'We had a lovely, short stay at Finca Barlovento. The property is beautiful, the atmosphere is restful and the overall feeling is very private and low-key, with a high level of service.
The staff was very conscientious and accommodating. Rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Food offerings are good, though somewhat limited, but we were only there for a couple of days so this was not really an issue. 'Prachtig hotel, mooi gelegen aan het strand circa 14 km buiten het centrum van Santa Marta. Top service, vriendelijk personeel en geweldig ontbijt. Alleen in de directe omgeving van het hotel is niets. Overal heb je een taxi voor nodig.'

'This place is the most beautiful place on earth I've ever been. On one side the beautiful ocean and on the other the middle of the jungle, with a river where we've seen alligators, and where swimming was therefore not allowed. The cabañas are gorgeous, with a lot of beautiful views. There are outdoors patios with hammocks and sunbeds and everything is meticulously kept and very clean.
The service in this hotel is also exceptional and the staff super friendly.

'Heerlijk relaxed verblijf gehad met een ruime kamer (iets grotere dan de standaard), goede keuken, fijne sfeer rond het zwembad. Personeel is attent en vriendelijk en verzorgd de klanten opeen goede manier.
