Family Fun!
Well equipped comfortable home on beautiful Captiva island. We loved the proximity to beach with gorgeous sunsets as well as local restaurants and shops. Well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. Pool and grill area is lovely. Owners are quick to respond and answer any questions. Highly recommend!!!

Beautiful beach home and great walk to beach!
The home is amazing! Beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we could need. Beach towels, coolers, cornhole, sand toys, wagons for hauling, a beautiful outdoor screened pool/deck were all part of our VRBO. The owner was wonderfully communicative and the cleaning service were superb. We had never been to Captiva and the lazy stroll down the sand covered quiet Laika Lane brought back memories of living in Hawaii as a young child. The beach was beautiful with soft sand and constantly visited by diving pelicans, seagulls and sandpipers. The dolphins were constant companions as well with pod after pod swimming and jumping nearby. A quick walk to quaint shops, eateries and a small grocery store were an added bonus. We didn't have to drive anywhere!

A great home away from home
This was a perfect home away from home. This trip was the first time bringing together two families and the house was perfect for that. The upstairs felt like a completely separate unit which was perfect for what we needed. Also I have three children under 4 and there were pack and plays and even a monitor to keep an eye on them while they were napping. This house came with it all. Thanks Karen!

This is a gem of a property. Located walking distance from Captiva center on a lovely street near the beach. Beautiful house and lovely host. We had the grandparents who slept in the master suite. One family of four in the room with two beds. The other family shared the other two rooms because you have to walk through the bedroom with the kitchen to get to the other bedroom with a king/queen. Each group had their own private bathroom. The main space was lovely, kitchen fully equipped and the pool was delightful. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house with pool in downtown Captiva , close to beach , restaurants and stores. Every thing you could need or want . House clean and well stocked for with all the stuff you need for a great beach vacation…..beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach toys, pool toys, boogie boards, shell nets , wagons etc . House well stocked with all the kitchen and cooking supplies you would need. Games and puzzles and books for rainy days . Would highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful quiet get away
My husband and I were looking for a quiet get away. Captiva is not for those looking for hustle and bustle. The house was lovely, clean and well-stocked. The pool was also really nice to refresh in at the end of the day. The kitchen was perfect size for the two of us cooking and we appreciated some of the items the previous renters or Karen had left for us since some items can be a little pricey to purchase on the island. Karen is great to communicate with, responsive and caring...she even went out of her way to ship us a new beach bag when we we could not locate one in the house. We will be back...thank you Karen!

Fabulous Property!
Our stay at the property was absolutely perfect! Karen was an amazing host and helped answer all of your questions before arriving and made great recommendations for transportation and groceries! We did not rent a car or golf cart and found the property to have the perfect location! A short walk to the beach and the Mucky Duck to watch the sunset. Also a quick walk to the Tuesday Farmers Market (the BBQ food truck is a MUST!) and Doc Fords. The house had everything we needed for the beach with lots of beach towels, chairs, umbrellas etc! And the pool was nice and warm! Very clean and comfortable beds! Thank you for being a great host and for the hospitality!

Enjoyed house with lots of room in living and family room. Had our coffee every morning on the rooftop deck. Hung out by pool. Walked to beach almost every day to relax. Can easily walk to Mucky Duck for lunch. Walked to groceries and Doc Ford and great outdoor market on Tuesday am in Doc Ford parking lot. Got fresh fish to grill. Worked out perfectly for our family.

Nice stay, could use some updating
Overall we enjoyed our stay at this property, the location was great and we had everything we needed. Some of the amenities are in need of updating (the living room tv speaker buzzes, the gas grill is on it's last legs and had to be lit with a lighter rather than the internal lighter, pots & pans are worn). The pool was functional but had sand in the bottom and did not seem well filtered so I would recommend the owners address those concerns.

It was very easy to rent and all amenities were as listed. Karen was very kind and always responded to emails and text messages. The house was super clean with COVID being still an issue. We never felt like we had to worry even with having a very susceptible teen with us for the trip! We love Captiva and will return!

Love the house in the heart of the Village on Captive. It's a short walk to the beach with no roads to cross. It's also a short walk to Andy Rosse Lane where there are great places to eat like the Bubble Room, Key Lime Bistro, RC Otters, Mucky Duck, etc... The Island Store was under renovation, and Sunrise Seafood was closed, which was a disappointment, but that's really got nothing to do with Captiva Villa. It's a great house in a great location (love the pool!) . It was actually our second time staying there. I hope visit again!

Couldn't have been happier with our stay. We had 4x adults and 2x kids and there was plenty of room for us all to enjoy time together and apart. The owners allowed us to pack lightly by providing a pack and play for our 2 y/o along with several beach chairs/towels/umbrellas. The heated pool also allowed for our kids to enjoy days where the weather was cool. The location can't be beat either... in the center of Captiva and within walking distance of all of the restaurants/shops/beaches. Overall a great stay and would definitely recommend!

