Een weg minder gereisd hoog in de Colorado Rockies

  • Meek's Hill Cabin in Marble, Colorado ligt op een hoogte van 8000 voet te midden van koele, torenhoge dennen, met uitzicht op 13.000 voet pieken. Herten dwalen vaak door het pand en er is zelfs bekend dat beren op de deur kloppen. Feisty kolibries strijden om hun aandeel nectar uit de feeder. De natuur staat letterlijk voor de deur! Aangezien er geen lichtvervuiling is in deze kleine gemeenschap, zal de sterrenhemel je verbazen! Daarnaast heb je alle comfort van een luxe appartement. Onze hut is gemakkelijk bereikbaar maar verwijderd van treinen, vliegtuigen en snelwegen. Vierwielaandrijving is niet nodig.

    Marmer, een zeer kleine gemeenschap, is een geweldige centrale locatie voor het verkennen van de prachtige plekken in West-Colorado. Binnen twee uur rijden kunt u de boomgaarden en wijngaarden van Paonia bezoeken, de prachtige Black Canyon van de Gunnison River, het Colorado National Monument in Grand Junction, de Roaring Fork River-vallei en Aspen, Independence Pass en de Snowmass Wilderness. Het beste van alles, onze eigen Crystal River Valley.

    Als u op zoek bent naar de perfecte plek om de natuur op zijn best te ervaren, IS Meek's Hill Cabin IS de perfecte plek! Sorry, we kunnen geen dirt bikes of ATV's herbergen. Wij zijn gesloten voor het jachtseizoen.

This was great get away cabin nestled in the pine trees in a nice little friendly mountain town. The cabin was very nice and quiet and we were able to bring our precious Boston Terrier. The hosts were friendly and had helpful hints of some spots to go visit. We saw lots of wildlife in this area including a moose, bear, and a female big horned sheep up in the rocks. Would recommend.

This is a charming and quaint cabin and setting in the Town of Marble. It deserves its rating of 10 on all counts. It is cozy with fabulous views. We watched storms on the mountain. Played a sunny game of golf nearby. The hummingbirds were relentlessly fabulous. It was a wonderful place to spend our golden anniversary.

Lovely Home

Staying at the Meek’s Hill Cabin was one of our favorite stays. Home provided a secluded location with everything we needed for a relaxed stay. The bed was so comfortable and the linens were very very nice. We definitely hope to return

We stayed here for about a week this summer. We Iike to visit Colorado and get out of the Texas heat. The cabin was great! This was our first time to Marble Colorado. It was in a great location, and other than a few Atv’s and Utv’s…it was very peaceful. We loved the lake and river and the ease of getting to and from places. Tom and Kay were very pleasant and we had zero issues! We’d love to visit again in the future! Highly recommend the Cabin! Thanks again!

Marble Relaxation

Great cabin very well appointed with all accessories needed for a nice stay. Private, quiet and of course close to everything in Marble. Nice restaurant in town and great hikes and drives nearby. Great hosts with good suggestions for hiking and activities nearby. Definitely will plan to stay again.

Wonderful Cabin

We absolutely love this cabin! It was our 2nd visit, and we enjoyed it even more than the first time. Marble is a beautiful little town and is like Old Colorado. If you like getting away from everything, you’ll love this place!

Marble Paradise

The cabin was exquisite. Well stocked, comfy, and a beautiful deck complete with flowers and a marvelous view. A serene home away from home! Tom and Kay are welcoming, dog-friendly and delightful hosts. Definitely a place on our list of “must go to again”.

Wonderful Mountain Retreat

This was a truly amazing property in a beautiful area that hasn’t been over-developed! Gorgeous front porch overlooking the mountains, comfortable beds, fully functional kitchen with all the amenities! Hope we have the opportunity to return.

Absolutely gorgeous cabin in a centrally located area of Marble,CO. Near a wonderful BBQ restaurant and historic marble quarry. Beautiful views of White House mountain from the deck and nicely appointed with all the necessary details covered. Wonderful linens, towels, soaps and shampoo selection. Dog friendly with a nice fenced in area at the back of the cabin. We will absolutely be back! The hosts are amazing!

Cute cabin in the mountains

Great location to experience all that Marble has to offer. Tom and Kay are in another house on the property and are a wealth of knowledge on the area. The cabin is clean comfortable and has everything you need for a fun stay. Private with a great view and abundant wildlife including deer Fox and frequent visits from a black bear.

Breathtaking and Beautiful

If you are looking for a place to get away and see nature, this is the place. The cabin is beautiful surrounded by mountains. The location is in the little town of Marble Colorado complete with a great BBQ restaurant and a short walk to the Crystal River. Bring food to cook as it's a way to a grocery store. Pet friendly is a plus.

Great Experience

This rental home was terrific. It offers a beautiful mountain view and a fenced backyard that is an exploratory delight for dogs. The furnishings and bed were comfortable and we had all we needed and more regarding kitchenware. It is uncommon for us to revisit vacation destinations but we are interested in returning here for a longer stay. The hosts were ideal -- attentive, responsive and knowledgable about the area's offerings.

5 Star Experience

We travel extensively and were totally pleased with our visit here. The view is exceptional, the cabin is spotless and surrounded by lovely flowers and hummingbirds, and the interior makes you feel like you are at home with beautiful decor and comfy furniture. The cabin is fully equipped with luxury linens and everything you need to prepare meals. The hosts are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about Marble and the surrounding area. Our week flew by and we enjoyed every moment.

Beauty and tranquility

This beautiful home in the mountains was way more than we expected!! Marble is such a beautiful little town! Our hosts were so helpful in things to do around the area and attentive to every little detail in the house. The deck overlooking the mountain was our favorite spot to be. If you like to hike there are so many beautiful trails around Marble and surrounding towns. We definitely will be back again.
