Clean and new but noisy
This hotel looks rather new and occupies 3 floors of an appartment/office building. The rooms are a good size and have a nice bathroom. As always there is little room to store your clothes (no closets at all, only 2 shelves). The car parking is free, which is really nice. Our room on the first floor on the side of Strand was getting a lot of street noise. Also at about 4am every day we were woken up by the prayer call of a mosque nearby, which was annoying. So I would try to request a room away from the Strand side. The breakfast is in the bar/restaurant on the top floor that has spectacular views of both Cape Town and Table Mountain. The staff is very friendly. The 'pool' is also on the rooftop but it is very small and doesn't really invite to use it, which is a pity. Overal I would recommend this hotel for a city trip or business trip, but if you're also looking for a place to relax by the pool, then I think you might be able to do better

Loved everything! Recommendable place to stay.
The location, just at the best neighbourhood of the city: Waterkant. For people that do not know Cape Town, CBD / City Center is just not a nice area to stay at. Waterkant, just next to CBD / City Center has lots of nice shops, restaurants, is very safe. The hotel has stunning views on mainly Lion's Head and Signal Hill, has a great design, and has been well maintained throughout the last 3 years, hardly signs of wear and tear. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom modern and clean (hand shower would have been nice though - but that is just a detail in the whole thing). Take the elevator up and you arrive at a bar/restaurant with the most amazing views on Cape Town, take the elevator down and there is a steak house (very good Chateau Briand for 2), and a sushi place (called Active Sushi). Aircon worked (hurray, if one just came from a place where the aircon was not working), staff is friendly and professional. They have their own private covered parking, in case you have rented a car. But back to the hotel: the rooms are nice and spacious, the lighting schemes that can be choosen are perfect and I cannot make ANY bad comments. A very happy guest here! Recommendable place to stay.

Heerlijke relax sfeer van het hotel.
Goede parking (al denk ik wel dat meer plaatsen mogen voorzien worden in de toekomst). Aangenaam, vriendelijk en goed personeel. Wifi aanwezig en werkt goed. Kamer (klein appartement) ondanks enkele technische (vaak grappige) kleine foutjes zeer goed. Toerist informatie is aanwezig doch niet allemaal zichtbaar, je moet er naar vragen. Ontbijt is OK doch het oogt wat mager alsof er weinig te eten valt. (Het oog wil ook wat)

Voor business en CTICC zeer gd gelegen.
Upcoming area. Zeer gde restau's in de buurt. Zeer dichtbij Waterfront. Alleen buitenlopen in omgeving niet aan te raden (geldt voor heel CT). Kamers zijn prachtig en volledig ingericht met keuken en wasmachine en droogkast. Geen kinderbedden mogelijk (minpunt).

Perfecte locatie en heerlijk rooftop bar!
Het hotel is nog zeer nieuw en heeft een goede centrale ligging. Ook de bedden zijn heerlijk. Op de bovenste verdieping zit een goede rooftop bar! Absoluut de moeite waard om te boeken!

Capital Mirage in Cape Town is such a beautiful, friendly, clean, spacious hotel! Our room has everything we need! The location is great, central, close to many attractions and restaurants and shops! Our room has the gorgeous view of the famous Table Mountain! The hotel has great restaurants as well. We are extremely happy and grateful to stay in this hotel. The best part is the people here are super friendly and supportive! Such as Mimi and Jennifer. Of course there is Nobafundi, she is the manager of capital mirage hotel ! She is highly competent and helpful. All the employees are working hard to take care of the guests here. We want people who are in charge to acknowledge and recognize their hard work and dedications to the hotel! We felt very welcomed! We will definitely come back in the future! Cape Town has our hearts and the stunning beauty of this city and the people here made our time unforgettable and special! Thank you!

The staff were fantastic and helped us with many aspects of our travel. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. The Cattle Baron restaurant was great. We didn’t eat at the rooftop restaurant, but we did see the view, and it was beautiful. We will stay in this hotel next time in Cape Town!

Excellent in every way
Excellent, friendly staff and the most beautiful suite with a huge balcony. Great breakfast options just across the road (both were fab) and well located if you don’t mind a 20 minute easy walk to the waterfront. Alternatively Uber is simple to use all over the city and very reasonable. Highly recommend the Capital Mirage!

Helt OK men inte 4 eller 5*
Har varit många gånger på Capital Mirage. Tyckte om det pga spektakulära utsikt på frukosten på taktterassen. Men numera har de slutat med det. För frukost hänvisas man till en coffeshop på andra sidan gatan. Poolen på takterassen var en grön soppa och stängt. Och ingen annan pool finns. Synd, men vi kommer att inte komma tillbaka.

L'accueil est excellent et le personnel très professionnel. le chauffeur de la navette connaît tous les coins sécurisé et formidable et le service de sécurité va au-delà des ses prérogative pour vous aider à vous sentir à l'aise. Le personnel depuis la réception au équipes de nettoyage sont aussi très professionnel. Très appréciable

Booked last minute using hotels.com be sure to triple check booking as this 3rd party website changed the booking and reservations are non-refundable. Front desk staff was exceptionally helpful and accommodating throughout entire stay. Rooms were clean, a little odorous if you turned off the AC for long periods. Luxury king suite came with everything you would need. Bed was comfortable, daily clean linens If requested. Free shuttle to v&a waterfront. Easy access to popular areas. Highly recommend this boutique hotel.

Very warm welcome from reception, very clean and beautiful room. However I especially booked this hotel for my last two days in Cape Town to enjoy the swimming pool but it's actually NOT part of the hotel and it is not really used. So disappointing. It's part of a bar / restaurant and I looked stupid when I came up with my towel. The swimming pool wasn't cleaned but I was still welcome to use it.

WORSE HOTEL FOR SLEEPING, GREAT SERVICE AND LOCATION
GREAT LOCATION, GREAT HOTEL, WORSE PLACE WHERE TO SLEEP. UNACCEPTABLE THAT SUCH A 5 STARS HOTEL BUILT SICH CHEAP WINDOWS. YOU LITERALLY HEAR EVERY SINGLE SOUND FROM THE STREET. FROM THE GUYS SCREAMING ON SAT NIGHT TO THE MANY CONSTRUCTION WORKS ALL AROUND. NOT TO MENTION THE LOUD SPEAKER PRAYER FROM A MOSQUE NEARBY AT 4 AM EVERY SINGLE NIGHT OF OCTOBER. WE STAYED 10 NIGHTS. HALF OF THE REASON YOU BOOK SUCH AN HOTEL IS QUIET ALL AROUND. IT MAKES NO SENSE TO HAVE NOISELESS ROOMS FROM THE INSIDE IF YOU BUILD SUCH CHEAP WINDOWS FOR THE OUTSIDE. HOW FOOLISH. THE HOTEL IS GREAT, BUT GIVING THE WORSE SLEEP CONDITIONS TO A CUSTOMER IS NOT A DETAIL.

They gave us wet towels which was so peculiar The rooms were not cleaned daily We had to tell them when to clean, if we do not they just spread the bed with the same sheets and leave No change of beddings Worst hotel ever Breakfast was pathetic... minimal choice of what to eat...