We had a great stay! Karen was very friendly, kind, and easy to communicate with. We loved being able to walk to the beach without crossing the road and also walk to restaurants, boat rentals, and activities. The screened pool was the prefect temperature and a great balance to the beach with a little more shade/protection. Karen had tons of beach equipment for the kids to use. She also had toys for the kids inside. What a great place for our family (6 adults, a 6 year old, and two 3 year olds) to stay! Thanks Karen!!

Captiva Family Vacation
This house works well for a family gathering. We had 7 adults and one toddler. The space worked very well for all. The house was very well stocked with just about everything you would want. Karen was extremely responsive to our needs and this is one of the main reasons I would recommend this particular property. It is a little bit of a walk to the beach but the owner provides beach wagons and carts which makes it an easy walk. We had previously stayed multiple times on Sanibel and really enjoyed staying on Captiva. It was very nice to be able to walk to restaurants, convenience store and even Starbucks. We will definitely stay on Captiva again.

Wonderful Stay
We had a great time at this Captiva house. Very quiet and private location but very close to beach and restaurants that Captiva has to offer. House was spotless on our arrival, without even a grain of sand anywhere in the house. Pool was heated and perfect, our kids were swimming even the air temperature was in the low 60's. Tons of beach toys, beach chairs (15+), umbrellas (3) wagons (2), blow up toys (several), boogie boards. Beds were comfy and private. Kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils you could need. Kuerig was a nice bonus. We did get hit with red tide for about 2-3 days we were there, which limited the time we were at the beach, but we all preferred the pool anyway. Would recommend.

Wonderful beach house, spacious and nice layout for multiple families (two bedrooms on first floor, two on second floor). House was clean and stocked full of everything you would want -- from beach toys, shovels, 10+ beach chairs, umbrellas, shell scoops, body boards (we left 2 brand new ones as of 10/25), noodles/floats for the pool, games for kids/adults, DVDs, grill, kitchen items (s&p, oil, sugar, filters, etc). I don't know why more rentals don't leave all these items for next guests to use -- it's so wonderful! Sunscreen, aloe, 8+ beach towels, etc -- you name it, and it was available. Nothing more frustrating than having to run to the store to get some basics, so we love a house like that. Pool was very warm and kids loved it. There are security locks on both sliding door and basement door to pool which we appreciated having small children. Two nice bathtubs to bathe children too. The kitchen is a little small, but there are so many wonderful restaurants in Captiva, who wants to be cooking in much anyway. The only things that need to be updated is the Master Comforter (just older/thin - but beds are all very comfortable) and older Televisions but Karen said they are likely doing newer TV's in the near future, so don't use that as a deterrent. The beach is a short walk down a quiet gravel road, and a short walk from restaurants. We had a car but renting a golf carts was equally fun (we did a 1 hour boat ride at Jepsens and did JetSkis in walking distance from house and saw Pods of Dolphins!). Red Tide showed its face for <2 days, but then was gone and the water was pristine and perfect. This house is a prime location in Captiva, quiet road but close to everything. We highly recommend it and Karen was responsive to everything we needed. WONDERFUL RENTAL!

A delightful place to stay on Captiva!
We all had a great time together here. There was enough privacy (beds, bathrooms) and we enjoyed the comfortable living & dining areas together. The heated pool & the grill were simply marvelous, although we spent most of our time at the beach of course. Walking the peaceful pathway to that beach was a joy. Driving to marinas & Ding Darling Refuge for adventures was easy. Cooking was great due to lots of supplies including nice pots & pans. Thankyous especially go to owner Karen, for being an excellent communicator & cheerfully making sure all was well. We hope to rent this house again!

Home away from home
We loved our stay here, it truly felt like our home away from home! Little touches throughout the house, comfortable furnishings, plenty of space, awesome A/C, absolutely wonderful. Our boys loved having their own 'wing' of the house in their room with two queen beds, and every morning were up and out to walk (two minutes) to Island Store or the other way (four minutes) to the beach. We spent a ton of time down by the pool, playing games in the pool and hanging out grilling and talking. We do plenty of traveling for work and much prefer the homey feel of Karen's home for our family vacation versus a hotel/resort feel in other places. Could not have asked for a more beautiful, or more convenient, place to stay, and Karen is a wonderful host!!

Captiva Revisit
Our family has not been to Captiva in 10 years and we chose an excellent rental for our return. There was only a short walk to the beach and to all of the local restaurants. The pool and lower patio were great for relaxing after the hot sun at the beach. The house is appointed nicely with plenty of room for all nine of us which made the week enjoyable for all. We all recommend Captiva Villa and plan on staying there again.

Perfect Family Accommodations
We chose this property for a family celebration, and it was perfect. There was plenty of room for all of us, including our aging dog. When we weren’t walking the beach to look for shells, we were in and around the pool. I have been renting vacation homes for over ten years, and I have never stayed in one that had a better equipped kitchen. Everything you could possibly need was there, although we only used it for coffee and snacks because the house is so close to all of the restaurants. The beach is a short walk down the lane, the water was clean and warm enough to walk straight in. We saw dolphins every day, and beautiful sunsets each evening. Captiva is a perfect, quiet beach vacation, and the Villa is the perfect place to stay.
