didn’t get our towels. The day before else left (6 day stay) we finally tracked down the housekeeper for towels. When you look into the laundry room and housekeepers area, there were PILES of dirty towels and bedding. I noticed later that they covered it with a sheet. The room was so small my son was able to open the fridge...

'The Tropicana has been my go to hotel for many years, It's so close to the Boardwalk and I've never had a problem. Easy to book reservations on the Internet and the front desk/receptionist is always pleasant to deal with. There have been many updates to rooms over the years. One minor suggestion is to put a small shelf in the shower. Since there aren't bathtubs anymore, there are no places to put shampoo, conditioner, shower gels, etc. I think a self adhesive shelf could be easity attached...
