The room was a nice size and everything looked clean. The staff was very accommodating to our requests. And it’s close to everything in and around Carbondale.

The bathroom was in awful shape,tub showed age really bad.The metal door frames were rusty in sevaral spots.Ceiling in bathroom was in terrible shape.Had very little hot water for shower,i ran out and water turned cold.They just need to do a remodel job.

Very shabby property. I was embarrassed to stay there. I apologized to my companion about this booking! :( There was a broken closet door. The carpets in the hallway were very worned out. The bathtub was unsafe and slippery. This facility is badly in need of modernization.

We had a nice stay here and it waw very close to where we needed to be. Food in our mini fridge and broken ice makers and drink machines kept us from giving 5☆ reviews across the board.

Worst Western, needs a re do!
The linoleum floor was dirty, the bathtub had rust stains and dripped continuously, the furniture was chipped (chunks missing) and the cloth on the desk chair was covered with some kind of stains like dried smeared food. Although the linens were clean they had a faint smell of bleach. The left side on the bed box mattress must have been broken as it clunked and sunk when you got in and out of it. The heat and cooling unit outflow vent was clogged with unrecognizable dirt which made it not work very well. We have often stayed in Best Western Inns and have been very satisfied but this one was what we would call Worst Western, especially for what we paid for two nights!

There was a constant ticking noise throughout the stay. It seemed to be coming from inside the wall. So bad that I could not sleep all night. The shower was dirty. Piles of dust and black smudges along the edge of the shower.

Upon arrival to our room, we were in the parking lot and were hit with the odor of pot. Thought, okay, it's in the parking lot. That's good, it won't be inside. In our room was fine, but the stairwell was awful. Our room was rather small, vinyl flooring, hole in the bathroom door. We had no HDMI cable. The staff was kind enough to go get one. Until then, we had no TV. The rooms above us had loud walkers. The amenities of shampoo, conditioner and soap were tiny offerings for this family of 4. Only 3 towels were given. The fire alarm went off at 4am, probably related to the pot in the stairwell. All of the vending machines were unplugged. The staff was the only positive about this property to be honest. Very nice and pleasant, easy to deal with for our issues. Probably won't be back. $225 a night for this family saluki weekend was a rip off. It is worth maybe $80 a night.

I had two reservations for the same room because I had to extend the date. I called the main phone number for best Western and talked to somebody about it who marked the information in my account. I called the actual hotel twice to make sure everything was going to be fine. When I got there, I reminded the person at the desk of this conversation, and there was no record of what was happening. so I was completely inconvenienced and frustrated after I put so much time into letting the hotel and organization know ahead of time the situation. This was even more inconvenient when somebody tried to come into our room thinking that it was empty. I will not stay at this location again.

We arrived early (just after noon following an all-night drive from Denver) and were warmly greeted and allowed to head straight to our room. Everything was clean and as-expected. This was not intended to be a 5-Star hotel, but it was exactly what we wanted: clean, comfortable, and staffed by friendly, helpful people. It is convenient to downtown and to lots of surrounding conveniences, e.g., shopping, restaurants, etc. Give it a try!

Our ultimate goal is for our guests to be comfortable both in the summertime, and in the winter. Our maintenance staff has a regular schedule dedicated to checking the working order of appliances, the state of the furniture in the rooms, and bathroom fixtures. I am sorry that we failed to do this during your most recent stay. I am especially upset to hear that the situation was not addressed right away.
