Hi Jacqueline, We pride ourselves on prompt and friendly responsiveness and encourage our guests to let us know if they have any concerns and questions before, during and after a stay - and also on the cleanliness our property! So, with that in mind, in terms of responsiveness - we actually reached out proactively and honestly let you know about the pool and did get the pool cover on before you arrived. Looking at the text and phone string - we did respond very quickly on this matter and you were aware (within 30 minutes) As far as we knew, this had been resolved with you! As far as cleanliness, we - and our professional cleaner - are very fanatical and dedicated about cleaning, and in fact had walked through before your arrival and did not see any of the issues you mentioned. We ask guests to call us right away when checking in if there are any issues - and on the rare occasion when things are not 100% - we urgently work to get things addressed. But, this case - we did not hear from you during your stay, and reading about it after the fact online - were not able to address your concerns. We wish you had let us know about your cleaning concerns when you arrived! As far as being open during the "off season" we have had hundreds of guests at all times of the year, the house has been clean and prepared, and reviews have been excellent. Sincerely, Jim & Patti
